- Puffer Fish are a species of fish living around the island's seas. They are currently green and orange varieties. A particularly large member of their species is found in Soda Seas of Aqua Grabber as the Guardian of the level's Amethyst. A large number of Puffer Fish is seen in the Aqua Rescue! mini-game in Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force: Herbert's Revenge.

The majority of their bodies are steeped in toxin, and if you were to eat one, you'd die pretty dang quickly. - According to the Jowai Resort Owner, Felton Razz, most the lifeforms on Pokitaru were originally docile in nature. However, Blarg forces eventually occupied Pokitaru airspace, and the planet soon became a dumping ground for Blarg vessels carrying waste. Many species native to Pokitaru mutated, such as Puffer Fish and Psytopus. These mutant creatures quickly began to devour tourists, causing many more to flee the planet and causing Felton to shut down the resort.

- Puffer Fish are enemies from Pac-Man World. They are found in Cosair's Cove, and Crisis Cavern. The Puffer Fish are small, green fish with orange spikes all over their body. When the fish see Pac-man, they puff up, and extend their spikes. The only way to defeat the Puffer Fish is an underwater Pac D ot Shoot. Since Pacman can't Pac Dot Shoot underwater, he needs a Chrome Suit to do it. It is quite difficult to destroy them, for it's hard to get Pac-Man's aim just right to hit the Puffer Fish in mid-air(water). This is actually the only enemy that can be killed by the Pac Dot Shoot, but not the Super Pac Dot Shoot, because to kill the Puffer Fish, a Pac Shoot must be executed in mid water/air. It is impossible to do a Super Shoot in the air. The Puffer Fish is the only enemy underwater. (Excluding Ghosts, which are in a maze in a Fruit Door Maze.
