abstract
  • Bootes III was the inhabited third planet of its star system. Its landscape featured farms that were tended by automatic machinery as well as a few Humans, which included Eve McHuron and her brothers. The planet also had at least one canal. (TOS: "Mudd's Women" ) This planet is not named on screen, where it is referred to only as "a farm planet". Its name is derived from the final draft script of "Mudd's Women". In that document, the planet was described as a "wheat-growing planet" where there's "one man for each five women." Although Bootes III is described as having machines and a few Humans on screen, this echoes how Ruth Bonaventure's planet of origin, identified as a pelagic planet was described in the script.
