  • On Christmas Eve 1843, while all of Victorian England is in the merry spirit of Christmas, Ebenezer Scrooge (Mr. Krabs, with full Scottish accent) thinks only of the money he has made and of making more (apparently, he charges people 80% interest, compounded daily). While Scrooge's selfish thoughts cascade in his head, Bob Cratchit (SpongeBob SquarePants, voiced by Tom Kenny), exhausted and underpaid, continues to work long and hard for him. Cratchit reluctantly asks for a "half day off" for Christmas, to which Scrooge replies it will be unpaid (in contrast to the original version where Scrooge is irritated at giving Cratchit Christmas off with pay) When collectors Lampy and Radio (voiced by Tim Stack and Roger Kabler respectively), along with beggars on the streets, kindly ask for a simpl

  • Written in a strange collaboration between Steven Moffman and Mister Charley Dickens himself. The story follows Matty Matt Smiff as he wanders around having many fun Christmases with a young boy while his friends die above him. It's not as bad as it sounds. Every Christmas he meets up with young Kazran Soredick to frolic with a frozen sick woman and whatever else young people do at Christmas. I dunno. Meth? Sex? Over time, the grown woman gets really horny for shota Kazran, but is willing to make do with rich, young, handsome Kazran. Unfortunately, within hours of first witnessing old, ugly, unhappy Kazran, she dies of blueballs, managing to hold on to enough breath to whisper "He's... oogleh" before expiring. • Announcer: And now it's time for "Bum Reviews" with Chester A. Bum. Tonight's review: "Disney's A Christmas Carol." Chester: OH MY GOD, this is the greatest movie I've ever seen in my life! (singing) 'Tis the season to be spoilers! So, I walk into the movie theater and it says "Disney's A Christmas Carol." Oh goody! I love this version! With Mickey Mouse and Scrooge McDuck playing the roles! And then suddenly...this old man pops up with Richard Nixon's nose and Jay Leno's chin... That's not Scrooge McDuck! That's Larry King after pruning in the shower! But oh well. The book opens up and it says "A Christmas Carol." And we see Scrooge walking down this street. And then it says "A Christmas Carol" again! ...Okay. What's with all these movies showing their titles twice? First "Terminator: Salvation" and now this! Do they really think we're going to forget the title in five seconds? Actually, given what I just smoked, that's not a bad idea. So, Scrooge is the meanest man in town. When suddenly he's visited by a ghost called Jacob Marley! And Scrooge is like "I've seen 'Paranormal Activity'! You're not going to do anything to me until the last five minutes!" And Marley is like *sticks out tongue* "Blah." *screams and faints* So Marley says Scrooge'll be haunted by three spirits. And the first one is a candlestick man with his head on fire! I set my head on fire once! Twice! Three times! Four at the most! This last Friday. And he shows Scrooge just how nice he was in the past. And the ghost is like "See? You weren't such a douchebag then." And Scrooge is like "Shut up! You don't know me! You don't know me!" And then the ghost starts to shift into these hideous, digusting faces. Did I mention Jim Carrey played this role? And Scrooge is like "I'm gonna put you out with this dust cap!" BOOM! There, I put the ghost out. But then it launches him into the sky! *He runs back and forth screaming* And the people are like "Look! Smoke on the water and fire in the sky!" But then he drops him back for the next ghost to appear! This is the Ghost of Christmas Present. And he makes the floor disappear and fly around the neighborhood! Big deal! That's what I see when I look down at the floor 24/7! (looks down) Hey, look, fish. So the Ghost of Christmas Present is like "You're such a douche." "I know!" "All your friends think you're a douche." "I know!" "Even Jesus thinks you're a douche." "Oh, come on! How do you know that?" "I've talked to him." "You did?" "Called you a douche." "Aw, man! I'm a douche!" *sobs* And then Scrooge is like "Wait a minute. What's that under your robe?" "It's my penis!" *flashes* (screams) "And two ugly children!" (screams) "And they think you're a douche too!" (screams) And then the Ghost of Christmas Present starts to fade away. "My time on this planet is over. I must return to the planet Vulcan!" And he does it all by laughing! "Hahahahahahahaha!" (disappears) And then the Ghost of Christmas Future appears...and it's a shadow puppet! (makes hand shadow) "I am the Ghost of Christmas Future!" "What are you going to do to me?" "I'm gonna shrink you and toss you around a bit!" "...But why?" "Shut up!" "Ahh!" (pretends to shrink) So, little Scrooge is walking around, and he's like *high-pitched voice* "I'll never be able to make a decent living like this! Maybe I can join the singing trio of Alvin and the Chipmunks! *singing* I just want a hoola hoop!" And then the Ghost of Christmas Future shows him the terrible truth! (hand shadow) "Tiny Tim is dead!" "No!" "Your friends are dead!" "No!" "And YOU are dead!" (gasps) "You mean a frail, old man like me dies eventually?!" "Yeeep." (screams) And then this red coffin opens up. The Ghost of Christmas Future is trying to push him in! And Scrooge is shouting "I'll change!" No, wait. I'm thinking of the Mickey Mouse version again. In this version, the red coffin opens up. The Ghost of Christmas Future is trying to push him in! And Scrooge is shouting "I'll change!" And I'm like "Dude, he's not the one who needs change! I'M the one that needs change!" I just ate a cat for dinner! That Meow Mix did deliver! So, Scrooge is dropped back at his home. And he's like "I'm not a douche anymore! ...Though my nose and chin still look like penises." So, Tiny Tim doesn't die, Scrooge doesn't die, and Tiny Tim observes "God bless us, everyone!" HOORAY! "Except for the Bum!" Awww... So, this movie really shows the true meaning of Christmas. And that is to not be a douche! In fact, they should just change it to that! "Merry Stop Being A Douche Day!" And we can change all the Christmas carols! (singing) Have yourself a merry Stop Being A Douche Day. Ooh! I should make a recording! I'll be the biggest thing since William Hung! Okay, maybe not that good. This is Chester A. Bum saying CHANGE?! Ya got change?! Aw, c'mon, help a guy out, will ya?! C'mon, change! C'mon, Santa doesn't visit my house! My box of popsicles doesn't even have a chimney!

He is unaware of the poverty in which his employee Bob Cratchit lives and the difficulties he and his family face. Scrooge has a change of heart after he is visited by four spirits. On Christmas Eve, the ghost of his late business partner Jacob Marley warns his of the terrible fate that awaits him if he does not change his ways. Afterwards, Scrooge is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come.
  • Disney's A Christmas Carol is a 2009 animated 3D movie adaptation of the Charles Dickens story of the same title. The movie was released by Walt Disney Pictures on November 6, 2009. It received its world premiere in London Leicester Square, which had a Dickensian theme.
Cratchit reluctantly asks for a "half day off" for Christmas, to which Scrooge replies it will be unpaid (in contrast to the original version where Scrooge is irritated at giving Cratchit Christmas off with pay) When collectors Lampy and Radio (voiced by Tim Stack and Roger Kabler respectively), along with beggars on the streets, kindly ask for a simple donation, Scrooge responds that if he does, the poor will no longer be poor and thus they (the collectors) will be out of work, "and you [can't] ask me to do that, not on Christmas Eve." He also turns down his cheery nephew Fred (Timmy Turner, voiced by Tara Strong) who invites him to a wonderful holiday feast of plump goose with chestnut dressing, candied fruits, and cinnamon cake with lemon sauce, stating that such rich festive cuisine gives him digestive and other health difficulties.("are you daft? You know I can't eat that stuff!") That Christmas Eve night, the ghost of Jacob Marley (B.O.B., voiced by Seth Rogen), Scrooge's greedy former business partner, appears. Scrooge commends him for his ruthlessness. Marley chuckles "Yup", then recalls his sinfulness, and tells that because of his cruelty in life, he is doomed to wear heavy chains for eternity, or "maybe even longer". He warns that a similar fate, if not worse, will befall Scrooge unless he changes his ways. Marley/B.O.B. then leaves, falling down the stairs when he tries to avoid tripping over Scrooge's cane again and letting out his signature B.O.B. holler. Scrooge soon dismisses the incident, but is later awoken by the Ghost of Christmas Past (Pedro the Little Plane, voiced by Frank Welker). He shows Scrooge his past, when his growing love of money led him to break the heart of Isabelle (Jenny Wakeman, voiced by Janice Kawaye), who had waited for years to marry him. Not long after the first visit, the Ghost of Christmas Present (The Giant, voiced by Will Ryan) arrives, surrounded by Turkey, Mince Pies, and Suckling Pigs. He reveals the misery Scrooge has caused by showing him the poverty-stricken Cratchit family. Bob's young son, Tiny Tim (Billy SquarePants, voiced by Zachary Gordon), is ill, and the Giant foretells tragedy if the family's hapless life does not change. However, just when Scrooge is desperate to know Tim's fate, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the house both vanish. The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (a hooded figure later revealed to be Plankton, also voiced by Doug Lawrence) takes Scrooge to a graveyard. When he sees Bob mourning for Tiny Tim, who has passed away (indicated by Bob placing Tim's crutch on his memorial marker), Scrooge realizes he can no longer treat others in such a cruel way. He then overhears the laughter of two gravediggers (Squidward and Patrick); apparently, they are amazed and humored by the fact that no one attended the funeral of the man whose grave they were digging for. After the weasels finish their work and leave, Scrooge and the ghost approach the lonely grave, where the ghost lights a cigar, revealing Scrooge's name on the tombstone, and gives him a shove into his grave. Scrooge falls towards his coffin as the lid opens and the flames of hell burst out. Scrooge clings to vine but it snaps and Scrooge falls into his grave, shouting his repentance, as the ghost laughs cruelly. Suddenly, he is back home on Christmas morning. Having been given another chance, he throws his coat over his nightshirt, dons his cane and top hat, and goes to visit the Cratchits, cheerfully donating generous amounts of money along the way and telling Fred that he will come after all. He tries to play a ninny on Bob, dragging in a large sack supposedly filled with laundry and announcing gruffly that there will be extra work in the future. But to the Cratchits' joy, the sack is instead filled with toys and a big turkey for dinner. Scrooge gives Bob a raise and makes him his partner in the counting house, and Tiny Tim proclaims the original character's famous line of "God bless us, everyone!"

  • In 1869, Dickens gave a reading from this story in Cardiff. It was interrupted by the Gelth-possessed corpse of Mrs Peace who, in life, had been a fan of the story. (TV: The Unquiet Dead) The Eleventh Doctor used the story as a basis for a plan to convince Kazran Sardick to save a crashing starliner. (TV: A Christmas Carol) In a world where all of history occurred at once because River Song refused to kill the Doctor, Charles Dickens gave some details about his "new Christmas special" on TV, at 5:02pm 22 April 2011, as that was always the time and date in that timeline. He said that it would involve ghosts and the past, the present and future, all at the same time. (TV: The Wedding of River Song)
