Like most young Bothans he had stepped on bugs, pulled the wings off insects, and even set fire to the family pet… but unlike others his age, he never grew out of it. He saw that all creatures felt fear, and that he had been gifted with the power to feel that fear. He became addicted to it. Tavos kept his abilities secret from his parents, pretending to be their perfect son for several years. When he finally revealed who he really was to them, Tavos took a sadistic pleasure in killing them, mutilating their bodies nearly beyond recognition. When the Bothan authorities discovered the murders, Tavos was forced to flee before he was caught. He ended up in the Cult of Shadow soon after. Tavos' skills saw him gain the rank of Dark Knight within the cult, but the accomplishment was to be short-lived. Shortly after achieving his new rank, Tavos became involved in the Battle of Onderon. He was assigned to Arksis Nan's group which were tasked with keeping any Jedi from escaping into the jungle. Tavos, along with two other cult members, came across a group of young students led by Caitlin Voss. After killing one of the students, Tavos himself was killed by Caitlin, putting an end to the brutal Darksider.
