He then accompanied Masada to a briefing of senior officer's from both the Constellation and the USS Enterprise regarding the plague which had broken out on Alpha Proxima and its relation to the Malkus Artifacts. (TOS - The Brave and the Bold, Book One novella: The First Artifact) Sontor presumably perished with the rest of the Constellation crew in 2267 during the encounter with an ancient "planet killer" depicted in TOS episode: "The Doomsday Machine".
