Time Travel is a really important part in the Dronian Universe. Time travel is the concept of moving backwards or forwards to different periods of time. It was largely used in science fiction, and until recently, was thought to be considered impossible. It was the cause for frequent alterations in mankind's future, resulting in much more devastating wars each time it was used as a way to simply make life better for an individual. Chuck Norris can turn back time by looking at a clock and flexing. He used this method to stop the JFK assassination by deflecting the bullet with his beard. However, JFK's head exploded in awe. Time Travel is the act of moving backward or forward in time at a rate faster than naturally possible without aid or skipping forward without passing through subsequent moments at all. This is often acomplished via a worm-hole or usage of tachyon particles and Time Machines that manipulate either or both of these two and/or other forces. Time Travel is a temporal displacement that occurs when a person leaves their native time period and travels into the future or the past for any length and duration of time. According to Rommie, there are multiple theories regarding time travel, with one theory stating that timeline is fixed, meaning that no matter what a person does, history can never be changed. Another theory states that time is constantly in flux meaning changing the past in even the slightest way can have infinite consequences for the future. Time Travel [05:00] is an Ugress track from the digital release The B Vault. Time Travel is the ability to move through time and space into the past or the future. This ability can be achieved through an independent power or through other means such as spell casting and potions. Users of this power can travel through time in both directions, though there are many differences between traveling to the past and the future. Time Travel is a powerful and potentially dangerous ability as it can be used to change the course of history and alter the Grand Design. Time Travel is the ability in which an individual or object literally moves through different points in time. A select few methods that make time travel possible exist on or in relation to Sonic's World, such as the Little Planet, where time travel can be performed through use of Time Warp Plates. In addition, the planetoid is homed to the seven Time Stones, which can allegedly grant the user complete control over time itself. At some point in the past, Dr. Eggman attempted to obtain these seven stones, but was stopped by Sonic, who utilized the aformentioned warp plates. (VG: SCD) Time travel is the concept of moving between different moments in time in a manner analogous to moving between different points in space, either sending objects (or in some cases just information) backwards in time to a moment before the present, or sending objects forward from the present to the future without the need to experience the intervening period (at least not at the normal rate). Fox Mulder believed that he travelled to 1939 whilst investigating the disappearance of the S.S. Queen Anne in the Bermuda Triangle.(TXF: "Triangle") The following topics are part of the book: * The thoughts of Dr. Spector and the story * The companions * The missing famous persons of the past The book is written from Dr. Spector's perspective and holds many of his thoughts and useful information for the Avatar's journey. Time travel is the concept of moving objects forward or backward in time. It has been used as a plot device in fiction since at least the 19th century. Some notable examples include Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, H.G. Wells' The Time Machine, The Terminator, and Back to the Future. In reality, current human understanding of physics does not permit traveling backwards in time, but using Albert Einstein's special and general theories of relativity, it is theoretically possible to travel forward in time by means of time dilation. Time travel is a colloquial term for journeying into the past or the future. There are several known ways to travel through time, including wormholes under special conditions (such as intersecting with a solar flare), special devices (Time machines) and local time manipulations within a Time dilation field. If the past is altered, the following chain of events will change, creating a new timeline. The new timeline is considered as "Main," while timelines with lack of intervention are considered as "Alternate." (SG1: "1969", "Unending", SGA: "Before I Sleep") There is the well-known paradox of traveling into the past to kill your mother before you were born. Actually, it works for anyone known by anyone else. The contradiction is that if you were never born, how did you go back in time to kill your mother? The Time Traveler's Time Machine could travel freely back and forth through time, by pulling a lever backward or pushing it forward. While seated in his machine, he could see the world changing around him rapidly, as though watching a video tape in fast forward or rewind. (The Time Machine franchise: "The Time Machine", "The Time Ships") Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth invented a Forwards Time Machine which had the same effect as The Time Traveler's, but could not travel backwards in time. (Futurama franchise: "Futurama") Contrary to popular belief, yes, there is a way to time travel. I warn you, though, only do this if you really, really long to experience such a phenomenon. All you need is... some of the blue stuff, yes. Take it and add it to some water in a container about the size of a shot glass, but make sure it's something you're willing to lose. Don't put it in any big glasses, or the resulting mixture will create a vapor that will burn your insides and kill you and everything in a mile's radius once it spreads. You'll keep walking, and notice more and more words. Hope. Lead. Power. Hope. Null. Hope. Hope. RIP. In the episode Ricksy Business, Rick used a gadget to freeze time so that they could clean up the party they had before Beth and Jerry got home. In the episode A Rickle in Time, time was still frozen from the previous episode and had been for the equivalent of six months. When time was unfrozen, Rick, Morty, and Summer were unable to touch anyone or anything for a while, or else a paradox would ensue. This rule was quickly broken and time started to split in two and eventually multiply throughout the episode. Each version of time was slightly different, with differences such as Morty and Summer switching places, and they had to control the places they went in order to fuse time back together again. Time travel is the concept and central theme in the story of Fire Emblem Awakening. The ability to move through time. Sub-power of Time Manipulation. Not to be confused with Event Experiencing. On Twitter in early January 2013, Tim Stuby used the hashtag "#timetravelerose" regarding an averted Apple Family Reunion animation error of Apple Rose incidentally appearing young during Raise This Barn. Time Travel is accomplished when a Demon Warlock creates a Time tunnel so that people or objects can be transported through time. Time travel is a main theme of The Lost Colony and The Time Paradox. When Artemis Fowl and Holly Short went back into the past and came back to the present in The Time Paradox, Artemis matured rapidly to about 18, while Holly returned to her adolescent state. Time travel is a technology developed in the Tri-System region. It appears to isolated to that region and virtually anywhere else in the galaxy (except around jump points, and the use of the Akwende Drive, and certain Pilgrim abilities to sense space-time). It primarily throws a person foreword in time (and is unknown if it will allow a person to go in reverse), so in a sense is closer to a form of time dilation. DEDFLASH is a space/time cruiser can predict the future of a flight. Time travel is the concept of moving between different points in time in a manner analogous to moving between different points in space, generally using a theoretical invention known as a time machine. Time travel is a recognized concept in philosophy and fiction, but has a very limited support in theoretical physics, usually only in conjunction with quantum mechanics or Einstein–Rosen bridge. Time travel is the act of moving between different moments in time; either sending objects backwards in time to a moment before the present, or sending objects forward from the present to the future without the need to experience the intervening period (at least not at the normal rate). [picture needed] The science of time travel is referred to as temporal mechanics. Rip Hunter, inventor of the Time Sphere, and a time traveler in his own right, is an expert in the field of temporal mechanics. __NOEDITSECTION__ [[English name::| ]][[English name (linked)::| ]][[Card image::| ]] [[Card type:: Card| ]][[Card type (short)::[[ Card|]]| ]][[Attribute::| ]][[Type::| ]] [[Lore::Select 1 monster you control and remove it from play until your opponent's next Standby Phase. It has a commonly recognized place in philosophy and fiction, but has a very limited application in real world physics, such as in quantum mechanics or wormholes. Time travel is the mythological belief that someone could actually travel through time. In fact, there are simple ways to time travel, and they don't involve a big team of scientists trying to figure it all out. These include: * Changing the time on the clock * Going to Alaska where it's always night * Relise that you can't change time or travel through it Those are the three main ways. Hi Bogo,The goals seem rahter wider than just privacy, and it doesn't seem particularly linked to Firefox so why is the project called Privacy Fox? Gerv Hi Bogo,The goals seem rahter wider than just privacy, and it doesn't seem particularly linked to Firefox so why is the project called Privacy Fox? Gerv Because of the risks inherent to altering the outcome of historical events, via figures from one era interacting with another (usually the past), time travel was closely monitored, regulated and discouraged. In the Federation, the Department of Temporal Investigations was charged with this task. Time travel was also possible between parallel universes. (ENT: "In A Mirror, Darkly") Rakata designed the Teenage Device with one specific purpose: bringing their users face-to-face with their sixteen-year-old selves. (Star Trek: False Vacuum: "Dear Sixteen-Year-Old Me") Time travel allows an individual or group of individuals to move to either either forward or backward in time, in such a way as to be able to interact with the surroundings and occupants of that time. Depending upon the nature of the universe occupied by the time traveller(s), it may be possible to alter the past in a way that the travellers’ personal timelines are rewritten. (Which might make a paradox.) Other continuities include divergent timelines in which any change creates a new reality. Time travel is a recurring theme and part of the mythology on Lost. First hinted in the season 2 episode, "The Long Con", the Island constantly moves, and by using an ancient wheel underneath the Orchid, the electromagnetic power on the Island allows the inhabitants to travel through time. Other cases feature the risks of time travel, which often end with death, due to the inability to find a constant. __TOC__ Time Travel is the process of travelling through time which features in many Power Rangers and Super Sentai seasons. Time Travel is a broad Level Level Five Quantum power which allows a nova to travel through time. Note: There is some speculation that Time Travel is the power which Maxwell Anderson Mercer uses to travel through time. That, perhaps, is a decision best left up to each individual Storyteller. This happened to Julian Bashir when he traveled backwards in time to meet his grandmother. He did not screw her, and when he returned, he found out he was never born. But because he was never born, he could not have not screwed her, and thus could not be born. therefore he was born so he could go back in time to not screw her. We're not sure if this is what Wells had in mind; Heinlein, perhaps. Time travel is having the ability to or the act of traveling forward or backward in time, thus breaking the seemingly irreversible flow of time. The study of this phenomenon is one of the focuses of temporal mechanics. Alterations to historical events can cause, among other things, alternate timelines and realities. As late as 2154, time travel was deemed impossible by the Vulcan Science Directorate. (ENT: "Awakening") Time travel is the act of changing what time period you are in, making it able to change what happens in the future. One example of timetravel is D.W.'s imagination in D.W.'s Time Trouble where she makes it so she is born before Arthur. Over the years, several successful time machines have been built. Vandal Savage Chronos and Timecode built fully operative machines, while scientists such as Dr. Wakati and Dr. McDonald created devices that could slow its wearer down in hypertime. Toyman once built a temporal displacement beam without knowing it. The time-stream was generally left unpoliced, though the Guardians of the Universe imposed a law that no-one could travel to the beginning of time. Time travel is the act of moving from one part of the timelime to another in any manner other than the slow progress of moving from your date of birth to date of death. Time Travel is the fifth episode of series two of the original series of Bernard's Watch Television program. This episode was first broadcast on 23 October 1998. Time travel is the action of an individual or object traveling through time, forward into the future or backward into the past. The means by which this can occur are numerous, but typically through the use of magic or a scientific device that somehow opens a passageway through time. But the Time Travels can also be negative. For example, if the marble catches a Time Travel set to -4 seconds, it adds 4 seconds to the time. Time Travel is the means of travelling to different time periods, playing a major role in TimeSplitters series. Time travel, often shortened to "TTing", is when the player manually changes the time of their game to benefit from seasonal events, bugs, fish, moving villagers out, moving villagers in, upgrading shops, etc, in their Animal Crossing series games. It is also used to manipulate the ABD interest where, by the end of each month, a certain percentage is added to the player's Bell amount in their bank accounts. Time travel referred to travel from one point in time to another, analogous to travel from point to point in realspace or hyperspace. It does not generally refer to a body's natural experience of the flow of time along with the rest of the universe; rather, it refers to travel to the past against the natural flow of time, or travel to the future at a rate faster than that of the rest of the universe. Season 4 Episode 3 Agents Agents C D K and P and don't forget V There's 5 Agents in Season 4 Time travel is a highly controversial method of transportation, in that most versions of vehicles do not completely run on fossil fuels, which we all know to be power source that all true Americans use. Only homosexuals and abortionists use hybrid-powered time machines. For example, take Michael J. Fox and that creepy old man he hangs out with. (put the damn guns down, yes BTTF was a great movie, we just dont want people to time travel that way in real life) Time travel is also sometimes randomly done with DeLoreans. The nature of time travel is not completely explained, however one can deduce its partial nature through dialogue and revelations by characters. Time travel is primarily achieved through technological means such as the TPDD by time travelers or through data manipulation, in the case of Nagato Yuki. The theories of time travel were invented by Haruhi Suzumiya and the Bespectacled Boy in the future. Ironically, the latter was marked for death by a faction of time travelers (represented by "Fujiwara") before he could contribute to time travel theories. Time Travel is the process of traveling through different points in time. This concept is featured in many Kamen Rider series. By making use of time displacement equipment agents are deployed on missions designed to either ensure, alter, or eradicate the status quo as perceived by the participants at the time. However, the equipment is limited to organic objects, such as humans. Clothes and weapons don't count. A few weeks later, strange energy readings were detected on Cybertron. A team of Autobots and the Aerialbots left to investigate. The Aerialbots, enamored with Cybertron, were on a patrol when they were attacked by three Decepticon jets. Curious, Slingshot surrendered and began to ask the Decepticons questions, like why Prime thought they were evil. All the other Aerialbots except Silverbolt did the same, and Silverbolt followed at a distance. Starscream, feigning friendship, led the naive team into the Kronosphere, a time machine that had been generating the unusual energy readings. As Silverbolt arrived, trying to convince his teammates that they were in a trap, Megatron activated the Kronosphere, intending to send them back to before the beginning of time. Outside of the timestream, the Time travel is any movement through time that is not equivalent to the normal course of time, in particular a person or object's travel leading either to the "past" or faster than usual to the "future". Thus, people displaced in time can use the data points of the "start" and "end" points of their journey to calculate their return trajectory along their circumstance-specific Feynman Curve to return to their own time. It can also be used to calculate a path to initiate a controlled time displacement. The conditions and equations defining time travel are very selective and highly complex. Events are listed in order of their first reference in the show. The earliest time machine was invented by cavemen, who discovered that by hurling a rock at rapid velocities toward another's head, the other person would be transported nearly an hour through time. This primitive time machine was soon replaced by better developments, such as running at full speed into a boulder, punching someone else in the face, and having near-death experiences. Unfortunately, these methods often had unwanted side-effects: the first two methods caused a kind of brain damage; the last involved one's life flashing before one's eyes, which was particularly boring if you were a rather hairy man that lived in caves all day. Definition: n. the hypothetical process of moving between past and future; also written as time-travelEach character on OMA has the capability to move through time because of the Time Chamber Incident. What this means is, your character’s RPs can take place at any time you want them to and is a way for you to RP past or future scenes that help to develop your character in the present time frame.Note: Only those in possession of the time shards can RP that they can actually control where they end up in time. For everyone else, it simply happens by accident.Examples:Example 1: You have a Golden Era character. You character is married to another Golden Era character. How did they meet? To explain this, you can do a time travel thread to Hogwarts where you RP your character as a student meetin 11-Comet-Time-Machine.jpg Why-time-travel-is-impossible 66207 600x450.jpg Time travel is the process of leaving the timestream at a given point, traversing through the timeless realm of Limbo for a timeless interval, and re-entering timestream at another point, not having physically aged in transit. Since there are alternate futures, it is not always possible to travel to the same one. Since traveling into the past always affects reality in at least a minute way, one can never physically travel to one's true past, which is by definition the past in its original state, uncomplicated by extra temporal factors. Time travel is any movement through time that is not equivalent to the normal course of time, in particular a person or object moving from one time to another at a rate greater than the local entropic norm (i.e. moving forward in time faster than the normal "subjective second"-to-"objective second" ratio) leading to the "future," or in an reverse entropic vector (i.e. backwards in time) leading to the "past." In Mega Man II, Dr. Wily uses a time machine (named Time Skimmer in the US and European manuals) to travel to the future. Before the events of the game, Dr. Wily learns of a top-secret project to create an experimental time-machine known as the Time Skimmer at the Time-Space Research Laboratory (Chronos Institute in US and European manuals). He proceeds to steal it, originally planning to use it to change the past, but Wily discovers that the time machine had a serious flaw and could only travel into the future and back. Wily uses it to travel approximately 37.426 years in the future. While in the future, he experiments with the technology of the age and reprograms the future version of Mega Man, taking him back to his own time and renaming him Quint. It is possible that said characters' post-Flashpoint selves must have ceased to exist and been replaced by their pre-Flashpoint selves when the event of their return to Earth Two's timeline as if it occurred in the post-Flashpoint reality. The existence of multiple timelines coexisting together, across the multiverse, is yet another example of temporal mutability. Time travel was, as the name suggested, the process of travelling through time, in any direction. In the 26th century individuals who time travelled were sometimes known as persons of meta-temporal displacement. (PROSE: The Mary-Sue Extrusion) The Eleventh Doctor compared time travel to "a tear in the fabric of reality." (TV: The Name of the Doctor)

[picture needed] Season 4 Episode 3 Agents Agents C D K and P and don't forget V There's 5 Agents in Season 4 Time Travel is a broad Level Level Five Quantum power which allows a nova to travel through time. Note: There is some speculation that Time Travel is the power which Maxwell Anderson Mercer uses to travel through time. That, perhaps, is a decision best left up to each individual Storyteller. Time travel is the concept and central theme in the story of Fire Emblem Awakening. While time travel was an exceedingly rare phenomenon, a few cases were partially documented. No record of deliberate, physical time travel is known—all known cases involved unusual hyperdrive malfunctions, the effects of the Force, or similar exotic events. Time travel is a highly controversial method of transportation, in that most versions of vehicles do not completely run on fossil fuels, which we all know to be power source that all true Americans use. You can't truly change the future in the past because: say you go into the past and kill your great great grandfather, you then wouldn't be born, and thus you souldn't go back in time to kill your great great grandfather. You have sex with your grandma, case closed. On Twitter in early January 2013, Tim Stuby used the hashtag "#timetravelerose" regarding an averted Apple Family Reunion animation error of Apple Rose incidentally appearing young during Raise This Barn. Outside of the timestream, they would be trapped in eternal nothingness. However, the other Autobots arrived and destroyed the machine before it could finish its work. The Aerialbots had been sent only nine million years into the past, during the Golden Age of Cybertron before the Great War had broken out. In the past, the Aerialbots met a young Transformer named Orion Pax, who was working at an energy shipment facility. As they got to know each other, Orion soon told them about his admiration of a "new kind" of Transformer that had the ability to fly in robot mode. He was understandably awestruck when the leader of those robots, Megatron, arrived at his workplace under the guise of friendship. After Orion gave him a brief tour, Megatron ordered his disguised troops to attack the facility and take the energon. During the assault, Orion, his girlfriend Ariel, and his friend Dion were severely injured. The Aerialbots arrived at the scene just as Megatron was leaving. They took Orion to the young Alpha Trion, who was devising ways to fight the Decepticons. He rebuilt Orion into the first of a new breed that would be capable of standing against Megatron. He also gave him a new name: Optimus Prime. Alpha then rebuilt Ariel into Elita One, but it is unknown whether Dion was given similar treatment. Prime inflicted severe damage on the Decepticon forces, but Megatron was still powerful. His raiders were starting to loot a fuel transfer center that would supply him with enough energon to win the war just as it was beginning. The Aerialbots realized this, and they set up explosives to destroy the energon. However, while they were inside, the Decepticons surrounded the facility, preventing their escape. Now fully aware of Megatron's evil, they set off the charges despite the danger to themselves. Just as the energon detonated, they found themselves being transported back to the present. When they arrived, they saw that the Autobots had repaired the Kronosphere but were fighting the Decepticons and a reanimated Guardian robot. The Aerialbots combined into Superion and destroyed the Guardian, and Megatron retreated. As the Decepticons flew away, Slingshot swore: "You'll never get away from us, Megatron! We won't stop fighting till you're finished!" Events are listed in order of their first reference in the show. Time travel is the act of moving from one part of the timelime to another in any manner other than the slow progress of moving from your date of birth to date of death. Time Travel is the fifth episode of series two of the original series of Bernard's Watch Television program. This episode was first broadcast on 23 October 1998. The science of time travel is referred to as temporal mechanics. Rip Hunter, inventor of the Time Sphere, and a time traveler in his own right, is an expert in the field of temporal mechanics. Time Travel is the means of travelling to different time periods, playing a major role in TimeSplitters series. Time travel is the concept of moving between different points in time in a manner analogous to moving between different points in space, generally using a theoretical invention, namely a time machine. It has a commonly recognized place in philosophy and fiction, but has a very limited application in real world physics, such as in quantum mechanics or wormholes. The new timeline is considered as "Main," while timelines with lack of intervention are considered as "Alternate." (SG1: "1969", "Unending", SGA: "Before I Sleep") Time travel is the concept of moving between different moments in time in a manner analogous to moving between different points in space, either sending objects (or in some cases just information) backwards in time to a moment before the present, or sending objects forward from the present to the future without the need to experience the intervening period (at least not at the normal rate). In her senior thesis, Einstein's Twin Paradox: A New Interpretation, Dana Scully theorized that, although time travel was a possibility, the extreme temperatures required for such a journey would be beyond human endurance. Some years after 1997, tachyons were discovered, and thus time travel became possible. The research of Lisa Ianelli, Jason Nichols and Yonechi into cryobiology would provide a method of instantly preserving a human, thus making time travel safe for humans. Distraught at the world that accessible Time Travel creates, Nichols would travel to 1997 in order to attempt to sabotage his past self’s work. While he succeeds in murdering Yonechi and his past self, it is unclear if Inelli continues the work. (TXF: "Synchrony") Fox Mulder believed that he travelled to 1939 whilst investigating the disappearance of the S.S. Queen Anne in the Bermuda Triangle.(TXF: "Triangle") The fact that some of the individuals met by Mulder in the "past" shared physical and character traits with individuals linked to him in the present suggests that the phenomena was hallucinatory or parapsychological. By making use of time displacement equipment agents are deployed on missions designed to either ensure, alter, or eradicate the status quo as perceived by the participants at the time. However, the equipment is limited to organic objects, such as humans. Clothes and weapons don't count. Time Travel is the process of travelling through time which features in many Power Rangers and Super Sentai seasons. 11-Comet-Time-Machine.jpg Why-time-travel-is-impossible 66207 600x450.jpg Time travel is the process of leaving the timestream at a given point, traversing through the timeless realm of Limbo for a timeless interval, and re-entering timestream at another point, not having physically aged in transit. Since there are alternate futures, it is not always possible to travel to the same one. Since traveling into the past always affects reality in at least a minute way, one can never physically travel to one's true past, which is by definition the past in its original state, uncomplicated by extra temporal factors. Limbo is a dimension that is unique in that it exists outside the timestream and thus possesses no time. Reality in Limbo is comprised of a single, ever-changing moment in which everything that ever was, is, and could be coexist. Human beings within Limbo might imagine that time passes there, since they are conditioned to think in such a way, but they cannot age or die there. There are three possible methods of time travel in the Marvel Universe: a. Time travel machines. b. Magic. c. Personally generated energy. All methods involve generating "chronal displacement inertia" freeing one's chronological position in the timestream (just as escape velocity frees one from Earth's gravitation), skimming through the extra-temporal realm outside the timestream (Limbo), and re-entering the timestream at another chronological position. Because no time exists outside the timestream, the perceived duration of the passage through limbo may be anything from non-existent to an eternity. The Marvel Universe is part of a multiverse (a system of related universes) which diverge from one another at critical junctures. The act of time travel always produces a critical juncture diverging a new alternate timeline or world at the moment one enters the reality of another time period, past or future of the time period set out from. It creates one timeline where an extratemporal person or element materialized via time travel, and one "virgin" timeline where that person or element did not. Because it is impossible to travel to the "virgin" timeline, and because divergent timelines are dimensionally displaced from one's root timeline, all time travel actually involves dimensional travel. A time traveler does not truly travel straight backwards or forwards in time, but backwards or forwards and a bit off to the side to a divergent timeline now running parallel to one's timeline of origin. Since this timeline will have been identical to the "virgin" timeline until the moment of divergence, there will be virtually no differences between the two timelines until most time travelers have no reason to be aware that they are not on the "virgin" timeline. If one travels a second time to an era one has already been to, one will not materialize on the "virgin" timeline nor the timeline diverged by one's previous trip, but a third timeline diverged from one or the other. A time traveler can never travel back to the exact same timeline more than once. Again, since the second and third divergent timelines are identical until the time traveler's arrival, they will be indistinguishable at first. When one travels a second time to any era in which one already exists, it will be possible to meet a temporal counterpart of one's self already there. A new counterpart diverges into being every single time a time traveler travels to a timeline one already exists in. Subsequently, multiple temporal counterparts could co-exist through multiple time trips to the same time period. The co-existence of multiple counterparts of the same being on one timeline does not cause time paradoxes. Time paradoxes are only possible in single timeline universes. Altering an incident in the past will indeed affect the future reality of the timeline diverged by the time traveler's presence. One can create any number of different divergences by one's significant actions, the act of time travel being but the first. Whether one will be able to return to the present of the timeline where one did no reality-tampering divergences or one which diverged as a consequence of one's past actions is a function of the means of time travel. Returning to one's present also creates a divergent reality. If one has been gone any length of time, one may find differences have accumulated in accordance with the length of time one was away. Selective alterations in the present as a consequence of the time traveler's actions in the past do not occur. An alteration in the past will create an entirely new timeline with events proceeding smoothly from the point of divergence. To the denizens of that timeline's "present", the past is a continuous series of events that always happened as they happened. Were one to see selective dematerializations, they would either be caused by something other than the act of time travel unto itself or would be hallucinations. To explain this, you can do a time travel thread to Hogwarts where you RP your character as a student meeting their future mate.Example 2: You have a Copper Era character who is afraid of flying, and therefore, is petrified of the Flying classes at Hogwarts. Where did this fear come from? You can do a time travel thread to when your character was seven years old, and they fell off of a broom during a flying session because your Uncle Larry was not paying enough attention, thereby scarring your character for life. Now, it is up to you whether or not you want your character to be aware of these time shifts. If you would like your character to be unaware, simply RP yours scenes as you would like. If you want your character to be aware, your character is, in a way, acknowledging the impact of OMA’s Main Plot: that time has now been affected and something is definitely wrong. To make your character aware of what is going on, you could do the following:Using Example 1: This scene would be seen as a “flashback being relived.” Your character is aware that this has happened before, sort of like déjà vous.Donna looked across the room and noticed Steven staring at her. Blushing uncontrollably, she quickly averted her eyes to her textbook, intent never to look back up again. Donna wasn’t sure if it was the embarrassment of seeing Steven watching her or not, but suddenly she felt very odd. The scene was familiar to her. Too familiar. Brushing it off as déjà vous, Donna focused on keeping her eyes on her text for the remainder of the class.Using Example 2: Also a “flashback being relived,” here is an example of a character realizing the time shift.Winston looked around his surroundings, suddenly filled with a sense of dread. Looking down, he realized he didn’t look the same as he had seconds earlier. Scratching his head, he tried to remember what he’d been doing. He’d been in Flying class, scared to death of course. So why was he here? Why was he home?“Winston! There you are,” his uncle’s voice boomed from behind him.Winston spun around. What the hell? It couldn’t be his uncle. His uncle died right before he left for Hogwarts. Seeing the broom in his uncle’s hand, Winston’s eyes widened. This was wrong, all wrong. A sense of dread took over his entire body, and his hands began to shake uncontrollably.Shaking his head, he stared at his uncle. “No, Uncle Lucas. I don’t want to learn how to fly today,” he said with a trembling voice. He knew what would happen. He was going to fall and hurt himself, and spend a week in St. Mungo’s. This was not a memory Winston wanted to relive.Winston in a “present” thread:“Winston! Pay attention!”Snapping his head up, Winston looked around to see his classmates staring at him. Confused and dazed, he turned to his professor. “I’m sorry, sir,” he mumbled out. Had he fallen asleep? He must have. That’s the only way he could explain why he'd literally been someplace else moments earlier. Even as he tried to convince himself, Winston knew that dream was much to vivid too have been just a dream. Time travel is any movement through time that is not equivalent to the normal course of time, in particular a person or object's travel leading either to the "past" or faster than usual to the "future". Any given time traveller moving from one time to another at a rate greater than the local entropic norm (i.e. moving forward in time faster than the normal "subjective second"-to-"objective second" ratio), or in an reverse entropic vector (i.e. backwards in time), has to move outside of normal space-time. This movement was mathematically calculated by a scientist named Feynman to be a predictable curve. Thus, people displaced in time can use the data points of the "start" and "end" points of their journey to calculate their return trajectory along their circumstance-specific Feynman Curve to return to their own time. It can also be used to calculate a path to initiate a controlled time displacement. The return journey along that Feynman Curve is entirely dependent on the actions (or more accurately, the non-actions) of the displaced personnel. If their interaction is kept to a minimum and the integrity of the timestream is maintained, their Feynman Curve also retains its integrity and the displaced personnel can return to their own time in the same manner they were initially displaced, be that a trajectory around a star or using the Bajoran Orb of Time. (TOS episodes: "Tomorrow is Yesterday", "Assignment: Earth"; TOS movie: Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home; DS9 episode: "Trials and Tribble-ations") However, if the actions (or non-actions) of the displaced personnel cause a major disruption in the timestream, a new future is created from that point and the Feynman Curve of the displaced personnel collapses. This is because the Curve's end point--the traveller's start point--no longer exists, except in a now parallel reality completely disconnected from the timestream the traveller currently inhabits. An analogy of this is the severing of one end of a rope bridge: The other side of the chasm is still there, but the traveller's connection to it is now lost, and they have to consider another means to get there--such as interdimensional travel. The difference between what the Einsteinian-era physicists thought and what is known in the 24th century, from actual experimental demonstrations, is that no paradox results from time travel. (DS9 novel: The War of the Prophets) A person cannot go back in time and create a "new" timeline. That's because there is no "new", no "before", or "after." Past and future are merely points on a curve. Change is merely the shape of that curve. All processes, all interactions, are in fact instantaneous. Relative time is an illusory concept. In physics, there is no preferred direction of time or causality. There is only the progression of cause and effect within the wave equation. As long as an interaction is logically consistent, the directionality of time is irrelevant. Because all timelines exist side by side, a person can't simply go back and unmake a history once it's happened. A retrocausality generated history would coexist with the the original 'seed' timeline. It's a logical absurdity for a timeline to be erased. Anything that's happened has happened. A person can't change the shape of time as a whole because change is just part of the shape itself. So the only way one timeline could replace another is if they coexisted side by side from the moment of their divergence but then merged together again once they both reached a later point in the timeline. Timelines diverge when they shift sufficiently out of phase to become non-interacting, but it's not impossible for them to interfere again at a later point in time. And if they did become entangled as a single system, then quantum information theory would demand that only one of the two conflicting sets of information would survive because a given quantum history has to be self-consistent. It would be as if one timeline suddenly transformed into another. The previous events would still have occurred, but they would no longer be remembered. The information would have been destroyed. The catch is, for two timelines that have drifted apart to come back into phase would violate entropy. There'd need to be some kind of force acting to merge them back together. (DTI novel: Watching the Clock) The conditions and equations defining time travel are very selective and highly complex. Time Travel [05:00] is an Ugress track from the digital release The B Vault. In Mega Man II, Dr. Time Travel is the process of traveling through different points in time. This concept is featured in many Kamen Rider series. (Futurama franchise: "Futurama") The following topics are part of the book: * The thoughts of Dr. Spector and the story * The companions * The missing famous persons of the past The book is written from Dr. Spector's perspective and holds many of his thoughts and useful information for the Avatar's journey. (ENT: "Awakening") The United Federation of Planets had some form of time travel ability since at least 2268. It is possible that at least some of the regulations regarding time travel trace their origins back to this date. However, capability at this point was most likely inaccurate, making any attempt at time travel experimental and dangerous. In addition to the Federation, the Borg Collective, Bajorans, and Klingon Empire were known to have some form of time travel capabilities. (Star Trek: First Contact; DS9: "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night"; VOY: "Endgame") Time Travel is a temporal displacement that occurs when a person leaves their native time period and travels into the future or the past for any length and duration of time. According to Rommie, there are multiple theories regarding time travel, with one theory stating that timeline is fixed, meaning that no matter what a person does, history can never be changed. Another theory states that time is constantly in flux meaning changing the past in even the slightest way can have infinite consequences for the future. Technically, anyone who ever uses a form of FTL travel such as Slipstream is traveling in a time machine. A Fourth Dimensional Being who has the ability to time travel appeared in this episode and threatened to put Rick in Time Prison for abusing time but Rick beat him up and sent him back into time travel mode, sending him back into a different time period. In the post-ending credits of the scene, he and another Fourth Dimensional Being were seen inside of a giant bubble which would teleport to a bunch of different time eras as fast as a click. They went looking for Rick and attempted to beat him up, but came across Albert Einstein, thinking it was him by mistake, and beat him up instead. This is the only time any actual time travel was featured in the show. __TOC__ Because of the risks inherent to altering the outcome of historical events, via figures from one era interacting with another (usually the past), time travel was closely monitored, regulated and discouraged. In the Federation, the Department of Temporal Investigations was charged with this task. Despite the risks, time travel was a fairly common occurrence. Individuals and starships, in the Federation and elsewhere, made many trips through time. Crew-members on Starfleet vessels, most notably the starships Enterprise, interacted repeatedly with figures and events in other temporal eras, resulting in the creation of alternate timelines. Time travel was also possible between parallel universes. (ENT: "In A Mirror, Darkly") Rakata designed the Teenage Device with one specific purpose: bringing their users face-to-face with their sixteen-year-old selves. (Star Trek: False Vacuum: "Dear Sixteen-Year-Old Me") Time Travel is a really important part in the Dronian Universe. (VG: SCD) A mysterious entity known as the Time Eater possessed domineon over space and time. Eggman once took control of the creature so that he, along with his past self, could alter history to change all of his previous defeats by Sonic into victories. Their plan was thearted by Sonic, who had also teamed up with his past self. (VG: SG) The most noteable individual to utilize time travel is Silver the Hedgehog, who has travelled to the past on multiple occassions in an effort to change his constantly-ruined future timeline. (SU: #75) Silver's various methods of time travel are largely unknown, though in recent times, he has used the Genesis Portals, holes in space and time brought about by the failed reversal of the Super Genesis Wave. Other individuals have used these portals, most noteably the evil Reploid Sigma, whom hailed from Mega Man's world in the distant future. (SU: #76, #76) Those who travel into the past are capable of altering their respective present day timeline by initiating any event that would have a large enough impact on future events. In most of these instances, the time traveller who initiated these changes are shown to have retained their memories of how their timeline used to be. Silver, during his travels, has caused this to happen to his timeline many times. Xander Payne also accomplished this feat, by using a Genesis Portal to completely abort an alternate timeline inwhich Sigma fused Sonic's and Mega Man's worlds. (VG: SRiv2, MM: #52) While not strictly the same as travelling through different points in time, one of the known capabilities of the reality-warping Genesis Wave is making a reality excell forward through its timeline. When Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily launched the second wave on their respective worlds, the timeline of Wily's home dimension of Earth 20XX had skipped forward by an unknown amount of time. MM: #24) It is possible that said characters' post-Flashpoint selves must have ceased to exist and been replaced by their pre-Flashpoint selves when the event of their return to Earth Two's timeline as if it occurred in the post-Flashpoint reality. The existence of multiple timelines coexisting together, across the multiverse, is yet another example of temporal mutability. In the case of speedsters, it's possible to break the time and dimensional barriers altogether, shown when Barry Allen traveled to an alternate Earth and stayed there for almost a day, but when he returned back to his, only a few seconds had passed by. Alternatively, it's possible that time flows differently in different universes (and by extension, Earths) as a whole - and the differences may depend on how many dimensions away the Earths are, as with Earths One and Two, time flows roughly, if not exactly, the same, despite multiple other differences, like the changes in vibrations. It's also possible that when Barry accidentally traveled to Earth Thirty-Eight and then returned to Earth One, (seemingly seconds later) that he may have travelled through space and time simultaneously, and therefore it would appear that he was only away from Earth One for a brief moment. The Tri-System confederation had developed Nuke'em a powerful weapon that can take out most ships in one shot, it contains short-range time travel devices. It is a small synchronic temporal warp generator which at the point of detonation throws the bomber marginally forward in time after the blast, giving him an escape from the carnage. However, it does not extend this benefit to any cargo ships or wingmen you may have in tow. The Campaign for Real Time considered this weapon to be a breach of most time laws and lobbied against its legality, until one day, quite by accident, DEDFLASH is a space/time cruiser can predict the future of a flight. Products at Crazy Eric's Ordnance Emporiums are all available on a buy now, and pay in another time continuum finance plan. It seems though at some point even the Terran Confederation obtained access to time travel technology, as the CDATANET was a Confederation Armed Forces data network kept and maintained in 20th century earth. It was created and maintained by Incan Monkey God Studios from Austin, Texas, Terra. It is not clear why the Terran Confederation kept data records in the past, how they gained access to time travel technology, nor when they started sending data back into the past. Chris McCubbin was the Chief Archivist, and Peter Telep was a historian for CDATANET. McCubbin was active between 1998.271 and March 1999, releasing some of the data as the Wing Commander Confederation Handbook. Pilgrims apparently were capable of time travel. Time and distance meant nothing in the continuum. Their thoughts existed on the first waves of the universe and existed at the dawn and end of everthing. With this ability Christopher Blair's mother was able to send him a vision of the future, of a time beyond the Nephilim War, beyond his alleged 'death' during the war (around the time of his return to Earth, and the future pilgrim invasion of Earth). Time travel was, as the name suggested, the process of travelling through time, in any direction. In the 26th century individuals who time travelled were sometimes known as persons of meta-temporal displacement. (PROSE: The Mary-Sue Extrusion) The Eleventh Doctor compared time travel to "a tear in the fabric of reality." (TV: The Name of the Doctor) Chuck Norris can turn back time by looking at a clock and flexing. He used this method to stop the JFK assassination by deflecting the bullet with his beard. However, JFK's head exploded in awe. As a result of inhaling Quantum Vapor, Nina Crocker also had time traveling abilities, albeit a crude form. Gear created a small box that could help her channel it. This ability made her one of the most powerful Bang Babies, but she traveled back in time to make sure she never acquired them. The time-stream was generally left unpoliced, though the Guardians of the Universe imposed a law that no-one could travel to the beginning of time. Time travel is the action of an individual or object traveling through time, forward into the future or backward into the past. The means by which this can occur are numerous, but typically through the use of magic or a scientific device that somehow opens a passageway through time. There is the well-known paradox of traveling into the past to kill your mother before you were born. Actually, it works for anyone known by anyone else. The contradiction is that if you were never born, how did you go back in time to kill your mother? It seems that time only moves in one direction, not counting the subatomic particles that seem to defy that. If we imagine space-time as a closed four-dimensional space, NOT embedded into a five-dimensional space, then, space-time would end at some moment - not necessarily a zero-dimensional moment - and one could "wrap-around" through the end of time to the beginning of time and change things without contradiction. Time travel allows an individual or group of individuals to move to either either forward or backward in time, in such a way as to be able to interact with the surroundings and occupants of that time. Depending upon the nature of the universe occupied by the time traveller(s), it may be possible to alter the past in a way that the travellers’ personal timelines are rewritten. (Which might make a paradox.) Other continuities include divergent timelines in which any change creates a new reality. Time travel can be facilitated by a number of devices, such as time-jump mechanisms and transwarp drives. The ability to move through time. Sub-power of Time Manipulation. Not to be confused with Event Experiencing. Time travel is the act of changing what time period you are in, making it able to change what happens in the future. One example of timetravel is D.W.'s imagination in D.W.'s Time Trouble where she makes it so she is born before Arthur. Time travel is any movement through time that is not equivalent to the normal course of time, in particular a person or object moving from one time to another at a rate greater than the local entropic norm (i.e. moving forward in time faster than the normal "subjective second"-to-"objective second" ratio) leading to the "future," or in an reverse entropic vector (i.e. backwards in time) leading to the "past." Time travel is the concept of moving objects forward or backward in time. The method by which characters are usually shown to have moved through time in fiction, is by way of a special device that carries an individual to the distant past or future; for example, the DeLorean in Back to the Future or the TARDIS in Doctor Who. In Somewhere in Time, A Christmas Carol, and The Time Traveler's Wife, the displacement of time is by supernatural means. In other stories, a character's perception of the past or future is seen as a means to communicate with those moments in time in order to bring light to the present. As time is generally seen as the fourth dimension, a related concept is that of moving to a parallel universe by means of a portal, wormhole or supernatural means. The end result being that the individual has traveled to a location or dream state unreachable from our own universe by physical means. Examples include The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, and South Park's Imaginationland. It is sometimes considered a type of cheating and is controversial among the community. All players who time travel take the risk of their town becoming populated with weeds, downgrading Tom Nook's Store, the likely possibility of villagers moving out, bedheads, interrupting the growth of trees, and, depending on how far they have traveled, rafflesia growing. Because the games only track real-world time up to the end of a certain year, said year would rollover after December 31. As a result, time travel would also be necessary to reach a year within the clock's range that is identical to the post-limit year, in order to maintain synchronization with the real world. Simply put, time travel is impossible. You'd have a better chance of just catching on fire randomly and unexpectedly for no reason than to be able to travel through time. Don't watch Back to the Future. It's all simply lies! Contrary to popular belief, yes, there is a way to time travel. Anyways, if you've done this correctly, run outside and get next to your nearest street. I'm not 100% sure about this step, but it seems to work better if it's near a larger, busy city. By this time your mixture should have foamed and hardened (sort of like burning sugar) and melded with the container. Stand there and close your eyes. I'd recommend doing this at night. Images of your perceived future will begin to form in your head. They can range from utopian to absolute morbidity. Whatever you do, don't open your eyes yet. After no more than an hour (no less, just to be safe), you can open your eyes, and a very nice, expensive-looking limo will stop as the driver offers to pick you up. From here, you have two choices. Firstly, you can refuse the offer with no consequence and go back home, and your mixture will no longer be on your person. However, if you're truly feeling adventurous, accept the offer, and go to the back of the limo. You might be able to sit in the front, but if the driver tells you to go to the back, I'd recommend listening to him, as I hear those who don't are irreversibly blinded. Once you make your way to the back, there will be more rich, high-class looking people casually chatting. Feel free to join in, but they might act as though you're not there. Whatever you do, don't ask anyone where you're being taken, or you'll immediately be thrown out the side of the vehicle, into a city no one has ever heard of, with no population whatsoever. You might just want to lay down, lest you look suspicious by peering out the windows. Besides, I hear it's really comfortable in there. So just lay down and enjoy the ride. One more thing, some of the other passengers will have sort of foam-puppet looking faces. Try to remain calm when you see this. These are actually a very deadly race not of this world, rumored in fact to be demonic. Under no circumstances should you acknowledge this, or they will permanently and painfully paralyze you, then proceed to tear you apart with deformed, sickle-like appendages over the course of a full day. Assuming you're still okay, you'll notice that a good ways into the ride, the road that the limo is traveling on is twisting and winding in all directions, much like a maze. You might want to take note of this, but don't worry, they are not tricking you. You also might notice the people talking and laughing about you. Again, stay calm, they just think it's a silly idea what you're doing. Once the winding path comes to an end, you should be at your destination. The driver will tell you when, and everyone will bid you farewell and say they enjoyed your company. Make your exit as the limo drives off, never to be seen again. The sight you'll see when you get out is truly something to behold. A massive, wide, grand plaza, sort of looking like a giant cul-de-sac. A few statues of military and world leaders near the end, some of which are instantly recognizable, and some you will have never heard of. Washington. Grant. Even Hitler himself. These are accompanied by large plaques showing medals or awards they've won, a few pictures, and a quote from each of them. The whole place looks as though it's from the past and the future at the same time. The floor in between the street is of very nice, new looking square tiles, and there are many buildings surrounding you, stores and such. You will, however, be alone. No one will be walking around or in any of the buildings whatsoever. A curious thing is that there will be shattered glass everywhere. Mostly on the outer rim of the general area. In fact, it kind of looks like the whole place was previously covered in a layer of glass, if you can picture that. Don't worry too much about this, just start walking towards the end. As you do this, if you'll look down, you'd notice small circular patterns in the middle of some of the tiles, about the size of a coin. They will be black with a gilded outline, and each have a small word also in gold. It's usually a four or five-letter word, and they are said to have some meaning, but no relation to each other. Words include "HOPE," "WHY?," "POWER," "EXCEL," "NONE," "NULL," and some others, but those are the most common. Take what you will about them, and keep walking. You'll keep walking, and notice more and more words. Hope. Lead. Power. Hope. Null. Hope. Hope. Cunt. Haha, real funny. Hope. and on and on until you reach the end. RIP. When you see this, you'll notice the larger tiles, near the statues, have some footprints in them as well as birth and death dates. This will be different for everyone, but it's usually a combination of military/world leaders, people you knew personally, and celebrities. All of these dates will be very if not deadly accurate. You then begin to realize that this place is more or less an amalgamation of the past and future. You also realize that with not another soul in sight, there is almost no way back. Just remember that I told you to only attempt this if you truly yearn to travel through time. Don't worry, I did not trick you either. From here, you once again have two final choices. You can go back if you manage to find your way through the twisting, maze like road that you were driven here on, but you will have to make most of your way back on foot until you reach somewhere you can hitchhike. You may have been smart enough to bring your phone with you (you will not be searched at any point), but as you are in such a remote location, it will not work. Dialing any number will result in indecipherable whispers followed by a grating screech. You can then make it safely home, but there is a possibility that the limo passengers will somehow catch wind of this, and if they do, they will dedicate every day to hunting you down for the entirety of your waking and sleeping life. Alternatively, you can get what you went to all that trouble for. Stand at the end of the plaza near the statue/death dates area, and reach for your glass with the mixture. Shut your eyes as tight as you can, and throw down the glass as hard as your strength will allow. Imagine a point in time and the image will again form in your head. After mere seconds, you will feel a tingle as the world around you begins to warp and alter. You will then be in your desired point in time. There is no telling how this will be, but they say it's almost never what you thought it was. But the Time Travels can also be negative. For example, if the marble catches a Time Travel set to -4 seconds, it adds 4 seconds to the time.
