If you destroy the mask in its upgraded form, you can still reclaim it at the Statue of Death, but you will need to re-buy the upgraded from Moia for 10,000 coins, after the Dishonour among Thieves quest. The mask can also be worn in the head slot, thus saving space for a scrimshaw being worn. To do this, right-click on the upgraded version of the mask and click Switch. This will give you the option to `Switch to mask`. Returning the mask works vise versa, Selecting the `Switch to pocket slot` option.
