| - Jacqueline Joan Kim was the actress who portrayed Lao Ma. She was born March 31, 1965 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, with her two older sisters and Korean parents. She moved to Los Angeles in 1993 when she auditioned for White Mile,
