Sebastian Röthenbach additionally served as the 19th Vice-Chairman of the Fascist Authority Party from 2961 to 2872. Röthenbach did not run for a fourth term as Governor-General in 2987, opting to become the party's candidate for Foreign Affairs; in 2988 he was confirmed and inaugurated as Foreign Minister. In 2995 Röthenbach announced his retirement from politics, opting not to serve in new cabinet, and stepped down from his leadership position; his handpicked successor, Wolfgang von Gröninburg, was easily confirmed by the National Congress to succeed him.
