  • The Daedric Prince Hircine takes the form of the elk during the quest "Ill Met by Moonlight." The Dragonborn must slay the stag in order to speak with Hircine. The Prince then instructs the Dragonborn to go to Bloated Man's Grotto and kill the werewolf Sinding. The White Stag drops venison and large antlers upon death.
  • White stags are a type of male deer found rarely in the world of Gielinor. They do not appear in-game, and are mentioned only once in a historical document, The Legend of Arrav. According to legend, when Arrav was nearing manhood, he and the other boys of Avarrocka were sent into the forests to capture a creature. Arrav killed a white stag with red eyes, which the elders took as a good omen. Later in life, he dreamt of Zemouregal, who referenced him as "Hunter of the White Stag". The white stag is an actual animal with a pigmentation condition that has taken root in numerous mythologies.
  • Well over a year after the Archenland Conflict, High King Peter, Queen Susan, King Edmund and Queen Lucy were told about the mythical beast by Mr.Tumnus. He said that it had "Once more appeared in his parts", indicating the Stag had been to Narnia before. They hunted the stag in Lantern Waste, near the Lamp-post, in order for the empire to have its wishes granted. However, they were unable to catch it, and instead unintentionally returned to Earth through Digory Kirke's Wardrobe, through which they reverted back into children, thus un-fulfilling their wishes.
  • White Stags are, as the name suggests, pure white male deer. They have longer legs than regular deer and are slightly larger in general. Mature stags appear to have a glowing light not unlike a small sun radiating from between their antlers.[1] In Celtic mythology they are said to be messengers from the otherworld, and are said to act as guides or symbols for a great adventure or quest. They are also said to be notoriously difficult to capture. White Stags would seem to have magical powers, although it is unknown what form these take.

He said that it had "Once more appeared in his parts", indicating the Stag had been to Narnia before. However, they were unable to catch it, and instead unintentionally returned to Earth through Digory Kirke's Wardrobe, through which they reverted back into children, thus un-fulfilling their wishes. Ultimately, this brought an end to Narnia's Golden Age, and began its Dark Age. It's been theorized that the Stag was really Aslan in disguise, guiding them back to their world, as they had done all that they needed to do.

They are also said to be notoriously difficult to capture. How much of this is true remains to be seen, as there has only been one white stag depicted in Skin Deep, Blanche Noir, and if he possesses these qualities they haven't been intentionally brought up. White Stags would seem to have magical powers, although it is unknown what form these take.
