  • Throughout the Turok franchise many species of dinosaurs have appeared throughout the Lost Land. Erica Pierce, the woman known as Mothergod, also created genetically engineered advanced dinosaurs known as Bionosaurs, which have gone on to become a trademark enemy of the series. Though dinosaurs only appear throughout the Lost Land, some dinosaurs managed to find a way back to Earth. The copious amounts of dinosaurs that act as enemies throughout the comic and video game adaptations is naturally the reason for the series' most memorable subtitle, Dinosaur Hunter.
  • Dinosaur were a group of creatures that dominated the Earth before human evolved. The Ancients transplanted dinosaurs to the moon M1M-316 in Pegasus galaxy. Their descendants are dinosaur-like creature. (SGA: "The Siege, Part 1")
  • Dinosaurs come in many sizes and shapes. Bigger varieties have drab coloration, while smaller dinosaurs have more colorful markings. Most dinosaurs have a pebbly skin texture.
  • Dinosaurs have become a major media sensation because of human civilization's increased destruction of their habitat. When jungles, prairies, forests, and other prime dinosaur ecological communities are destroyed, these noble creatures have to come into cities and towns to search for food and shelter. Humans have always lived in peace with the tinier feathered dinosaurs, and until now, the larger dinosaurs were naturally skittish and avoided humans. Due to environmental destruction, this relationship is proving increasingly difficult, and the bigger specimens no longer keep to themselves.

  • Dinosaurs were a class of vertebrates, which evolved 230 million years ago. They lived during the Mesozoic era. They diversified into a huge variety of shapes and sizes, from long-necked giants to speedy, agile carnivores like the raptors. They died out 66 million years ago, probably as a result of an asteroid impact. it is widely believed that theropod dinosaurs, mainly raptors, evolved into birds, and so dinosaurs are not in fact extinct but still alive, and survive into the future as well.
  • (The Disneycember logo is shown, before showing clips from Dinosaur. The score for this film composed by James Newton Howard plays in the background, but the music that plays the most is "The Egg Travels") Doug (vo): By popular demand, let's talk about Dinosaur. This is the one, for whatever reason, everybody's been pleading for me to do, even though it technically isn't a 2D animated film. My guess was that the film must be so good that obviously everybody wants me to review it. Um...okay. I didn't quite see it as that but, uh...
  • A fractured history setting where all the dinosaurs of Chapter 2 of GURPS Bestiary coexist.
  • They can be divided in five groups; the Angorodon, Ceratadon, Ferothrax, Raptors and Tyrannus.
  • Tagline: You have never seen anything like this.
  • As shown above, Dinosaurs must rely on their fists... er, claws. Their only other option of maiming someone or something are ranged weapons - something they're terrible at, due to perception issues. As such, Warriors are the most obvious choice for this race. Their Learning, Willpower, Perception, and Charisma often are below five (obviously), and their available slots are limited. (You ever see a Giganatosaurus wield a claymore? A Utahraptor with a katana? A stegosaurus with a morningstar? You haven't, because that's stupid.) Their health, however, is above average - excellent for getting up close and personal.
  • A dinosaur is any number of giant lizards including the Pterodactyl, the Saurus, the Tyrannosaurus, the Saurus Rex, and the Terrorsaurus.

  • After hearing Madame Olympe Maxime claim that she had "big bones" rather than admit to being half-giant, Harry Potter remarked that the only thing that had bigger bones would be a dinosaur, a highly successful group of animals originating in Mesozoic era, many of which were known for their immense size. Presumably, in the world of Harry Potter, they may also be related to dragons.
  • Dinosaur (恐竜 Kyōryū?) is a dinosaur like creature created by the Alien Metron siblings. It first appeared in in Heisei Ultraseven: The Ground of the Earthlings.
  • Dinosaurs (Terrible lizard) are reptilian creatures with sharp teeth and fangs along with multiple jagged and angular protrusions usually along the back or any other limbs that appeared at the Prehistoric Party 2013, the Prehistoric Party 2014, Prehistoric Party 2016 and The Penguins That Time Forgot. Despite being extinct in the real world and Club Penguin Universe, Dinosaurs were seen active in "jurassic" Club Penguin to which member penguins were able to transform into several different species of dinosaur.
  • Ancient reptilian creatures from the time of the Lizardfolk. Some may still exist at the time of Daventry, but are perhaps rare. Some believe dragons may be related to them or the basis of dragon myths. But it cannot be the memory of the dinosaurs because humanity and dinosaurs never existed at the same time (or at least very few know of them).

Dinosaurs are natives to Argonnessen, Khorvaire, Xen'drik, and the Frostfell, though the dragons of Argonnessen have purged their continent of carnivorous dinosaurs, while the civilized races of Khorvaire have forced the dinosaurs into regions like the Talenta Plains and Q'barra. The halflings of the Talenta Plains have formed spiritual bonds with the animals, and use them as mounts.

  • Dinosaurs were a group of reptiles on Earth from approximately 230 million to 65 million BC.
  • A dinosaur is a prehistoric creature, related to reptiles and mammals, with a scaly, reptiloid appearance, although they were warm-blooded creatures with advanced skeletal structures. The surviving descendents of the dinosaurs are actually modern day avians... birds. In common use, the term dinosaur is also used, inaccurately, to describe other creatures such as synapsids, such as the dimetrodon, which are more closely related to mammals, or plesiosaurs, aquatic, reptiloid creatures.

  • Einstein theorized the extinction of dinosaurs. He states that dinosaurs got extinct due to an asteroid that collided with Earth. He said that dinosaurs will return someday to the Earth in 2012. He said that the asteroid that hit the Earth 65 million years ago will return to Earth from Jupiter with the dinosaurs who decided to go on a journey with the asteroid. After that, the dinosaurs will remove their scaly skin from the boulder and touch the Earth again. This will cause for the humans to panic. Dinosaurs will eat the humanity because of that darn asteroid.
  • Dinosaurs. Although Plesiosaurs and Pterosaurs aren't technically Dinosaurs, they are grouped with them here for convenience, as they typically are in non-specialist descriptions of Dinosaurs on Earth. This article concerns Dinosaurs on the Fighting Fantasy world of Titan, although reference is also made to Dinosaurs which occur in the world of Orb and in the futuristic Fighting Fantasy land, Thalos.
  • Dinosaurs lived in the Mesozoic Era. They first appeared at least as far back as 230 Million years ago. Many of them were some of the largest creatures to ever inhabit Planet Earth. Really big dinosaurs evolved more than 100 Million years ago. The Cretacious-Tertary extinction event, which took place 65 million years ago, wiped out most of the dinosaur species, leaving only Birds to survive. . . After that, Mammals evolved to become the dominant land animals.
  • Dinosaurs are an extinct group of avians that lived from approximately 230 million years ago, to around 66 million years ago, when a mass extinction occured that wiped out almost all of the earth's animals.
  • A dinosaur is a group of many different kinds of large reptilian-like animals previously thought to be extinct. While they are deceased across most of the world, some still live in the Savage Land on Antarctica.
  • Dinosaurs are a type of archosaur that has only one survivor--Birds. The term "dinosaur" was coined in 1842 by Sir Richard Owen and derives from Greek δεινός (deinos) "terrible, powerful, wondrous" + σαῦρος (sauros) "lizard". It is sometimes used informally to describe other prehistoric reptiles, such as the pelycosaur Dimetrodon, the winged pterosaurs, and the aquatic ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs and mosasaurs, although none of these animals were dinosaurs. Through the first half of the 20th century, most of the scientific community believed dinosaurs to have been slow, unintelligent cold-blooded animals. Most research conducted since the 1970s, however, has supported the view that dinosaurs were active animals with elevated metabolisms and numerous adaptations for social interaction. The re
  • Like Africa, dinosaurs (or Jesus Horses) are not real. However, some people who call themselves scientists claim that fossils prove their existence. If that were true, then why did the Bible say that we would be tested by Lucifer's lies? Dinosaurs are comically large, imaginary lizards invented by Scientists in the early 20th century for the sake of selling museum tickets, obtaining government grants, and raising taxes. Dragon bones are often mistaken for dinosaur bones

  • After Jonathan Archer restored a damaged timeline, a carnivorous dinosaur could be seen in the time stream as the timeline realigned itself. (ENT: "Storm Front, Part II") Doctor Noonian Soong kept several dinosaur models, including a model skeleton of a Triceratops and a large Tyrannosaurus rex skull, in his laboratory on Terlina III. After he died in early 2367, Data gave the model dinosaurs to the brothers Jake and Willie Potts. (TNG: "Brothers" )
  • Dinosaurs first appeared on earth 245 million years ago on a continent called Pangaea (this continent was actually made up of all of todays modern continents.). Image:B!.jpg By the end of the Paleozoic period, 245 million years ago, reptiles ruled on land and fish in the sea, but they almost all died out at the end of the Permian period. This ushered at the end of the Mesozoic period which started with a long period of recovery. Soon the old Paleozoic reptiles called mammal-like reptiles because they were the ancestors of mammals, began to get replaced by the dinosaurs. For the rest of the Mesozoic period - 170 million years - dinosaurs were the dominant animals on land .in seas other giant reptiles took over all the large predator niches. • In 1955, Biff Tannen stowed away in the DeLorean time machine. When it returned to 1991, he stole it from the Institute of Future Technology. While Doc is locked in the lab, he recruits volunteers to travel through time in an 8-passenger DeLorean to chase Biff through time and bring both DeLorean time machines back to 1991. While being chased through time, Biff travels into an active volcano during a time period populated by dinosaurs.
  • Dinosaurs were vertebrate animals that dominated terrestrial ecosystems for over 160 million years, first appearing approximately 230 million years ago. 65 million years ago, at the end of the Cretaceous Period, a catastrophic extinction event ended dinosaurs' dominance on land. At least one significant group of dinosaurs has survived until the present day; taxonomists consider modern Birds to be the direct descendants of theropod dinosaurs.
  • Dinosaurs were a superorder of reptiles that existed millions of years ago. 60 million years ago, nearly all species of dinosaurs became extinct, except for the line that had led to the first birds. Warm-blooded vertebrates without fur or feathers did not survive what appears to be a very cold period following a meteor strike on the Earth, thus ending the non-avian dinosaurs species. The most famous dinosaurs are Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and Diplodocus amongst others. Grandpa Smurf seems to be quite knowledgeable about these animals.

  • Dinosaurs are reptilian creatures that have existed on multiple planets, including Earth and Mobius. They have become extinct on most worlds, but several species (and the related pterosaurs) remain on Mobius. On Earth, Ecco the Dolphin was forced to contend with a whole world of them when sent to the ancient past by a glyph. Other dinosaurs were reborn in the sewers of North Sterlington, thanks to the monstrous green slime. The young adventurer Marko made sure they stayed extinct by vapourising them.
  • Dinosaur (Japanese: 恐(きょう)竜(りゅう) Kyōryū) is a type of monster that primarily relies on brute strength, and sometimes Monster Effects, to help a Duelist prevail in a Duel. There are many high-level Dinosaur-Type monsters, so the general strategy for them is to Summon their high-Level monsters as quickly as possible using cards like "Hunting Instinct" or "Big Evolution Pill", overpowering the opponent's weaker monsters before they have a chance to defend themselves. Dinosaurs are predominantly EARTH-Attribute monsters (most of those that are or resemble Pterosaurs are WIND), but the release of the "Jurrac" Archetype led to a surge of FIRE Dinosaur-Type monsters, continued with the "Evolsaur" archetype, "Number 61: Volcasaurus", and "Pyrorex the Elemental Lord". • The Dinosaurs, or Dinosauria, was the name of a group of archosaurian reptiles that lived from the Mid Triassic Period (230 mya) to the Late Cretaceous Period (65 mya). Dinosaurs are arguably the most famous creatures ever to live on earth, first described as a group by anatomist Sir Richard Owen during a lecture in 1841, based on three genera, Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, and Hylaeosaurus. Dinosaurs now includes nearly a thousand species, hundreds of taxon, and around thirty families. Dinosaurs gained a huge popularity boost in 1993, with the release of the original Jurassic Park, and subsequent sequels every four years, with the exception of the fourth movie. The only dinosaurs left alive today are their direct descendants, the birds. Crocodilians are the only sister group alive of the dinos
  • Dinosaurs are large prehistoric reptiles, that the whole Dino Crisis series is based on. They lived in the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods of the Mesozoic Era, and were both carnivorous and herbivorous. The dinosaurs presented in the games have varying roles, from simply being wildlife ambient, enemy grunts, bosses, and even the game's "stalker", which means the specific dinosaur would stalk the player wherever they go, and can only be killed in boss fights.
  • Dinosaurs were vertebrate reptilian lifeforms that lived on Earth from approximately 230 million years ago to 65 million years ago, when a large body impacted on Earth and caused a mass extinction of nearly all the dinosaurs living on the planet. Dinosaurs came in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, with some being carnivorous and others being herbivores.
  • These ancient bird-like reptilian beasts inspire awe and respect wherever they go. While animals, dinosaurs possess a might and magnificence that places them above other creatures of the natural world; many sapient races revere dinosaurs, or consider it a test of personal honor to hunt one of the great beasts.
  • DINOSAUR (originally named Countdown to Extinction) is a dark ride at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Guests board vehicles called Time Rovers and are taken on a turbulent journey through primeval scenes populated with audio-animatronic dinosaurs. Originally named Countdown to Extinction, the ride's name was later changed to "Dinosaur".
  • Dinosaur is the name of the dominant life forms native to the Land of the Lost. Like their Earth-version counterparts, they are large reptilian-like animals that propagate by laying eggs and forming large single-species communities although a few live in isolated solitary lifestyles. There are many different species of dinosaurs indigenous to the land of the Lost, including the infamous Tyrannosaurus rex and the Brontosaurus. Other non-dinosaurs creatures encountered were Pteranodons, Dimetrodons and theSleestak.
  • Dinosaurs are a varied group of animals from taxonomic, morphological and ecological standpoints. Birds, at over 9,000 living species, are the most diverse group of vertebrates besides perciform fish. Using fossil evidence, paleontologists have identified over 500 distinct genera and more than 1,000 different species of non-avian dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are represented on every continent by both extant species and fossil remains. Some are herbivorous, others carnivorous. While dinosaurs were ancestrally bipedal, many extinct groups included quadrupedal species, and some were able to shift between these stances. Elaborate display structures such as horns or crests are common to all dinosaur groups, and some extinct groups developed skeletal modifications such as bony armor and spines. Evidence

  • While the main characters in Dinosaur are computer-animated, most of the film's backgrounds were filmed on location. A number of backgrounds were found in Canaima National Park in Venezuela; various tepuis and Angel Falls also appear in the film.
  • Despite humans living on Earth in Dragonball Z, there are also several dinosaurs alive as well.
Dinosaurs weren't able to fly or live underwater, hence why many reptiles living in the Mesozoic Era were classified as merely ancient reptiles, despite being given the "-saurus" suffix in their names. The flying reptiles are pterosaurs, the marine reptiles have different types like Plesiosaurs, Mosasaurs, Ichtyosaurs and etc. Most of the dinosaurs in Dino Crisis and Dino Stalker were Carnivores, as Herbivore dinosaurs rarely pose any harm to the player.
  • The informal term dinosaur can refer to one of six different Items used primarily in Rank 4. Evidence suggests that egg laying and nest building are additional traits shared by all dinosaurs. While modern birds are generally small due to the constraints of flight, many prehistoric dinosaurs were large-bodied—the largest sauropod dinosaurs may have achieved lengths of 58 meters (190 feet) and heights of 9.25 meters (30 feet 4 inches). Still, the idea that non-avian dinosaurs were uniformly gigantic is a misconception based on preservation bias, as large, sturdy bones are more likely to last until they are fossilized. Many dinosaurs were quite small: Xixianykus, for example, was only about 50 cm (20 in) long. Although the word dinosaur means "terrible lizard", the name is somewhat misleading, as dinosaurs are not lizards, representing instead a separate group of reptiles which, like many extinct forms, did not exhibit characteristics traditionally seen as reptilian, such as a sprawling limb posture or ectothermy. Additionally, many prehistoric animals, including mosasaurs, ichthyosaurs, pterosaurs, plesiosaurs, and Dimetrodon, are popularly conceived of as dinosaurs, but are not classified as dinosaurs. Through the first half of the 20th century, before birds were recognized to be dinosaurs, most of the scientific community believed dinosaurs to have been sluggish and cold-blooded. Most research conducted since the 1970s, however, has indicated that all dinosaurs were active animals with elevated metabolisms and numerous adaptations for social interaction. Since the first dinosaur fossils were recognized in the early 19th century, mounted fossil dinosaur skeletons have been major attractions at museums around the world, and dinosaurs have become an enduring part of world culture. The large sizes of some groups, as well as their seemingly monstrous and fantastic nature, have ensured dinosaurs' regular appearance in best-selling books and films, such as Jurassic Park. Persistent public enthusiasm for the animals has resulted in significant funding for dinosaur science, and new discoveries are regularly covered by the media.
One of the most advanced dinosaurs to evolve on Earth was the hadrosaur, which prior to the 24th century had been believed to had died out 65 million years ago. However the hadrosaur had not died out, and continued to evolve—eventually becoming the species known as Voth. The Voth eventually left Earth and traveled across the galaxy to the Delta Quadrant. In 2373, the USS Voyager encountered the Voth, revealing that there was intelligent life on Earth before the rise of humanity. (VOY episode: "Distant Origin") Before the extinction of the dinosaurs on Earth, an alien race believed to be the Preservers were responsible for saving a species of Troodon due to their developing sentience. This species of dinosaur, known as the Clan Ru, would be relocated to a new world where they developed their own society. (TOS novel: First Frontier) Both Jake Sisko and Kasidy Yates enjoyed reading about dinosaurs during their childhoods. Yates planned to get information on whether Bajor had similar animals, as her place of birth Cestus III had, as she was sure Rebecca would take an interest when she got older. (DS9 - Worlds of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel: Bajor: Fragments and Omens) On the USS Enterprise-D, one of the holodeck programs in the ship's computer was for riding dinosaurs. Riders discovered that while the fatality fail-safe would keep them from serious injury, they would still be hurt if they fell off a dinosaur. (TNG novel: The Devil's Heart)
  • The ice melted and frees the dinosaurs. Ariel and Flounder see a Brontosaurus and her infant, a Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Triceratops, and a Stegosaurus
  • In the hopes of creating an evil mutant army, Dr. Drakken combined forces with noted biogeneticist DNAmy. Their attempt was a bit too successful, in that the resulting "dino-thing" escaped from Amy's lab and went on a rampage.
  • There was an old Earth expression, "old dinosaur", which meant someone heavily entrenched in tradition. In 1903 PD, Honor Harrington considered Howard Clinkscales an "old dinosaur". (HH2)
  • Dinosaur is a currently a Senior Officer with The Sexy Crue and member of The Very Sexy Flag on the Sage Ocean. Dinosaur began her Puzzle Pirates life as Cybergoth on December 29, 2005 in the Sage Ocean on Wensleydale in the Gull Archipelago. She played on Cybergoth for about a year and a half, at which time, she traded all her items to Valliee. For three years she played as Valliee until March 1, 2009, she switched pirates to Dinosaur as a way to start all over and better her life as a pirate. Her long time friends include Curse (formerly Freakykji), since Cybergoth; Taq (formerly Yoyojoe), a short time after Cybergoth; and Bambie, since Valliee. Her boyfriend forevermore is Bzarone. Although she is not very good at any of the puzzles, her favorite ship puzzle is Rigging. Treasure Drop is her favorite carousing puzzle and she is partial to Blacksmithing for crafting puzzles. Dino is not well known among her fellow pirates but those who do know her, know that she can be quite the antagonist, random, sarcastic, funny, and witty. But she tries to be helpful and kind when she can. She took a hiatus from the game in August 2010 with the visitation of Bzarone to her home in real life. She returned May 18, 2011 to gratefully find much of the game still the same as when she left. She once had a dog named Scooby-Doo but she had taken a break from Y!PP and now does not remember what happened to him. Dinosaur can be found at Sho Girls on Admiral Island, the Admiral docks, or Bzarone's Cottage on Admiral.

  • Dinosaur is an 2000 Disney Film.
  • Dinosaur is a 2000 live-action CGI film from Disney.
Dragon bones are often mistaken for dinosaur bones Scientists have found the bones of these hunted beasts, and made the claim of their existence millions of years ago. Obviously this is false. God made everything only a few thousand years ago. Proof may be found at attending your local Creationist museum or by watching reruns of "The Flintstones."
  • They can be divided in five groups; the Angorodon, Ceratadon, Ferothrax, Raptors and Tyrannus.

Dinosaurs were also seen several times by the Browns on their trips to the past in 1991 and 1992, including a Tyrannosaurus rex while visiting the Cretaceous Period. In one alternate timeline, dinosaurs resembled their human counterparts due to continued evolution after Emmett Brown prevented an asteroid impact. Doc and Marty McFly subsequently encountered a Tannensaurus during this time. The following year, Verne brought the egg of an unidentified species of dinosaur back from the past. Hatched in 1992, the baby dinosaur, whom they nicknamed "Tiny", wreaked havoc before it was returned to the prehistoric era from whence it came. On October 21, 2015, Biff Tannen stole the DeLorean time machine. He couldn't figure out how to make it travel through time, so he hit the display of the time circuits with his cane. He is sent into the past, during a time when the land that would be Hill Valley is under the ocean, and dinosaurs roam the Earth. He encounters a velociraptor, which steals the Blast from the Past bag containing the Grays Sports Almanac. Biff hits the raptor in the head with his cane, retrieves the bag, and travels forward in time to November 12, 1955.
(TNG: "Brothers" ) The hadrosaur lived in the Cretaceous period. It was the most highly evolved cold-blooded organism to develop from the Eryops and is believed to have vanished when a mass extinction occurred at the end of the Cretaceous. The hadrosaur was most likely a direct evolutionary predecessor of the Voth. (VOY: "Distant Origin") The skeletons of two prehistoric animals (one definitely a dinosaur, the other most likely a ground sloth) were on display in the Voyager section of the Kyrian Museum of Heritage. A pterodactyl in flight was also on display, hanging from the ceiling. (VOY: "Living Witness") Captain Archer once tauntingly compared the Xindi-Reptilians to dinosaurs, saying that many of them had rather small brains, and weren't smart enough to survive extinction. (ENT: "Azati Prime") Godzilla was a 20th century Earth film about a mutated dinosaur. When Kes and Neelix were monitoring Earth television while the ship was stranded in 1996, one of the six channels they were watching showed an old Godzilla movie. (VOY: "Future's End")
Since the first dinosaur was recognized in the 19th century, mounted, fossilized dinosaur skeletons have become major attractions at museums around the world. Dinosaurs have become a part of world culture and remain consistently popular among children and adults alike. They have been featured in best-selling books and films such as Jurassic Park, and new discoveries are regularly covered by the media. The term dinosaur is sometimes used informally to describe other prehistoric reptiles, such as the pelycosaur Dimetrodon, the winged pterosaurs and the aquatic ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs and mosasaurs, although technically none of these were dinosaurs.
Mammals evolved but remained restricted in numbers; birds appeared and plants transformed completely by evolving flowers - but the dinosaurs strode on. Finally, at the end of the Mesozoic period, 65 million years ago, the second ever mass extinction on our planet occurred which wiped out all living living things except birds and mammals. The modern Cenzoic era opened with a lot of smaller animals, such as mammals and birds these diversified and some returned to their water evolving into whales. Gradually, the rich variety of mammals with which we are familiar today appeared and finally, in the last blink of an eye on this vast time scale, humans evolved from the apes. Some of the earliest dinosaurs include Coelophysis (none of the larger predators existed at this time) Postosuchus, Placerias, Plateosaurus, Cynodont, Peteinosaurus and more. Most dinosaurs lived between 120-85 million years ago such as the Diplodocus, Brachiosaurus, Allosaurus, Tyranosaurus, Velociraptor, Deinochysaurus, Utahraptor, Orinthocheirus, Tapejara, Iberomersonis, Iguanodon, Anurognathus (this dinosaur was no larger than a human hand!) and Dwarf Allosaur. Sometime between 95-75 million years a great flood occured leaving what was once the massive continent of Pangaea in tiny little islands. The Pangael ocean was split in too 3 huge ocans. The smallest one called the Tethy's, another called Boreal and since the name Pangeael still remained as the largest ocean. These 3 oceans are known as The Three First Oceans. It is during this time that sea dinosaurs such as Ophthalmosaurus(the dolphines of the mid jurrasic)Cryptoclidus, liopleurodon , Eustretosspondylus and another small Ptreosaur, Rhamphorhynchus. 60 million years ago the largest volcanic eruption in the entire southern hemisphere occured. This eruption is known as the Elcore eruption and it wiped out almost all the dinosaurs living in the southern hemisphere. Most of the larger dinosaurs began to appear 90 million-65 million years ago such as Spinosaurus Egyptucus, Giganotosaurus (The largest predatory dinosaur ever), Triceratops, Barasaurus (Barasaurus was the largest dinosaur ever discovered), Koolasuchus, Anatotitan, Deinosuchus (This "dinosaur" was actually a crocodile which hunted the dinosaurs!), some of the animals from earlier times still lived on such as the Tyrannosaurus, Velociraptor, Iguanodon and other such dinosaurs. Some of the first birrds appeared during this time and these birds are the ancestor of modern predatory birds such as eagles, falcons and hawks. 65 million years ago the largest comet ever known to this planet struck the earth wiping out all the living things (plants and animals) at the time except mammals, birds and fish. There are 3 periods in the dinosaur timeline: They are the Triassic,Jurrasic,Cretacous and the Meszoic Eras. During the Meszoic ERa, More mammilian forms came out, and dinosaurs began to die out. This was paticularly in the Late Cretacous.

Presumably, in the world of Harry Potter, they may also be related to dragons.

The resulting transformation in the scientific understanding of dinosaurs has gradually filtered into popular consciousness.
Dinosaur cards are most notably played by Rex Raptor, Tyranno Hassleberry, Scorch and Chills. In the Falsebound Kingdom, Dinosaur-Type monsters are treated as Dragon-Type monsters.
While many types of dinosaurs exist, most are carnivores and thus share the same basic traits. Their forelimbs tend to prove ill-suited for combat, so they attack with their horned heads and teeth. They stake out territories and guard them fiercely. (This territorial instinct exists in herbivourus dinosaurs as well, but they tend to more peaceful behavior, attacking only when a creature wounds or threatens them.) Dinosaurs have rough reptilian skin, thick and pebbly in texture. Their coloration varies, but many dinosaurs tend to blend in well with their natural surroundings. As cold-blooded creatures, they avoid areas of extreme temperatures, such as the Arctic regions. Most dinosaurs nest in the Un'Goro Crater and the Sholazar Basin, which possess a pleasing climate as well as abundant territory and prey. One exception is the threshadon, which lives in several places throughout Azeroth. Some dinosaurs make excellent riding mounts. (MG 25)
  • Dinosaurs range in size from the human size to huge size such as ten floors buildings, though, they can be very strong even with small size. They are separated into three major sub groups, Sky, Land and Sea because of their different body structure, habitat and nature transformation. They are born with nature release according to their groups as affinity, such as Sky Dinosaurs will have Wind or Lightning Release, Land Dinosaur will have Earth or Fire Release and Sea Dinosaur will have Water or Earth Release. They are likely to have only one nature transformation because of their special genetic. They are not able to unleash their strength when fighting at place other than his habitat, though, there are some rare dinosaur who possess two or more sub group characteristics and able to fight everywhere. Even in a sub group, they are divided into many species. Example, Tyrannosaurus who is carnivore and aggressive and Ankylosauria who is herbivore and timid. Omnivores dinosaur is likely no exist because they only focus in one type of eating habit. The existence of dinosaur is confirmed via fossils but whether they are still alive or extinct is in doubt in Ninja World.
Several of the species encountered by the Marshalls include a Coelophysis (many named Spot), a Tyrannosaurus rex named Grumpy, an Allosaurus named Big Alice and her son, Junior, a Triceratops named Spike, a female Brontosaurus named Emily and her baby, Dopey. Other non-dinosaurs creatures encountered were Pteranodons, Dimetrodons and theSleestak.
In "Future Smurfed", a baby T-Rex was found by the Smurflings which they named Little Thunder. The baby came to be when Lord Balthazar used Father Time's sickle to open a hole in the fabric of time which led into the ancient past. Little Thunder eventually became sick in the present so the Smurfs sought out Father Time and rescued him from Balthazar's castle. Father Time then sent Little Thunder back to his own time. A Triceratops named Crinkles was a main dinosaur character in the Season 9 episode "The Smurfs That Time Forgot" and was the last of the dinosaurs due to having escaped extinction by being frozen in ice. He was later taken back to his own time with the aid of the Time Scrolls. Other dinosaurs and the earliest birds were also encountered by the Smurfs during their time travel adventures. In the comic book story "The Smurfosaures", Paleontologist Smurf and Nosey Smurf discover a dinosaur skeleton with two eggs. One of the eggs hatched, a harmless little Brachiosaurus comes out and meets them.
Crocodilians are the only sister group alive of the dinosaurs. The closest extinct group were the Pterosaurs. The word dinosaur itself derives from the Greek and means "terrible lizard". In 1993 InGen Company found some bones of dinosaurs and took DNA sample from them and recreated dinosaurs. It is unknown if dinosaurs were cold or warm blooded, but according to the Jurassic World website InGen's dinosaur clones are both hot and cold blooded, with carnivores being warm blooded and the herbivores being cold blooded. The term "dinosaur" is also popularly applied to many prehistoric animals that are not taxonomically classified as such, including mosasaurs, ichthyosaurs, pterosaurs, plesiosaurs, and Dimetrodon. This is frowned upon in scientific writing, but persists in the media and in everyday speech.

Though the ride ties in with the Disney movie of the same name, it was opened before the release of the film. Originally named Countdown to Extinction, the ride's name was later changed to "Dinosaur". The attraction is similar to Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California and also Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull at Tokyo DisneySea in Japan.

  • A dinosaur was a large reptile which roamed the Earth millions of years before the time of Indiana Jones and thought to be the origin of the dragon legends.
  • Dinosaurs are reptilian creatures that have existed on multiple planets, including Earth and Mobius. They have become extinct on most worlds, but several species (and the related pterosaurs) remain on Mobius. The most often seen beasts are the Kohenyu - huge dinosaurs that lived in peace on the Floating Island before being hunted to extinction by the ancient echidna tribe - and a pterodactyl herd raised on the Mobian Prairie. Pterodactyls and a species of dromeosaur were also used by the echidnas. Society Max is a character who posed as a respectable lizard, but would transform into a ferocious dinosaur when fed a Mandrake root. A large carnosaur was part of an illegal race that the Babylon Rogues took part in. Robotnik modelled Mekanik and Rexon after the great beasts. In another world, Shion ventured to Dinotown in Ghost World to fight dinosaurs that had become ghosts but weren't keen on resting anytime soon. Most significantly, Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary discovered that life on both Mobius and on many other worlds was created by "dinosaurs in spacesuits" - billions of years before dinosaurs evolved, and with the suggestion that the dinosaurs are working for God.
