  • Templar (Tactics)
rdfs:comment
  • Templar , also known as Temple Knight, is a special job from Final Fantasy Tactics. It is Beowulf's default job, and is a mix of physical and magickal classes, using a sword to cast offensive magick. It is essentially an extraordinarily powerful Mystic with the drawbacks, naturally, of needing a sword to access the abilities. Its abilities target one unit instead of having area of effect, but with the benefit of not having a charge time and with a higher hit rate. In The War of the Lions, Beowulf's friend and rival Aliste is also a Templar.

The Runeblade gives a +2 Magick bonus to counter this, and can be bought later in the game. The animation of the Spellblade abilities, with the exception of Vengeance, are that of the Mystic's without the Shikigami in the beginning of the spell's animation. It costs 4,340 JP to master this job. In The War of the Lions, Beowulf's friend and rival Aliste is also a Templar.
