| abstract | - The Oracle of Fawn is one of the most important artifacts in Fawn. It is a statue several meters tall, of a beautiful (and very naked) woman, which possesses intelligence. Not much was revealed about the Oracle. It stands in the Temple of Beauty, and its wisdom is seen as absolute. However, in reality, it is manipulated by other forces in the city to their gain. When the Avatar visited Fawn in Ultima VII Part Two, Dupre got thrown into jail because of revealing his ties to Lord British. During the first round of Dupre's trial, the Oracle was totally against him. However, the Avatar was told in secret by Alyssand that the Oracle seemed strange. Investigating by night, the Avatar found out that in truth, Great Captain Voldin and Kylista manipulated the Oracle to control the city. After killing Voldin and freeing the Oracle from its bonds, it revealed the truth the next day at the trial. Kylista was arrested, and the ruling system of Fawn changed.
