He was convinced by the dabo girl Mardah to take one more spin on the wheel, only to lose his entire winnings of latinum. Afterward, he attempted to pursue Mardah as she went on break, but she brushed him off to sit with her boyfriend, Jake Sisko. (DS9: "The Abandoned") Okalar was played by actor Matthew Kimbrough, who was credited as playing an "Alien High Roller". According to the script for this episode, Okalar's name was pronounced as "OK-kuh-lar". [1] The character was of the same species as Zolan from DS9: "Cardassians".
