  • As suggested by its difficulty rating, Outback is one of the easiest tracks in the game besides Proving Grounds. The player can reach top speed in most parts of the track.
  • The Outback is a desolate region on Aridas. It featured a Dominion outpost which was attacked by the zerg. Holding the line for five days, its defenders were eventually overcome, having run out of resources. In response, Commander Jenson Archimedes dictated that the region be returned to terran control in order to prevent the zerg from gaining vital locations. In this the Dominion was successful.

  • The Outback was the name given to a vast area of remote desert in the country of Australia on the planet Earth. During the mid-22nd century, Starfleet officers were known to undertake survival training in the Outback, where they were taught to survive on recycled sweat and snake meat. Captain Jonathan Archer and Commander Trip Tucker both spent two weeks here during the 2140s. (ENT: "Desert Crossing")
  • Outback was a planet in the Hundred Worlds, settled by humans of Australian descent.
  • Possibly the most fun you'll ever have on youtube.
  • When the Race Colonists arrived in 1962, they heavily colonized the Australian Outback, finding the arid landscape familiar with that of Home. Here, Race colonization progressed uninhibited by the local inhabitants and flourished. During the Race-German War of 1965, Race cities were targeted by German ballistic missile submarines and although many were destroyed, the distance of the region from Germany meant that these cities weren't hit as hard as those in North Africa and Arabia. By 2031, the ecology of the Outback had been overrun by flora and fauna from Home.

(ENT: )
  • The Outback is a CORE 3rd-party unit created by TA-SECT as part of the Tortoise Pack. The unit is armed with a powerful laser and fills the role of a sniper, which allows it to deal significant damage to enemy units from a safe distance. A trait it shares with the other Tortoise units is its ability to submerge underwater, allowing it to travel from island to island undetected providing the enemy doesn't have any submarines, Sonar Stations, or any other units with a sonar at hand. Its ARM counterpart is considered to be the Widow, although the two units function slightly differently.
  • Thinks going by the book is going the long way. Doesn't follow plans -- or roads! Cuts across parking lots, sidewalks, or backyards to get where he's going. Travels at 110 mph, range 800 miles. His 4-wheel drive handles the roughest terrain, climbs grades up to 50 degrees. Carries turret-mounted mortar cannon that shoots armor-piercing shells.
  • The Outback is a hilly desert-like biome filled with patches of grass, small Acacia trees and shrubs. Most of the surface is covered by hardened sand, and elevation can vary by about a dozen blocks. Grass can be found on the ground, with a scatter of tiny trees. Survival is a challenge, because the Acacia trees are only two blocks tall, and animals are scarce. However, there is enough wood to make a sizeable house, and wheat can be grown using grass seeds. Desert Temples may spawn in this biome.

(ENT: "Desert Crossing")
  • The Outback is a harsh area within Australia, destroyed by the lingering decay of radiation. This is the result of the detonation of a fusion power core, obliterating the facility that contained it and leaving its parts scattered far and wide. The Junkers are the only known members of humanity that survive within this region, though most seem to be altered physically and psychologically by the radiation.
  • Outback made his first appearance in "Five Faces of Darkness Part 1". After Ultra Magnus, Kup and Spike Witwicky were kidnapped, the Autobots assumed the recently defeated Decepticons were behind the plot. Rodimus Prime sent out Autobot patrols to seek out any remaining Decepticons. Outback was on patrol with Blaster, when they were called in to investigate suspicious jets in the fictional nation of Carbombya. Using his "trusty Decepticon detector" he lured Dirge and Ramjet out into the open. He and Blaster disabled and interrogated them as to the whereabouts of their new hideout, the planet Chaar. In part 5 Outback was among the Earth-based Autobots forced to defend The Ark from Trypticon. However, the Autobots were no match for the Decepticon monster and the Ark was completely destroyed.
  • Outback thinks going by the book is going the long way. Confident in his own abilities as a warrior, he feels little need to follow someone else's plan. And he'll give anyone an argument who tries to tell him otherwise. In fact, when in vehicular mode, he feels little need to even follow paved roads! He'll cut across parking lots, sidewalks, backyards, virtually anything to get where he's going. Gruff, cantankerous, a Transformer of few words, Outback has few friends and even fewer who truly understand the reason for his anti-social behavior. Deep down, he believes he's destined to be another casualty in the Autobot-Decepticon war, so he doesn't do anything that he considers wasteful of his time while he's still functional. War is a serious business, and Outback believes it requires a seri

He's more comfortable out in the never never anyway, up grades as steep as 50 degrees, or kicking up willie willies at 110 kilometers per hour. In part 5 Outback was among the Earth-based Autobots forced to defend The Ark from Trypticon. However, the Autobots were no match for the Decepticon monster and the Ark was completely destroyed. Outback's next significant role came in "The Quintesson Journal". Outback, Blaster, Sky Lynx and the Autobot cassettes were returning to Cybertron from an undisclosed mission. While en route, Perceptor intercepted a signal determined to be an old Quintesson frequency. He ordered Outback and Blaster to rendezvous to the coordinates from where the signal was originating. The Autobots, as well as the Predacons arrived on the planet and discovered the journal. Soon the Quintessons themselves arrived and attempted to reclaim their journal. This resulted in a three way frenzy to maintain control of the journal. The Autobots eventually escaped with the journal and returned to Cybertron. The contents of the journal revealed the operation by the Quintessons to supply weapons to two warring civilizations, Zetaxus and Lenarq. The sneaky Quintessons would fuel tensions between the two factions, by selling larger and more expensive weapons to each side, without the other knowing it. Neither faction realized they had been conned by the Quintessons until the journal was revealed, leaving the Zetaxus and the Lenarq to agree to a cease fire. Outback did not make any major appearance in the series after this.

Well before the Omnic Crisis, the land was home to settlers and survivalists, solar farmers and those that merely wanted to be left alone. After the Crisis ended, however, the land was taken and given to the omnic. The resulting battles between the displaced humans and robots eventually resulted in the blighted landscape seen today.

Deep down, he believes he's destined to be another casualty in the Autobot-Decepticon war, so he doesn't do anything that he considers wasteful of his time while he's still functional. War is a serious business, and Outback believes it requires a serious - and total - commitment. In vehicle mode, Outback can go up to 110 mph with a range of 800 miles. He can travel over the roughest terrain and his 4-wheel drive allows him to climb grades of up to 50 degrees. He carries a turret-mounted mortar cannon that shoots armor-piercing shells up to a distance of 3 miles. He is impervious to most artillery fire. Outback's philosophy of self-sufficiency often results in his being alone and outnumbered in battle situations. He's prone to tire blowouts due to his penchant for traveling rough terrain.

Way in the back blocks of Outback's mind, however, there lurks a dark certainty. By the rules of Rafferty he lives, and by these rules, he is sure, Outback's bound to be a write off. The army's run by Wallies and the war's a no-hoper, but he's not totally clapped-out yet, so he'll give it a fair go. It's not the best attitude, but he'll share it with anyone without reserve. Outback calls a spade a bloody spade. Let a mission go down the gurgler, though, and Outback's the one who'll sort it. He may be largely a mediocrity; he may be an insubordinate grizzle, but his courage is beyond reproach. By the rules of Rafferty he lives, and so far they've served him well.
