  • Within Doctor Who comics, he can be regarded as effectively, as of 2016 the current Doctor Who Magazine "house letterer", having lettered the overwhelming majority of comics since his debut on DWM 272's Happy Deathday in late 1998. Almost every issue of DWM published in the 21st century—again, as of 2016—was lettered by Langridge. He has even worked some Doctor Who into other franchises. In 2009, was the main creator of several Muppet comics. One picture depicted as the Fourth Doctor and as Romana II in her schoolgirl outfit.

  • Langridge originally came to public prominence most notably with the Judge Dredd Megazine series The Straitjacket Fits, a surreal, hallucinatory, convention-bending strip set in an insane asylum with a cast of characters who realized they were in a comic strip and burst from the edge of the frame. Langridge has worked on Fin Fang Four, with Scott Gray, first for Marvel Monsters, then a series of short stories and in late 2008 as a digital comic on Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited. He was the writer, and usually the artist, for Boom! Studios' The Muppet Show comics (2009-12).

He has also occasionally pencilled, inked and even coloured some stories along the way. Deathday, for example, was also his Doctor Who pencil and ink debut, and was followed by artistic duties on TV Action!, the back half of The Glorious Dead (where he was co-credited as penciller with Martin Geraghty), The Autonomy Bug, Where Nobody Knows Your Name, The Green-Eyed Monster, Death to the Doctor!, Planet Bollywood, and The Stockbridge Showdown (which also had art by Dave Gibbons, Adrian Salmon, Dan McDaid, John Ross, Mike Collins, John Ridgway, Martin Geraghty and David A Roach). He thus was an artist who professionally draw all incarnations of the Doctor (apart from the War Doctor) up to the Eleventh, even though many of his renderings were obvious parodic in Death. Additionally, while The Stockbridge Showdown featured the Twelfth Doctor, Langridge did not draw any pages involving the Twelfth Doctor for that comic strip. Finally, he coloured Me and My Shadow and Where Nobody Knows Your Name. He has even worked some Doctor Who into other franchises. In 2009, was the main creator of several Muppet comics. One picture depicted as the Fourth Doctor and as Romana II in her schoolgirl outfit.

His early work included The Straitjacket Fits (written by fellow New Zealander David Bishop and named after a New Zealand band) and inks in Judge Dredd: Lawman of the Future.
His cartoon style proved perfect for the series and he continued to work for the Megazine, in addition to a series of comedy books dedicated to his Buster Keaton-inspired character Fred the Clown, which he wrote and drew as a webcomic before self-publishing the material as small press titles. His work on Fred the Clown was nominated for two Eisner Awards, a Harvey Award, a Reuben Award and an Ignatz Award. Langridge also does illustration work. He has also provided artwork for Shaenon Garrity's Smithson webcomic. In 2012, he scripted for IDW a four-issue Popeye miniseries, illustrated by Bruce Ozella, so successful that even before the second issue was released it was expanded into an "ongoing" series, according to Langridge.
