She then fought against Watraii vessels at the planet. The away team was rescued, and the Alliance went back to Federation space. (TOS - Vulcan's Soul novel: Exiles) In 2379, the Alliance was still under the command of Saavik. When Commander Tuvok went undercover on Romulus and met Spock, he mentioned that he bore greetings from Saavik of the Alliance. (TTN novel: Taking Wing)
