  • When the alert level is raised to Army, Tanks start to attack Crypto. However, in DAH 2, Tanks won't appear on yellow level (Soldiers) but on orange level. More Tanks come when red level is reached. In the two others ( 1 and 2) Tanks will appear in the second last alert level and disappear in the last alert level. As their name suggests, Tanks are the strongest land weapon that attack Crypto, but with a well aimed Ion Detonator, a few blasts from any Saucer weapon, and continuous firing of a fully upgraded Zap-O-Matic/Disintegrator Ray can easily destroy a Tank.

These are also very hard to repair unless you are a trained tank mechanic. They are difficult to come by as well unless you are near a base hosting tank units or in the military.
  • Tanks in Thunder Brigade are giant 50 Ton vehicles, that employ a special technology that lets them curve space, effectively creating a "bubble" around them where gravity has no effect. This allows them to hover above the ground and slice through air at breakthrough speeds. Tanks are the main fighting units of the three sides, taking up reconnaissance/battle/defensive/building hunting roles. They are armed with multitudes of weapons and thick armor , making them dangerous and tough to both buildings and each other.

  • "Tanks" are a special unit type in Valkyria Chronicles, defined by specific properties: * Controlling a tank unit uses one to three Command Point(s) depending on the type of the tank. * Tanks use AP when turning, not just when moving. * Tanks cannot capture bases but can retreat and/or be called from reserves, except in the first Valkyria Chronicles. They also cannot perform special scenery actions like climbing ladders or hiding in tall grass. * Tanks have multiple hit locations and, in the first game only, multiple health bars; the main body (with different armor values for each facing from the second game onwards), the treads (first game only, massively reduces AP if destroyed), and a glowing radiator which is vulnerable to all forms of attack and functions like a normal i
  • "Tanks are better than you." Sumary: A General staple to any well thought out defense, Tanks are a dreadful sight to see to any un-reinforced hostile army. The drivers in the tanks are slightly crazy as they LOVE to charge an attacking army BEFORE shooting. Roadkill is a common sight to these Armored beasts, so its appropriate to name this a "Pusher" type of defense. Couple these with Mines and cannons, and we got a nasty defense. Higher level tanks can take more damage, shoot more often, and Run people over more often, while also look so much cooler and bigger.
  • The Tank is the spearhead of blitzkrieg warfare and when played properly it shows. This is best seen in the open fields of Seaside Skirmish where you can regularly see small groups of fast-moving tanks working together as a team, looking for gaps in the enemies lines and coming at them from behind. Filling the essential role of artillery support, tanks are a game winning force and the more a team has in action the better.
  • Tanks are a type of units in Rise of Nations and part of the Cavalry branch. They become available in the Industrial Age and upgrade from the Heavy Cavalry, which becomes obsolete at this point. Tanks are built at the Auto Plant, an automatic upgrade of the Stable. Upgrading and production requires both Oil and Metal. Tanks can be countered with Heavy Infantry, Gunships, and Fighter Aircraft.
  • The Tank was first developed around 1915, although the Renaissance inventor Lenardo Da Vinci created the concept of the tank about 400 years earlier. The word "Tank" was meant to deceive spies by making them think the project was for a new water tanker, and whilst under development was covered under water reserviors, and for short "Tanks." The first tank used in combat was the Mark 1, used during the Battle of the Somme. Tanks have undergone many changes to them to counter the new anti-tank arms being produced. Increasing armour thickness was the most common form for obvious reasons and started in WW1 to help defend tank operators from armour pirecing rounds fired from machine guns. Increasing armour thickness also continued into World War II to counter the new explosive launching devices
  • In order to purchase tanks, a nation must have at least 10 technology. You can purchase up to 10% of your soldier count, or 8% of your civilian population count, whichever is less at the time. Tanks cost 40 times whatever your soldiers may cost to purchase. They have a base upkeep cost of $40. Iron and Oil lowers tank upkeep costs by -5%, Lead lowers tank purchase and upkeep costs by -8%.

Tanks cost 40 times whatever your soldiers may cost to purchase. They have a base upkeep cost of $40. Iron and Oil lowers tank upkeep costs by -5%, Lead lowers tank purchase and upkeep costs by -8%. Each tank has an offensive battle strength of 25 (compared to 2 battle strength of a regular soldier), and a defensive battle strength of 30. Attacking tanks reduces enemy infrastructure strength bonuses by up to 1% per 100 tanks, up to 7,500 tanks.

Increasing armour thickness also continued into World War II to counter the new explosive launching devices being used to counter them as well as other tanks. The idea of the turret was also implemeted in World War II as tanks used in WWI often housed simply an automatic weapon if any arms at all.

Tanks are built at the Auto Plant, an automatic upgrade of the Stable. Upgrading and production requires both Oil and Metal. Packed with heavy armor and guns, tanks are generally very effective when fighting other vehicles, including support units and Artillery Weapons, as well as civilian units. They are also somewhat useful when going against certain types of infantry (Machine Guns, Flamethrowers) or buildings. In formations, tanks take up the front line, along with Ranged Cavalry vehicles. They move fairly slow, however, and may slow down the progress of an army. Tanks can be countered with Heavy Infantry, Gunships, and Fighter Aircraft.

Higher level tanks can take more damage, shoot more often, and Run people over more often, while also look so much cooler and bigger. Design details: Intally, the tank is a turret with two tank treads. The Middle Tank has the tank treads hexagonal and a circle base of the turret. The Heavy Tank is a octogonal base of the turret a built in ladder and square tank treads.

Tanks can't be destroyed by infantry small arms because the armor is too thick to be penetrated by bullets. Tanks are best countered by infantry AT weapons, Planes and other Tanks, although Anti-Air Guns also do the the job. Infantry, mostly Commandos and Soldiers, will often attempt to deal with tanks by using Sticky TNT and throwing it on the side of the Tank. Soldiers also tend to use the Blasting Strike ability against tanks which rarely damages them but makes it difficult for them to score road kills or aim properly. The Gunner Class are the best equipped heroes as far as anti-tank goes and can use Tank Busters, which are rocket launchers that excel at taking on vehicles like Tanks and Jeeps at range. Sometimes people also use Explosive Kegs, Grenades and Troop Traps against Tanks. Tanks are armed with a single cannon that is very powerful and can destroy Jeeps (at a direct hit) and Planes with a single shot. It is effective against infantry, but more so when you "Tank Smash" them (run them over with the Tank) but be careful as infantry with TNT can be dangerous so it can be better to keep your distance. The best place to take on Tanks as infantry is a close urban environment like the village in Seaside Skirmish. If you're a Gunner with a Tank Buster try to gain height and get out of the way of possible Tank Smashes. This means balconies and, if possible, roofs where you should be able to get in a few good shots before they see you. If your high enough then they'll have trouble targeting you. If your a Soldier or Commando try to avoid being Tank Smashed, use any abilities that will help you (like Blasting Strike or Elixir) and try to plant as many Sticky TNTs as you can.

Their HP can only be restored using the Engineer Tool. Tanks cannot be healed with Ragnaid. * Most of a tank's hit locations are completely immune to standard gunfire. * Tanks are the only unit that can trigger anti-tank mines in the first Valkyria Chronicles. Tanks take no damage from anti-personnel mines. The player controlled tanks in Valkyria Chronicles are the Edelweiss and Shamrock. During the Selvaria's Mission: Behind Her Blue Flame DLC, a Light Imperial Tank is also available for control.
