- right|250px Kadaj (jap. カダージュ, Kadāju) ist der Antagonist in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children und gleichzeitig ein Fragment von Sephiroths Seele, die mit seinem Tod in Final Fantasy VII gespalten wurde und in den Lebensstrom eingegangen ist. Charakterlich ist Kadaj sehr gefühlskalt und ihm ist jedes Opfer recht, um seinen Plan in die Tat umzusetzen. Daher steht Kadaj für Sephiroths Grausamkeit und Skrupellosigkeit. Er fungiert als Anführer der Gruppe, die ansonsten aus Yazoo und Loz besteht. Obwohl sie nicht wirklich miteinander verwandt sind, nennen sie sich gegenseitig Bruder.

Capo di una gang composta da lui stesso e dalle altre due ombre di Sephiroth, Yazoo e Loz, viaggia assieme a loro con le moto superveloci alla disperata ricerca della fantomatica "Madre". Il suo scopo primario è trovarla per dare luogo alla cosiddetta unione, che porterà il ritorno di Sephiroth sul pianeta. Il doppiatore giapponese di Kadaj è Shoutaro Morikubo, da cui è stato preso anche parte dell'aspetto fisico e del carattere.

Il suo scopo primario è trovarla per dare luogo alla cosiddetta unione, che porterà il ritorno di Sephiroth sul pianeta. La presenza di Kadaj nel film è stata voluta da Tetsuya Nomura e dallo staff perchè, sebbene Nomura avesse dichiarato sin da subito l'idea di mettere Sephiroth come cattivo finale, si sentiva bisogno della presenza di un cattivo secondario che fosse malvagio e pazzo quanto lui, se non di più. Da lì nacque il personaggio, che nei primi mesi di vita del progetto era chiamato semplicemente "Lost Name". Il doppiatore giapponese di Kadaj è Shoutaro Morikubo, da cui è stato preso anche parte dell'aspetto fisico e del carattere.
