They included riding on Appa and taking walks together. An affection budded between the two, but unfortunately Yue was bound to an arranged marriage to Hahn, a shallow young warrior with more love for her high status than for Yue herself, referring that "She comes with the most perks." Sokka and Yue came to realize their love for each other, but Yue could not bear to continue their meetings because they conflicted so with her duty to her tribe. Sokka eventually became angered because of Yue commenting that being together was 'wrong' and that it was her duty to marry Hahn for her people, to which Sokka replied she wasn't marrying her people. Both of their feelings persisted, and during Admiral Zhao's siege of the Northern Water Tribe, Sokka was ordered by Arnook to act as Yue's bodyguard. Yue aids Aang in entering the Spirit World by leading him and Katara to the Spirit Oasis. Later, when Aang has been captured by Zuko, she accompanies Katara and Sokka in tracking the two of them down on Appa. Upon their return to the Spirit Oasis, they were confronted by Zhao, who fatally struck the Moon Spirit's mortal form, leaving all Waterbenders powerless without the moon's influence. Yue once again acted to carry out her duty to her tribe and sacrificed herself in order to give back the life the Moon Spirit had given her when she was a newborn. Her sacrifice came against Sokka's protests, but in the end the young warrior was unable to stop her. She placed her hands onto the fish, closed her eyes and died in Sokka's arms. Her spirit appeared before him shortly after, wearing a long white gown. She whispered, "Goodbye, Sokka. I will always be with you," and the two shared a final kiss before she vanished completely. It is also shown that after the Moon Spirit was killed, everything turned grey, but Yue's eyes remained blue, showing the life-force of Tui inside of her.

In einem Kampf gegen einen bekannten Gegner nutze er alle Kraft für Ultima und verband seine Seele mit den seiner zwei früheren Existenzen um Yue wieder zu wecken, der von da an seinen Platz einnahm. In der Jetzt-Zeit lernte Yue Kratos kennen und rettete ihn zweimal aus dem Dunkelreich, als dieser in die Shinigamidimension zurückwollte. Sokka eventually became angered when Yue insisted that being together was "wrong" and that it was her duty to marry Hahn for her people, to which Sokka replied she was not marrying her people. Both of their feelings persisted, and during Admiral Zhao's siege of the Northern Water Tribe, Sokka was ordered by Arnook to act as Yue's bodyguard. Yue aided Aang in entering the Spirit World, by leading him and Katara to the Spirit Oasis. Later, when Aang had been captured by Zuko, she accompanied Katara and Sokka as they tracked the two of them down on Appa. Upon their return to the Spirit Oasis, they were confronted by Zhao, who fatally struck the Moon Spirit's mortal form, leaving all waterbenders powerless without the moon's influence. Iroh, who appeared on scene, saw that she had been touched by the Moon Spirit. He reminded Yue of this, and she once again acted dutifully to her tribe, sacrificing herself in order to give back the life that the Moon Spirit had given her as a newborn. Her sacrifice was made against Sokka's wishes, but in the end, the young warrior did not stop her. She placed her hands onto the fish, closed her eyes, and died in Sokka's arms. Her spirit appeared before him shortly after, wearing a long white gown. She whispered, "Goodbye, Sokka. I will always be with you," and the two shared a final kiss before she vanished completely.

Die typische Pandarenmaske in ihrem Gesicht ist ebenfalls silbergrau und umschließt ein paar jadegrüne Augen. Für Nicht-Pandaren scheint es schwer zu sein das Alter dieser Frau zu schätzen, doch Mitglieder ihrer Rasse werden sie auf ein mittleres Alter schätzen. Die Haare auf ihrem Kopf sind in einem dunklen Grauton und heben sich deutlich von dem Silbergrau ihres Fells ab. Einige weiße Strähnen durchziehen wie Spinnenfäden ihre Haare. Ein po-langer geflochtener Zopf hängt an ihrem Hinterkopf hinab und wird von zwei Metallringen geschlossen gehalten. Ihr Gesicht ist wie zu erwarten leicht ründlich. Ihr Nasenrücken verläuft durchgegend und grade. Der Nasenspiegel ist schwarz und haarlos. Die ründlich fleischigen Bäckchen (Lippenwulst) sorgt dafür, dass diese Pandaren ein freundliches Erscheinungsbild erhält.Fast als würde dauerhaft ein Lächeln auf ihrem Gesicht ruhen. Ihr Körper entspricht wohl nicht den Vorstellungen der nicht-pandarischen Rassen von einer Frau mit engelsgleicher Figur. Ihr Körperbau ist als kräftig zu bezeichnen, ein wohlgeformter runder Bauch, mit passenden Hüften und Oberschenkel. Man würde wohl von pumpelig oder einfach dick sprechen. Unpassenden zu ihrer Figur sind die Bewegungen jedoch geschmeidig, elegant und fließend. Gekleidet ist sie in unterschiedlichen Materialen die keinem festen Schema zu folgen scheinen, doch immer ruht ein Gürtel mit vielen verschieden großen Ledersäckchen und einer kürbisförmigen Flasche mit Pfotenabdruck an ihrer "zarten" Taille. Um ihren Hals ruht ,als ihr einziger Schmuck, ein Lederbändchen mit einem Anhänger, welches eine in sich verschlungende Jadeschlange zeigt. Das Fell gesamt macht einen dichten und warmen Eindruck. Ihr Schweif ist kurz und gleich eher der Blume eines Hasen statt den langen Schweifen ihrer roten Kameradinnen. Der Geruch von Räucherwerk und verschiedenen Kräutern umgibt sie.
