Gruntilda hat drei Schwestern, Mingella, Blobbelda und Brentilda (Wobei Mingella und Blobbelda böse sind und nur in Banjo-Tooie auftauchen und Brentilda zu den Guten gehört und nur in Banjo-Kazooie auftaucht). Sie hat einen treuen Diener, Klungo, mit dem man in Banjo-Tooie 3mal kämpft, der ihr allerdings nach Banjo-Tooie den Rücken kehrt und Videospiele programmieren geht. In Banjo-Kazooie: Schraube Locker bekommt sie dann vom L. O. G. einen neuen Körper, mit dem sie nochmals gegen Banjo antreten will, um den Besitz des Spiral Mountains zu erlangen. Jedoch verliert sie im Endkampf gegen das Duo und muss daraufhin in der Videospielfabrik vom L. O. G. schufften.
