| Info | - Slowpoke was found in the Orange Islands and evolved just before the league. It's known moves are Surf and Psychic.
- Tyrantrum was revived as a fossil into a Tyrunt and it was too scared to battle. It then evolved into Tyrantrum after Jack was defeated by a rampaging Noivern. It's known moves are Outrage, Head Smash, Crunch and Dragon Tail.
- Whismur was very powerful so it evolved quickly. Exploud was too powerful for Jake's team and it would often attack him. It's known moves are Boomburst, Crunch, Fire Fang and Focus Blast.
- Jake found Sandshrew after it was playing tricks with him and the others. It was soon captured and evolved into a Sandslash. It's known moves are Dig, Rollout, Slash and Rapid Spin.
- Eevee was given to Jake as a thank you from Officer Jenny. It then later evolved into Jolteon to hold off articuno. It's known moves are Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Pin Missile and Shadow Ball.
- Teddiursa was found following Jake so he decided to capture it. It evolved because it kept on losing so many battles. It's known moves are Hyper Beam, Slash, Shadow Claw and Swords Dance.
- Meowth was found and captured but was never really used much. It's only known move in Fury Swipes.
- Jack first got Arcanine as an egg and it hatched into growlithe when Team Rocket tried to steal it. It then later evolved into and Arcanine after beating Blaine's Arcanine in the gym battle. It's known moves are Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Wild Charge and Extreme Speed.
- Bulbasaur was found, injured in the wild. Jake quickly helped it and it joined his team. It's known moves are Solar Beam, Razor Leaf, Poison Powder and Leech Seed.
- After being caught randomly as a wurmple, it evolved into cascoon and then dustox. It wasn't used much. It's known moves are Confusion, Tackle, String Shot and Harden.
- Pyroar is one of Jack's shinies and found him as a litleo that was being bullied by other litleo. It later evolved to help defeat Valerie. It's known moves are Flamethrower, Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam and Snarl.
- Snorunt was found shivering so Jake looked after it. He never officially caught it until Sinnoh where it evovled into Froslass. It's known moves are Ice Beam, Ice Shard, Shadow Ball and Destiny Bond.
- Chinchou was found wanting to play with Jake so he caught it. It then found out that it had a lot of power so it evolved to take advantage of it. It's known moves are Discharge and Scald.
- Jake found squirtle as a member of the Squirtle Squad after their leader was taken away by another trainer. It then evolved into a wartortle to beat Stephan's Scyther. It evolved a second time to learn Hydro Cannon. It's known moves are Hydro Cannon, Scald, Ice Beam and Dragon Pulse.
- Magikarp was sold to Jake and soon evolved but it never listened to him afterwards. It's known moves are Hydro Pump and Dragon Rage.
- Politoed was first found as a poliwag however it was only used fr a couple of episodes. It was later brought back in Unova and evolved to help defeat some tympole. It evolved into politoed after it found a Kings Rock. It's known moves are Bubblebeam, Headbutt, Lick and Hypnosis.
- Chesnaught was chosen by Jack as a chespin when he entered Kalos. Chespin later evolved into quilladin when facing Team Rocket. It then evolved again when battling one of the Team Flare admins. It's known moves are Spiky Shield, Needle Arm, Pin Missile and Hammer Arm.
- Totodile was Jake's starter in the Johto region. It evolved after beating Silver and it evolved again to save Jake. It's known moves are Waterfall, Aqua Jet, Crunch and Dragon Claw.
- Jack caught Fletchling as his first capture in Kalos. It disobeyed him at first but after it evolved to beat Team Rocket, it listened. It then evolved again to take down Olympia. It's known moves are Flare Blitz, Brave Bird, Quick Attack and Steel Wing.
- Cyndaquil was caught after it followed Jake out of the lab. It evolved to defeat Team Rocket. It's known moves are Flame Wheel, Swift, Quick Attack and Smokescreen.
- Togepi was saved and caught from pokemon smugglers. It wasn't powerful so it wasn't used much but it came back in Sinnoh to where it evolved twice. It's known moves are Dazzling Gleam, Air Cutter, Ancient Power and Tri Attack,
- Lotad was caught accidentally and used it. It then evolved to protect itself and then stole a water stone and evolved with it. It's known moves are Surf, Giga Drain, Rain Dance and Ice Beam.
- Muk was abandoned by Team Rocket so Jake decided to take it in. It's known moves are Sludge Bomb, Body Slam and minimize.
- Numel was found after being injured by Team Aqua. Jake caught it and it evolved to take down some Aqua grunts. It's known moves are Eruption, Earthquake, Flamethrower and Rock Slide.
- Chikorita kept by Jake for two episodes until he finally decided to catch it. It evolved into Bayleef to beat Robert. It's known moves are Razor Leaf, Sleep Powder, and Solar Beam.
- Raichu was found as a pikachu, lost in the wild. It evolved to take on Erika's victreebel even though grass resisted electric. It has been called many times to help Jake. It's known moves are thunderbolt, Iron Tail, Quick Attack and Thunder.
- Yanma was Jake's second shiny. It was caught after rescuing it from Team Rocket. It returned in Sinnoh to help with the Sinnoh league where it evolved.
- Cawitzer was found as a clauncher when Jack saved it from an angry sharpedo. It then evolved into Clawitzer after encountering the same Sharpedo. It's known moves are Water Pulse, Ice Beam, Dragon Pulse and Aqua Jet
- Tyrogue hatched out of an egg and soon evolved into a hitmonlee to defeat Sonya's Granbull. It's known moves are High Jump Kick, Rapid Spin, Fake Out and Focus Energy.
