  • Hops is an item found in The Elder Scrolls Online.
  • Hops can be used to make different types of beers and ales with the Cooking skill. Hop seeds are planted in a hops patch by using 4 hop seeds (only 3 Jute seeds) on the patch with a seed dibber in the player's inventory or toolbelt. Hops need to be watered during its growing cycle. Harvesting yields between 3 and 35 hops and is done with a spade in the player's inventory or toolbelt. After a hops patch has been harvested, it will become cleared which will require the patch to be re-planted. Hops on average give less experience in planting and harvesting than allotments; however, they are not nearly as susceptible to disease as allotments. Hops patch do not a have a compost bin nearby but do have a Tool Leprechaun.
  • Hops are the female flower cones of the hop plant (Humulus lupulus). They are used primarily as a flavoring and stability agent in beer, along with use in other beverages and in herbal medicine. The first documented use in beer is from the eleventh century. Hops contain several characteristics favorable to beer, balancing the sweetness of the malt with bitterness, contributing flowery, citrus, fruity or herbal aromas, and having an antibiotic effect that favors the activity of yeast over less desirable microorganisms. The hop plant is a vigorous climbing herbaceous perennial, usually grown up strings in a field called a hopfield, hop garden or hop yard. Many different varieties of hops are grown by farmers all around the world, with different types being used for particular styles of beer.
  • Hops is an NPC that can be found in both Rimmington and southeast Varrock. He helps you smuggle one of the vials into Varrock during the Biohazard quest.
