  • Elizabeth Watkins (10 March 1863—31 October 1973) was a Northern Irish supercentenarian considered by Guinness World Records to be the world's oldest person in 1973, following the death of Alice Stevenson on Aug. 18, 1973. She kept the title for about 2 1/2 months before passing away. She resided in Belfast City Hospital from the age of 94 and by 1973 was reported to be "stone deaf".
