- Series 21 is the twenty-first series of Casualty. It aired from 23 September 2006 to 4 August 2007 and consisted of 48 episodes. Memorable moments of the series include Josh's stabbing, Ellen's death, Selena's pregnancy, Cyd's snake bite, Selena's baby's birth and Selena's death. The opening two-part episode of the series partially took place in Cambodia as part of the show's 20th anniversary celebrations. Cathy Shipton reprised her role as Lisa "Duffy" Duffin for the episodes. Episode three saw the arrivals of paramedics Kathleen "Dixie" Dixon and Cynthia "Cyd" Pyke, portrayed by Jane Hazlegrove and Joanne King, respectively. Episode 25 saw the arrival of another paramedic, Jeff Collier, portrayed by Matt Bardock. Bardock departed later in the series, only to return in series 22. Episode 26 saw the arrival of staff nurse Nadia Talianos portrayed by Daphne Alexander.
