The ability fatigued him when he used it. If he used it too powerfully, it may have even drained him completely and killed him. However, it is assumed that by now he has been taught to control the ability, and now never accesses it.

Notes
  • A strong spell, only problem is the range, because you need to stay in the same direction as your enemy, so at some times it's hard to aim it. This spell is very useful in areas such as Calassa, Frozen Trench , Formogar Glacier, and the Factory Quarter. It has the same manacost, cooldown, and damage formula as the Druid's Strong Ice Wave.

Such techniques have since made appearances in almost every video game spun off by the series. In essence, energy waves are a type of technique where their user utilizes an assortment of ki-based waves, cast from (but not limited to) their palms, fingertips, eyes or mouth. The color of the aura they emit varies between users (for example, Kamehamehas launched by various users have ranged in color between blue, red and yellow). The most commonly seen energy waves in the series are the Kamehameha and Continuous Energy Bullets. Some of these waves can also home in on their targets, and with enough energy, their power, speed, force and size can be augmented. These attacks are capable of being improved as their users' concentration becomes more adept or they assume some type of transformation.
  • Energy Wave is a Magnus in Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean.
