This planet was known to the Federation, who were attempting to supply the species with deuridium so they could prolong their lifespan. Rao Vantika was one of the planet's most notorious criminals. He murdered many of his own kind in his pursuit of prolonging his own lifespan. (DS9: "The Passenger") This planet was only mentioned in dialogue. The name of this planet is from an article on Rao Vantika from StarTrek.com, which places the planet in the Alpha Quadrant. Another StarTrek.com article also said it to be near the Bajoran system. According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 47) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), there was a star system named Kobliad, in which this planet might possibly have been located, in the Alpha Quadrant. This was a binary star system with a pair of F-class stars.
