  • Helena Hill (Japanese: ヒルヘレナ Hiru Herena) is a Pokémon Trainer and one of the current Elite Four member of Kanto. As the niece of Bruno, Helena grew up to train Fighting-types. When her grandfather passed away, he left an egg for her, which turned out to be a Machop, who became her Starter Pokémon. Through trial and error, they fought and eventually made their way to the top, gaining every Kanto badge available. It was only a matter of time before they took on the Pokémon League in hopes of becoming the Champion. However, that dream slowly crumbled as her team was mauled through by Pokémon she'd never seen. Through trial and error, they fought and eventually made their way to the top, gaining every Kanto badge available. It was only a matter of time before they took on the Pokémon League in hopes of becoming the Champion. However, that dream slowly crumbled as her team was mauled through by Pokémon she'd never seen. With the knowledge of new, stronger Pokémon, she began traveling with her now Machamp. From Johto to Kalos, Helena traveled, searching for Pokémon that not only she could help, but also those she could help in their pursuit of strength. Upon returning with a team full of powerful Fighting-types, she took on the Pokémon League once more. With the new diversity of her Pokémon's secondary types, she won and made it to the Elite Four. Upon entering a room full of Psychic-types, she knew it was over. She and her Pokémon fought well but lost in the end to a speedy Alakazam. Her Pokémon were still winners in her eyes, though. It wasn't long after that Viridian Gym's Leader went missing. The Leagues requested Helena take over as the Leader, at least temporarily. She accepted and used the dozens of Pokémon she captured along her journeys to battle those who desire a badge from her. Given she made it to the Elite Four, most recommended that Rookie Trainers skip her until they get stronger because she doesn't follow the usual rule of: weaker Pokémon for new Trainers. The rules sounded ludicrous on its own. To gain eight Badges; that was Trainer's goal. If they couldn't, then they weren't worthy of entering the Pokémon League. That was Helena's mentality on the entire thing. This helped greatly thin out the hundreds who normally entered the Leagues, leading to far more talented Trainers entering and putting up amazing battles. Those who watched, loved it all. A couple years into being a Gym Leader, Helena requested she be part of the Elite Four, which the League excepted since she was such a staple to the League's growing popularity. This allowed her to use her full power without kids complaining or attacks appearing as an overkill like usual. Her first years went great with her nearly getting swept but coming back strong with her Machamp.
