  • Noth Daagin was an Iktotchi male member of the Jedi Order in the decades following the Alsakan Crisis. While he was a Jedi Padawan, the Jedi Order split in two following the Conclave on Ossus. Daagin decided to remain with the Jedi, believing that the path of the Ospion Guardians, a rogue order of Jedi created in the aftermath of the schism, was one of inevitable destruction. Daagin was also loyal to and respectful of the Galactic Republic, despite his belief that his homeworld, Iktotch, should not join the Republic. After becoming a Jedi Knight, Daagin took Adrian Bac, the son of the assassinated Supreme Chancellor Relana Isolde Tanoor and then-Supreme Chancellor Alcor Bac, and taught him what Bac later said was everything he ever knew about the Jedi and the Force. During this time, Daagin remained a vocal proponent of sending out hunting parties to find the Ospion, who had fled the known galaxy following the Alsakan war. However, the Jedi High Council decreed that the Ospion would not be considered a threat and forbid the Jedi from searching for them, which infuriated Daagin. Despite the Council's stance, Daagin nearly disobeyed the direct edict in order to search for the Ospion, but he came to believe that such an action would be a mistake. Rather than launching a search, Daagin instead decided to teach Bac and other students of the continued threat of the Ospion, whom he believed were in conflict with the Jedi Order's goals of peace in the galaxy.
