  • Titan (or Sol VIa) was a moon located in the space of the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant, the largest moon in orbit of the planet Saturn, sixth planet in the Sol star system in sector 001, at coordinates 2.09S 5.26W. It is the second largest satellite in the Sol system, the only such body to have a dense atmosphere, and is larger than some planetary bodies in the solar system. The atmosphere was considered "thick" due to its mainly being nitrogen. Titan has liquid methane lakes and a surface temperature of -259 degrees Fahrenheit. The Federation starships USS Titan were named for this moon. (TOS - Starfleet Academy novel: The Gemini Agent; TTN novel: Taking Wing; Last Unicorn RPG module: A Cadet's Guide to Sector 001 Earth)
  • In 3010, the Time Institute was relocated to Titan. With their new Time Viewer, they attempted to look back in time to the beginning of the universe. After seeing the Giant Hand, Titan was ravaged and then destroyed by the resulting energies. (Legion of Super-Heroes: "The Choice")
  • Titan is the sixth ellipsoidal moon from Saturn. Frequently described as a planet-like moon, Titan has a diameter roughly 50% larger than Earth's moon and is 80% more massive. It is the second-largest moon in the Solar System, after Jupiter's moon Ganymede, and it is larger by volume than the smallest planet, Mercury, although only half as massive. Titan was the first known moon of Saturn, discovered in 1655 by the Dutch astronomer Christiaan Huygens, and was the fifth moon of a planet apart from the Earth to be discovered.
  • This article concerns the Grey Knights' homeworld; for the Adeptus Mechanicus' massive combat walkers see Titan. Titan is the largest moon of the gas giant Saturn in the Sol System and is wholly controlled by the Grey Knights Chapter of psychically-active Space Marines who serve as the Chamber Militant of the Inquisition's Ordo Malleus. The fortress-monastery of the Grey Knights is based on Titan, and is carved entirely of basalt. Within the fortress hang pennants, banners and flags commemorating the victories and sacrifices made by the Chapter in their eternal war against the daemons of Chaos, but none other than the Grey Knights would recognise the names of these campaigns. This is because the Chapter operates in oppressive secrecy, beyond the knowledge of the Adeptus Terra and even ofte
