  • Helpless is a condition. * You grant combat advantage. * You can be the target of a coup de grace. Note: Usually you’re helpless because you’re unconscious.
  • Helplessness most commonly ends upon landing on the ground, although it also ends if characters flinch, allowing them to attack or re-use their triple jump. A helpless character is denoted by both a black overlay and a distinct falling animation. A state similar to helplessness exists in falling after having one's shield broken and then being stunned. Curiously, the helpless state gives characters an extra ability in Super Smash Bros.: the ability to fall through soft platforms without landing on them. Starting in Melee, this can be done at any time (not just when a character is helpless).
  • Helpless is the 10th song of Act One of Hamilton. Eliza sings about her hopes and true feelings of Alexander and about the impact he has on her life in the short time he has been in it.
  • Una película basada en la novela "Train" por el escritor japonés Miyabe Miyuki, una mujer desaparece de repente y el misterio queda resuelto, hay temor y conmoción.
  • Dr. Elizabeth Olivet accuses an esteemed gynaecologist of rape.
  • "Helpless" is the twelfth episode of the third season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and is the forty-sixth episode in the season. As Buffy Summers turns 18, the Watchers Council makes her take a test that temporarily renders her Slayer powers useless.
  • Helpless is the eighth episode of the fourteenth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
  • Helpless (無力; Muryoku) is the seventy-ninth chapter of the Elfen Lied manga series.
  • A helpless character is paralyzed, held, bound, sleeping, unconscious, or otherwise completely at an opponent’s mercy. A helpless target is treated as having a Dexterity of 0 (–5 modifier). Melee attacks against a helpless target get a +4 bonus (equivalent to attacking a prone target). Ranged attacks gets no special bonus against helpless targets. Rogues can sneak attack helpless targets. Delivering a coup de grace provokes attacks of opportunity.

Melee attacks against a helpless target get a +4 bonus (equivalent to attacking a prone target). Ranged attacks gets no special bonus against helpless targets. Rogues can sneak attack helpless targets. As a full-round action, an enemy can use a melee weapon to deliver a coup de grace to a helpless foe. An enemy can also use a bow or crossbow, provided he is adjacent to the target. The attacker automatically hits and scores a critical hit. (A rogue also gets her sneak attack damage bonus against a helpless foe when delivering a coup de grace.) If the defender survives, he must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + damage dealt) or die. Delivering a coup de grace provokes attacks of opportunity. Creatures that are immune to critical hits do not take critical damage, nor do they need to make Fortitude saves to avoid being killed by a coup de grace.
