  • The local Town Crier at Beregost is busy announcing that the town's Governor, Kelddath Ormlyr, has put a bounty on the head of Bassilus. The bounty stands at 5000 GP. Anyone wishing to claim the bounty should report to Kelddath in the Song of the Morning Temple, with proof that Bassilus is dead. Once Basillus has been killed, he calls out praise and thanks for you and your party, even before talking with Kelddath and claiming the bounty bounty.
  • Every major town in Arelith has a town crier. These individuals will relay a message for a number of In-Game hours in their local area, or throughout the entire network of criers for a small fee. Characters may have multiple messages in the town crier system, and all messages will persist through a server reset.
  • Town Criers would travel around and hit a gong, announcing the news of the day. The information in Rokugan would often run through town criers, and they were often hired to scream advertisements for local businesses.
  • A town crier, often shorten as crier (also stylized as cryer), is an officer who makes public pronouncements as required by the court. The crier can also be used to make public announcements in the streets.
  • According to the Varrock Census in the library, the name of the Varrock town crier is Gryff Aldock. Players can know they are near one if they have sound on by the bell ring they make. When a player moderator in-game talks to a town crier, they have access to a few more questions to ask him. These are likely to be player moderator-related questions. The Town crier in East Ardougne is one of the NPCs you can start the Ardougne Tasks by talking to, and will give you the Ardougne cloak 2 as a reward for completing the medium tasks. If you lose the cloak, you can talk to him for another.
  • Town Crier was a virtual representation of one of Ezio Auditore's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.
  • The Town Crier can be found near the Market in Betancuria North. The latest news can be learned from him for a gold coin.
  • The Town Crier spread the latest news in Ascalon City.
  • Town criers are mobs located in many cities and towns which offer simple quests designed to help newer players learn the surrounding area by providing monetary rewards for the completion of assigned tasks, which involve the finding and returning of some item to the crier mob.
  • The Town Crier was an NPC in Youreeka and Zorillo Plaza. He gave a mission to repair a broken BroomBot.

  • A Town Crier is a man located in most major cities in Fable II, whom you can buy different titles from. If you meet certain prerequisites, some of the titles that a Town Crier offers will become free. The Town Crier also announces when shops close, when shops open, and the time of the day, also if the player has chosen to change their name, and sometimes if people are nearby they will either agree or disagree with the choice dependant on your weight and good/evil status. They also appear in Fable III, however they no longer sell titles.

  • Located in almost every town, Town Criers are excellent sources for recent news and happenings such as clues to new Quests. Criers have things to share just talking to them, but the more interesting tidbits are reserved for those who make donations (in cold hard pyreal coins). Be warned though, Town Criers consider anything given to them as a gift, so should you accidentally pass your shiny new Celdon Breastplate of Uberness to a Town Crier, it will never be seen again. The benefit to their avariciousness is it allows the disposal of unwanted items that cannot otherwise be dropped because they are attuned. Indeed the name has become a verb, meaning to get rid of something in this manner.
