Alternatively if the player does not want to waste runes upon runes with potential splashes, extra prayer potions may be brought to use magic boosting prayer as well. 4 prayer potions should be more than enough for this battle if you only intend on using protection prayers. While protecting from magic, keep your distance as the demon cannot inflict damage on the player, as he will never move from the spot he attacks you with magic from. If the demon is close enough to use melee, he will use whatever form of combat the player is not protecting against.
