Intelligent and ruthless, he attempts to rob Nancy and Conrad in a standoff with a rival Armenian cartel in the second season finale. As a result of the events of 3x01, Nancy then spends much of season three working off her debt for undelivered product to him. Eventually, it is revealed that U-Turn deals an array of hard drugs, including heroin. While out for a jog in the mountains with Nancy Botwin and his second in command, Marvin, U-Turn has a heart attack. While Nancy runs for help, Marvin seizes the moment and smothers U-Turn to death in an act of revenge, by using his flabby arms as a weapon.
