- David Slack appeared on Coronation Street as the Registrar officiating at three civil ceremonies: the aborted marriage of Danny Hargreaves to Sally Webster in April 2001; the marriage of Steve McDonald to Karen Phillips in the following month and the marriage of Richard Hillman to Gail Platt in July 2002. Trained at the Arden School of Theatre, his other credits include roles in North Square, Mersey Beat, Cold Feet, Emmerdale, A Touch of Frost, Steel River Blues and Waterloo Road. On stage he has appeared in productions of Chorus of Disapproval, The Paradise, A-Gender, The Ways of Time, Dealing Dreams, Twelfth Night, Oh! What a Lovely War, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Sleeping Policeman, Paperboys, Beautiful House and Fourteen.
