Esto sucedería finalmente en el evento Elimination Chamber, donde interfirió dándole un tubo metálico a DiBiase para que pudiese eliminar a Orton del combate.9 Sin embargo la noche siguiente en Raw, Orton les abandonó y atacó durante un 6 Man Tag Team Match, por lo que la semana siguiente DiBiase & Rhodes atacaron a Orton en venganza a aquello.
