Desjardin's career as a command officer gave her skills at administration, leadership and diplomacy. Desjardin was also competent at strategy and tactics, negotiation and as an astro-navigator. Besides a working knowledge of weapons and markmanship, Desjardin's skills with technology included computers and environmental suit and she was accomplished as a student of physics.
