Anton Vandieken was born on the 4 July 1909. During World War II he volunteered to join the Waffen SS in January 1940. He was posted to the SS Cavalry Brigade and eventually took over command of the 6th Squadron, SS Cavalry Regiment 15. Anton Vandieken survived the war and died on the 29 October 2005.

He was posted to the 52nd SS Cavalry Regiment, 22nd SS Volunteer Cavalry Division Maria Theresia and awarded the Knight's Cross in December 1944. Anton Vandieken survived the war and died on the 29 October 2005.
