  • Prisoners are in Demon's Souls, primarily residing within the Tower of Latria. Most are generally docile, although their tendency to swarm around the player and hamper mobility is problematic. They will also occasionally punch the player for minor physical damage. A few, however, are armed and will attack the player on sight; knife-wielding prisoners attack with a charging stab that can inflict poison, but the two spear-wielders are merely hard to reach, being located behind iron bars. All varieties uncommonly drop shards of Mercurystone or Moonstone, or Royal or Widow's Lotus upon death.
  • A prisoner, also known as an inmate, was anyone who was deprived of liberty against their will. This could be by confinement, captivity, or by forcible restraint. The term applied particularly to those on trial or serving a prison sentence.

  • PRISONER (known in the UK and the USA as Prisoner: Cell Block H and in Canada as Caged Women) was an Australian Soap Opera that ran from 1979-1986 on the Ten Network. Created by Reg Grundy, the show focused on the lives of the inmates and staff of Wentworth Detention Centre, a maximum security women's prison located outside of Melbourne, Australia. Many guards came and went through the doors of Wentworth, both male and female, but none of the guards were ever more hated and utterly despised by BOTH inmates and staff than the infamous Joan Ferguson (Maggie Kirkpatrick).
  • The Prisoner was the running name for the player character in Van Buren, Black Isle's canceled Fallout 3. Unlike the Chosen One, this player's character was not to be a descendant of the Vault Dweller, or any of the Vault 13 residents. Despite that fact, the Prisoner wears a jumpsuit with similar colors to vault jumpsuits with a number 13 on the back. This is because the Prisoner was assigned to cell 13 in Tibbets Facility. This is most likely a reference to Vault 13 from Fallout.

  • Despite my spiteful mood, I was thoroughly impressed - albeit a little daunted - at the castle of Aphyix. Huge stone walls soared to the clouds above my head. Crystalline steps led up to two grand ivory doors, in which two guards sat, staring intently down. I noticed Keyes barely glanced at them. The guards nodded at him respectfully, and Keyes did the same. "Captain Keyes." Captain? I almost froze and stared at Keyes, a newfound respect lighting my eyes. I had thought he was like every other cat in Aphyix, but it seemed he had a lot more authority than I'd thought. "Where are you from?" "From?"

Almost as soon as this is done, the two prisoners watch Kommandant Klink arrive with a few of his guards, soon walking past them as he asks Hogan about the whereabouts of the two prisoners who has just tried to escape. Hogan tells them that are close, before he sees Klink turn around and notice both him and the other wet prisoner. They then hear Klink chastise them for making an escape attempt that they had never made, before telling them that they are going to be given thirty days in the cooler for 'their failed attempt', which is watched by some of the other prisoners. As they hear Hogan start to protest their punishment, he and the other prisoner are taken out of the building.

  • Description de la carte Prisoner.
  • Prisoner is an Australian soap opera that is set in the Wentworth Detention Centre, a fictional women's prison. In The United States and United Kingdom it was billed as Prisoner: Cell Block H, and in Canada as Caged Women. The series was produced by the Reg Grundy Organisation in Australia, and aired on Network Ten, running 692 episodes from 27 February 1979 to 11 December 1986, after originally only devised as a 16 part mini-series. The series was inspired by British television drama Within These Walls, which had achieved moderate success in Australia. Prisoner producers even approached Googie Withers of Within These Walls to play the role of Prisoner's governor, an offer that she declined. The part later going to Patsy King. Because of an injunction brought by UK-based ATV, which considered the title too similar to their own series, The Prisoner, it was originally not possible for overseas broadcasters to screen the show under the Prisoner title, which necessitated a name change. In March 2012, it was announced that the series would be "reimagined" in a new version entitled Wentworth.

  • McCoy followed Kirk out of his quarters heading towards the holding cells on the lower decks. As they got to the turbo lift McCoy turned to Kirk, “What’s this about Jim?” Kirk rubbed his forehead “Gary came to the bridge earlier, he had green ‘stains’ on his uniform…and in the transporter room Gary said he would deal with the ‘half-breed’. I think Spock’s here and if he is and he’s a prisoner he might be inclined to help us.” McCoy scoffed “Or he could be as bad as the rest of them” Kirk put a hand on his arm “or he could be similar to ours, our Spock would know how to fix this” The turbo lift doors opened and they headed to the brig. They walked past a few cells resolutely not looking at the occupants, a guard meating them at the end of the corridor, “Sir?” Kirk swallowed down disgust as he spoke “I’m here to see the half-breed, I want to make sure Mr Mitchell didn’t do too much damage, I’ll need him later” The guard smirked realising Kirk wasn’t here for him “He was still awake a while ago” he gestured for them to follow him. They went through a door to the high security section, there was only one cell in here with two computers either side of the door, the guard moved to the standard looking control unit on the left and began shutting down the security field. Kirk and McCoy moved to look in the cell. Kirk felt his heart sink at the sight that met them, he knew McCoy would be swearing by now if the guard hadn’t been present. The small cell must have only been 6ft square, meaning Spock could not settle himself comfortably inside; there was no furniture just a very thin, grubby mattress by the far wall on which Spock was seated. Spock had his back against the wall with his knees brought up to his chest hiding his hands in his lap, his head was bowed forward, he had no shirt and they could see various bruises and scars on his shoulders. He seemed to be wearing standard issue black Starfleet trousers but they looked so old, faded and frayed that he must have had them a while. His feet were bare and his ankles were manacled together the chain didn’t look very long which meant he obviously couldn’t walk fast. The guard removed a long, thin cylindrical item from beside the desk and stepped into the room, Spock didn’t move, to Kirk it seemed like he was meditating, before Kirk could stop him the guard prodded Spock with the tip of the weapon and with a crack of electricity Spock eyes shot open and he let out a small cry. Kirk fought himself not to grab the weapon and use it on the guard in retaliation. The guard laughed cruelly as Spock shuffled to the corner away from the stun baton leaving a smear of green on the wall behind him, the guard stepped closer “Don’t you know you should stand in the Captains presence?” He moved to use the weapon again and Spock cowered slightly. “Enough” Kirk bellowed, the guard and Spock looked stunned at the tone, Kirk knew he needed to put on a good show to get rid of the guard “If I wanted your assistance in asking questions I would have asked for it, as such I wish to get answers for myself” he grabbed the baton from the guard pointing it threateningly at him, the guard raised his hands in surrender and swallowed “Get out of here” “But Sir…” “OUT!” the guard nearly tripped over himself in his haste to leave. As soon as he was gone McCoy started for Spock but Kirk held him back, at McCoy’ questioning glance he gestured to where Spock was still eyeing them as a caged and frightened animal would. Kirk raised the baton to bring Spock’s attention back to himself and Spock tensed a little, Kirk then threw the baton out of the cell and raised his hands to show he meant no harm. Spock’s brows furrowed a little and he used the wall to help himself to a standing position but stayed in the corner. His voice was low as if he hadn’t used it in a while “If this is a new game Captain I believe you will find me less than entertaining.” He moved slowly back to the mattress “Mr Mitchell saw to that.” Kirk caught a glimpse of Spock’s back and sucked in a breath, there were deep lash marks all over the pale flesh over the top of older half healed wounds and scars showing this was a regular occurrence. McCoy swore vehemently at the marks and stepped forward, the Vulcan flinching at the movement “Dammit Spock I don’t want to hurt you, I wanna help you” and before anyone could stop him McCoy had grabbed Spock’s arm to stop him moving. Spock tensed then stared at the hand his eyebrows raising, this was not the McCoy he had come to know, the feelings being impressed upon him were… for lack of a better word…kind. McCoy noticed Spock freeze but took it as a sign he was allowing treatment, he began scanning Spock with his tricorder his face darkening at the list of injuries it gave. Kirk smiled slightly “We need your help” Spock was still eyeing them warily but seemed willing to listen. “Please I think you’re the only person who can help get us home, I know it might be a lot to ask but you can trust us. If you want to check for yourself you can I don’t mind…” He gestured to the mental pressure points on his face. Spock shifted as Kirk had trailed off “I cannot” Kirk sighed “Look I know it’s normally a Vulcan taboo but this is an emergency” Spock’s voice interrupted him “No, you misunderstand, it is not that I do not wish to but that it is not possible. After a failed escape attempt Mr Mitchell…” he trailed off showing them his palms. They were heavily scarred as if the pads had been burnt off. McCoy gently took Spock’s hand “Jeeze Spock, he did a number on you, this musta hurt like hell” Spock seemed to have an almost amused glint in his eye as he spoke “It was not the most pleasant of experiences.” McCoy smiled sadly “You gotta gift for understatement, this must have gone straight into your nervous system” Spock stared at the Doctors hand he could feel kindness and emotional warmth through the touch, a feeling that he genuinely wanted to help Spock and was appalled this had been done to him. He felt Kirk take his other hand similar emotions coming through. Spock looked up to both of them “Who are you?” Kirk beamed at him “Lost. Do you think you can you help us get home?” Spock removed his hands from theirs then moved out of the cell to the computer on the right of the door, Kirk watched the usual graceful steps impeded by the manacles as Spock sat at the small uncomfortable looking stool, “Can we do anything about those?” he gestured to the chains. Spock looked at them, “The wrist ones have been welded in place you would need a cutting torch to free me.” Kirks mouth thinned “and the ankle ones” Spock re-directed his gaze, “The Captain keeps the key to those with him at all times, I believe you will find it attached to the sash at your waist.” Kirk patted around the sash and felt something small and hard at the small of his back, he found a small pocket from which he removed an old fashioned key. “This it?” Spock nodded and held out his hand to take the key but Kirk had already knelt down to undo them. Spock watched in shock as Kirk undid the cuffs and then hissed at the bruised flesh they revealed. He gently rubbed the abused skin then casually threw them across the room away from them. Spock swallowed and quietly spoke “Thank you” Kirk smiled up at him “One doesn’t thank logic Mr Spock” Spock nodded then motioned to the computer “I will need you to unlock the computer, it is locked down by your voice print, the code is Gamma Alpha Two.” Kirk nodded, “Computer unlock computer terminal by holding cell C, authorisation Kirk, Gamma, Alpha, Two.” The toneless voice responded “Authorisation accepted.” The computer screen came to life and Spock waited patiently for more information, Kirk removed his communicator “Kirk to Scott” “Scott here Sir” “Can you write all your findings to a computer chip and bring it to the brig, I’ve found an old friend to help us” “Aye sir be right there” Kirk closed the communicator, Spock had turned in his seat to stare at him “How many of you are here?” “Four of us, we were negotiating with the Halkan’s to mine Dilithium, there was an ion storm, I think it interfered with the transporter, when we beamed aboard we were here.” Spock nodded and began typing into the computer, as he did McCoy started running the portable dermal regenerator over his back, “Sorry Spock I can’t heal you completely without taking you to Sickbay but this’ll at least help a bit” The wounds began to close making it look as if they were a few days old, not perfect but at least they weren’t open or bleeding anymore. The doors opened allowing Uhura and Scott to enter, Scott nodded to the captain then his step faltered as he saw Spock “Ach, Mr Spock it’s good to see ye but you’re lookin’ a bit worse for wear I must say” Spock reached up for the data chip he held and Scott frowned at his manacled wrists. Spock inserted the chip into his computer and began looking through the files “It will take me a while to go through the data, I would continue your duty’s otherwise the crew will begin to suspect not all is right with you” Kirk nodded “Bones can you give him your communicator so he can contact us if he finds anything” Spock took the communicator and placed it under the mattress in the cell. “It is possible I will be locked in here while you are gone, I will work for as long as I can.” He then returned to the computer. “Thank you, Spock” Kirk motioned the others to leave. Uhura who had been silently watching didn’t leave straight away her eyes were glistening slightly as she looked at Spock, this was a man whom she respected and trusted to see him so downtrodden and defeated. She stepped forward placing her hand gently on his arm but he sharply flinched away as if burnt “its ok” she cooed “I won’t hurt you” she placed her hand on his forearm and gently squeezed it “Thank you” she smiled and left with the others. Spock looked at his arm, he could still feel the warmth where she had touched him. He had seen a brief image of himself, dressed in a Blue uniform sitting with a Vulcan ka'athyra and he was sure he was almost smiling. Spock shook his head to clear the image, he needed to get these people back where they belonged.

  • Prisoners can be found at the High Security Compound in Tomb Raider III. They assist Lara against the Military Police, by thumping them when released from their cells. If Lara uses her weapons against them, either by accident or on purpose, they will turn against her and start attacking.
  • Prisoner è una mappa Multigiocatore per Halo: Combat Evolved.
If the prisoner chooses to be male in the tech demo, his dialogue icon is an image of Eric Wu, creator of the popular website Eric Conveys an Emotion. Specifically, the image being used features Eric being smarmy.
  • The Prisoners are amongst the dwarves kidnapped for chaos dwarf conversion at the direction of Hreidmar, the director of The Red Axe. Upon finding the prison, the player and Commander Veldaban release the Prisoners, allowing them to return to Keldagrim. However, they cannot actually be found in the city after the quest.
  • Prisoners are captured Asmodians being held in Altgard Fortress Dungeon. Their crimes are unknown.
  • A Prisoner map is a map where the ninja must stay between two (or more) zap drones while navigating through something resembling an obstacle course. They usually consist of long, narrow passages with many mines, and a few other obstacles. The most well-known map of this kind is 80-1: Prisoner by rrrobyp.

"Guard Kerrn." Keyes glanced at the one speaking. "Take the intruder to the hearing room for now, and until further questioning we will keep her there." "The hearing room is currently at function, with all due respect, Captain," Kerrn mewed timidly. "A cat is on trial as of now." "Are they really?" Keyes mewed grumpily. "Fine, take her to the cell quarters - mind you, she isn't due for trial or in prison, make sure you tell the cell guards as much." "Yes, Captain." Kerrn nodded at me and left his post; I followed him into the castle. It was all I could do not to gasp at the interior. Huge walls flanked either side of me, with a high ceiling lost in the shadows. Little gaps cut into the wall in designs let in light, and the floor was massive and cold, going clickety-clack with every tap of my claws. "Is this your first time here?" Kerrn asked, almost kindly, startling me from my starings. His voice seemed to echo around the room. "What? Oh, yes," I answered. Better not say anything about Lazuli or the portal. "Where are you from?" "From?" He stared at me. "You know, from outside of Aphyix. Aphyix isn't the only place here, you know." "It isn't?" I gulped. I hadn't realized there could, instead of just a small community, be a whole other world down here. "Uh...no." Kerrn mewed. He turned a corner and quickly descended a flight of steps. I huffed to catch up to him. We approached a gated cell marked '1' and he opened it. Something was trickling in the corner, making dropping noises every second or so. I tried not to focus on it, it was bothering me so much, but for some reason it wouldn't go away. "You'll stay here." "Here?" I hissed, unable to hide my shock. And I had thought Keyes was a friend! "Yes," Kerrn mewed, almost sympathetically. "I'll come and pick you up later, when the questioning room is free." "How is our guest settling in?" I turned and saw Keyes climbing down the stony steps. "Keyes," I hissed, my claws sliding out, as Kerrn led me in and locked the gate. "Why did you do this to me?" "By the way," Keyes mewed smoothly. "There is no way out. The walls contain alumirod, an impenetrable forcefield, and only a stick could squeeze through the gates. Only because I know you're one to try." Then he walked right out. Kerrn glanced uneasily at me and then followed him. How long would they keep me here? Hours? Days? Permanently, if I didn't well enough answer the "questioning"? Suddenly fearful, I realized I needed to get out of here. I couldn't stay for the questioning, I most likely couldn't answer many of the questions about my whereabouts before now and such. And once they saw I couldn't they'd think for sure I was intruding. Why is intruding so important anyways? What is the most harm that could fall upon Aphyix with my being in the forests? I turned to the bricked wall, poring over it for any holes or gaps. But it seemed seamless; even the section where the wall and floor met was safely sealed off. From the scales of claws against brick, it looked as if many a prisoner had tried to escape, in vain. "Mind you, she isn't due or in prison." Those had been Keyes' words, though I was fairly certain I was some sort of prisoner. The dripping noise was in my ears. I grumbled and lay my chin on my paws, concentrating intently on the task at hand. What to do, what to do? The time seemed to fly by. If I were to be collected in a few hours, I would have to get out of here fast. I could continue to look for cracks, but the wall was so solid it seemed there wasn't any. The edges were shadowed and stuck up with spiderwebs. This place seemed hundreds of years old: surely there had to be a gap somewhere. It would have to be located in the shadowy edges of the cell, but I couldn't bring myself to stick my paws into them. The whole cell writhed with an eerie feeling, like I was being watched, and suddenly I didn't want to move anymore. Squeezing my eyes shut, I realized I had no other option but to sleep or think about escape, none of which seemed best. If I was too scared to do anything, the only hope I had was the Keyes wouldn't kill me after releasing me from the cell. The dripping noise was near driving me crazy. Drip. Drip. Wait. Dripping! Water! I almost bolted up with realization. Where there was dripping water, there had to be a small rivulet leading from the spot, and where there was a rivulet, there had to be an area in the wall it flowed against and eventually eroded. My heart beating with excitement, I listened carefully to the water. I silently made my way to the source of the noise. My paws gradually padded into wet ground. Finally I felt something plop! onto my forehead and I looked up, blinking as rusty water splashed into my face. I had found it. Now feeling the ground carefully, almost in pitch blackness what with the shadow, I followed the wetness on the ground with my pads. The ground also sloped slightly, from the years of water flowing down this path, and granted my paws purchase on the slippery ground. Finally my nose bumped the wall, even harshly. I rubbed my nose and started feeling around the wall. My mind was calculating at a racing pace, realizing that I had limited time and Keyes would be coming in no time. Yes! I found a little niche in the wall where the water was leaking to. My heart sank. My paw would barely fit through, let alone my whole body! Then my paw triggered rock to crumble around the hole, and I realized that the stone around the hole had massively been softened from the water. I fiercly dug, aware of my pads being flayed, my muscles aching. This is a darn thick wall. I kept carving in with my claws, worried at some point I would reach untouched stone and be trapped. But, as I continually dug, my paw finally broke free and reached sunlight. I gasped in delight. The fresh air battled the musky odor of the cell, and the sunlight seemed to spruce up the dark, worn and aged room. Suddenly the massive entrance doors leading to the cell room opened. Keyes' voice could be heard, along with the deep rumbles of a few other guards. Squeaking urgently, I caught on with my claws and wriggled frantically through the hole I had made. "Hey!" one of the guards shouted in alarm. I could feel Keyes' glare boring into my back. "What are you waiting for?" Keyes hissed. "Guards, catch her!" I leaped free of the room and looked around. Where to run? I found the nearest expanse of trees and made a mad dash for it. "Over there!" one of the guards yelled. I frantically quickened my pace and dug my heels into it. I reached the trees and quickly lost them, though I knew they would find me before long. Knowing I left a scent trail reeking of the cell fungus and cold, musty cell smell, I trotted along and then smartly doubled back along my path. The trackers would wonder what had happened to me. Then I looped around a decadent fern and hid among the base of an oak. Pausing for a minute, I spectated for a little and then scaled the trunk of the oak tree. "Where'd she go?" "Climbed a tree, did she?" "No, you blithering idiots!" I could hear Keyes snarl. I bit back a snort of laughter. "She's doubled back! After her!" They raced back along the track, but I watched them stumble back and forth from the top of the tree. They had completely missed my loop around the ferns. I was safe. Sighing, I leaned back into the central trunk. Had coming the Aphyix really been in the best of my interests? Sure, I wasn't locked up in a huge yet claustrophobic cage anymore. I was roaming free the beautiful lands of the city. But I was still a prisoner, I knew. For even if I ran to the edges of the land, Keyes would track me down, capture me, and diminish my very existence.
Much of the stories centered on the lives of the inmates and staff, who interacted in many varied ways. The head Warden of the Prison (or the Governor) was first, former barrister Erica Davidson (Patsy King), who was interested in rehabilitation. She was firm, yet fair to everyone. After her resignation, in which she would get a job working in the Department which oversaw the prison itself; former social worker, Ann Reynolds (Gerda Nicolson), who was similarly known for rehabilitation over punishment, ran the prison for the remainder of the series' run. Pre-eminent among the inmates was one Bea Smith (Val Lehman), the long-time "Top Dog" (the unofficial leader of the inmates); her friends, old dear prisoner Lizzie Birdsworth (Sheila Florance); Bea's rival, lesbian biker, Franky Doyle (Carol Burns); her ex-girlfriend, Doreen Anderson Burns (Collette Mann); and two newcomers to the inmate population, Karen Travers (Peta Toppano), who had been sentenced after the murder of her abusive and adulterous husband; and Lynne Warner (Kerry Armstrong), who had been arrested for kidnapping and attempted murder. Later "Top Dogs" included Myra Desmond (Anne Phelan); her mate, Judy Bryant (Betty Bobbitt); and one of the most unlikely Top Dogs, Minnie Donovan, (Wendy Playfair). During one of the show's most iconic moments, the wicked Bea slammed the hot steam press on top of Lynne's hand because of her crime. In all prisons, crimes against children are looked down upon and prison justice in this case is often extremely harsh. Not to be outdone were the guards ("screws" as they were called in Australia). Pre-eminent among those are Meg Jackson Morris (Elspeth Ballantyne), a sympathetic guard who was sensitive to prisoner's needs though she was no pushover; Vera Bennett (Fiona Spence), an acid tongued harsh guard who believed in punishment, but she was embittered because of her caring for her over-demanding mother. Despite their differing views of prison management, Vera and Meg were friends (in fact, Meg was Vera's only friend). The inmates liked Meg, and so called her Mrs. Jackson, or Mrs. J. (later she would be known as Mrs. Morris or Mrs. M.); but because they disliked Vera, they called her the derogatory name Vinegar Tits. Vera would later become head governor at a nearby prison called Barnhurst. Other notable guards were Colleen Powell (Judith McGrath), called Po-Face, a firm but extremely fair guard; Joyce Barry Pringle (Joy Westmore), an ineffective, slightly clumsy but beloved guard; and Meg's son, Martin Jackson, who followed his mother into the guard job. Many guards came and went through the doors of Wentworth, both male and female, but none of the guards were ever more hated and utterly despised by BOTH inmates and staff than the infamous Joan Ferguson (Maggie Kirkpatrick). The lesbian Ferguson, known by her enemies (which, as stated, included both inmates and staff) as the Freak, was a power-mad woman who hated absolutely everyone. Twice she took over Wentworth and instituted restrictive regimes, one of which was stopped by Joan's former employer, Erica Davidson; she antagonized her comrades as guards, most notably Meg, whom she fought with for the job of deputy governor. Inmates and staff alike wanted her gone, but it didn't often work. However, in the 692nd and final episode of the series, the Freak's storied luck finally ran out, when former top dog, female biker (or bikie, as they are known in Australia), Rita Connors (Glenna Linscott) had her pinched for robbing a finance company of $500,000. She was arrested and taken to Wentworth, which was the final defeat for the evil former screw. There had been a prequel for the series, called Wentworth, which had the characters as younger versions of themselves. Since the show has been off the air, various DVD box sets help keep the show alive.
