  • Chris Claremont (born 1950) is a comic book writer, most famous for his work as the writer of X-Men from 1975-1991, and a few shorter runs later. During his first tenure, Uncanny X-Men developed from one of the least popular Marvel comics to one of its flagship titles, and spawned many spin-offs (such as New Mutants, X-Factor and Excalibur). You can spot a comic he's written instantly from the dialogue, known by some fans as "Claremontese."
  • Chris Claremont was a major writer for the Uncanny X-Men comics. X2: X-Men United, X-Men: The Last Stand, The Wolverine and X-Men: Days of Future Past are based on storylines written by him. He made a cameo as the Lawnmower Man when Jean was confronted by Erik Lehnsherr and Charles Xavier in X-Men: The Last Stand and as Congressman Parker in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

  • Chris Claremont (born November 30, 1950 in London, England) is a comic book writer, who worked on a few issues in Marvel's Star Wars series, including the multipart World of Fire for Marvel UK (reprinted in Star Wars Omnibus: Wild Space Volume 1), Star Wars Annual 1: The Long Hunt, and others. His contributions include co-creating the characters Kharys and Aron Peacebringer.

  • He started in the industry in 1974, writing Iron Fist, a title that teamed him with John Byrne. By 1975, Len Wein had given him writing duties on the Uncanny X-Men, a title that would change his life. During his sixteen year run on the title, he was responsible for a number of classic stories and the creation of a number of important characters, including Sabretooth, Mystique, Mister Sinister, and Rogue. In that period, he also worked with Frank Miller on the first Wolverine mini-series.
  • Claremont is known primarily as the writer of the sprawling, ambitious 12-issue maxiseries Aliens/Predator: The Deadliest of the Species, the second Aliens vs. Predator series to be produced. The project came after break Claremont had taken from the comics industry and marked his return to the field, though not at his usual home with Marvel Comics.
