  • John André (2 May 1750 – 2 October 1780) was a male Human in the 18th century, who served as a Major in the army of Great Britain during the American Revolutionary War. Andre is noted for striking a deal with American General Benedict Arnold to surrender the fort at West Point -- a plot which failed, and led to Andre's execution by American forces. Andre was long considered the man who turned Arnold to the British side during the war. However, 24th century historian Montmorency posited, in the monograph Benedict Arnold, Patriot, that Arnold was not a traitor, and instead orchestrated Andre's capture. (TNG comic: "The Lesson")
