(Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion) Some references appeared to be in-jokes based on the Paramount Pictures television series Cheers. Omicron Ceti III was depicted in TOS: "This Side of Paradise" as incapable of supporting Human life, which raises the question of whether this personnel file (which was shown during a dream sequence) was entirely accurate. However, it is possible that a way was found to colonize this world by the 24th century, as was the case with a similar world, Archer IV.
