  • Richard Henry Blood (February 28, 1953), better known by his ring name Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, is a former American professional wrestler who became one of the most well-known professional wrestlers of the late 1980s and early '90s. He is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment working as a road agent. He was well-known among wrestling fans as being one of the few wrestlers who stayed a babyface throughout his lengthy career. He is best known for his work with American Wrestling Association (AWA), National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
  • Talentless Hawaiian rassler who had various no-drawing feuds with Ric Flair. Born in 1941 in Hawaii, in New York(eh?) Feuded around the indie cicrcuit, before joining the NWA in 1972, where he befriended a young, portly, brunette Flair. The pair had some of the most BORING matches of all time, yet both won Singles and Tag Team Gold. Departed for the WWF during the Hulkamania boom, and exposed that Pro Wrestling is Fake for a whole genertaion of kids with his goofy, stupid-looking selling. Refused to work house shows and dropped the belt to The Honky Tonk Man. Defeated Flair by screwjob. Yup.

Feuded around the indie cicrcuit, before joining the NWA in 1972, where he befriended a young, portly, brunette Flair. The pair had some of the most BORING matches of all time, yet both won Singles and Tag Team Gold. Departed for the WWF during the Hulkamania boom, and exposed that Pro Wrestling is Fake for a whole genertaion of kids with his goofy, stupid-looking selling. Stole the show at WrestleMania III with his match against the Macho Man Randy Savage. Apparently, all those botched spots, ref bumps and stalling were the MOTY. And let's not forget the lameass finish. Oh, and the sight of George The Animal Steele's obese frame chasing Miss Elizabeth around ringside, and eating the turnbuckles. ***** BABY!!! Refused to work house shows and dropped the belt to The Honky Tonk Man. Dropped back into the undercard where his slitty-eyed yellow-skinned being belongs. Returned to NWA/WCW in 1989 and did the following.... Defeated Flair in a Tag Match in his first match in. Then pinned Flair for the World Title, making the likes of Sting, Barry Windham, Lex Luger, Dusty Rhodes, Eddie Gilbert etc. who had been chasing the belt for ages look like even bigger losers. Defeated Flair by screwjob. Dropped the belt clean to Flair. Refused to put the younger guys over, and demanded a cool million a year, prompting his release. Oh, and all those Flair=Steamboat matches were ***** BABY!' Presumably each star represents one million dollars lost. Or one million WCW fans who never watched ever again. 1989 NWA was the Best Thing Ever. Sure, it lost millions of dollars, didn't elevate a single new star, and buried the guys that actually were over, but fuck that ***** BABY! Flipped-flopped between WCW and WWF, picking up secondary belts, and refusing to put younger guys over. Returned full-time to WCW in 19933 and made Steve Austin his personal bitch. Buried Austin in match after match, and had ANOTHER heatless Main Event feud with his best buttbuddy Flair. Was supposed to drop the US Title to Austin at Fall Brawl 1994, but claimed injury and got out of doing the job. Instead Austin won the belt via forefit, then was pinned in 10 seconds. Yup. His ugly face continues to appear on our screens however. Returned to ring action more recently. Hmmmm. At least he put a younger dude(Chris Jericho) over. Sort of. Was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame, joining such Wrestling Legends as Johnny Rodz, Pete Rose, and Mae Young. Of course Bruno Sammartino, Bob Backlund and Randy Savage ain't in there.... (ALL three guys have subsequently gone into the Hall of Fame, albeit AFTER the likes of Steamboat, Edge, Chris von Erich and Drew Carey.)
