  • Wisp is an offensive sub-weapon that appears in The 2nd Runner. It is obtained by the player from Ardjet after deleting and destroying the Viola A.I.. The Wisp allows the user to grab objects from a distance, throwing out three small bits which latch on to a target and return it to the user. The Wisp sub-weapon also makes an appearance in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, as the "Hand of Jehuty" bionic arm.   • Wisps come into existence when someone dies in pain and fear in the bogs. Being an insubstantial spirit, they roam the bogs and swamps, unable to leave them. Without noticing, their light often lures unsuspecting wanderers into the bog who mistake them for the lights of a nearby village. Wisps are rather timid and try to flee whenever a human is in sight. While trying to escape, they lure those unlucky souls deeper and deeper into the bog. In the treacherous swamps, such encounters can even end deadly.
  • The light of Wisps is blinding and confusing if you look at it directly. They are quite fast, but whoever gets too close will experience that a Wisp's touch drains the life force from all living creatures. However, as they will always try to escape, they only pose a small threat to humans.

Strategy
  • Paladins: Run while shooting with arrows, bolts, spears or royal spears. Try to stay away from their Drunkenness Bomb. If your level is high enough, you can also use Divine Missile to get rid of them faster.
  • Druids: Use ice-based attacks. Ice Wave is very effective against these creatures. Don't be afraid of their melee, since it usually doesn't make high hits. It probably isn't worth the trouble, but they will annoy you, so kill them fast.

  • Wisp is an offensive sub-weapon that appears in The 2nd Runner. It is obtained by the player from Ardjet after deleting and destroying the Viola A.I.. The Wisp allows the user to grab objects from a distance, throwing out three small bits which latch on to a target and return it to the user. The Wisp sub-weapon also makes an appearance in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, as the "Hand of Jehuty" bionic arm. Eventually, and by accident, it was discovered that the wisps were unable to penetrate the osmium alloy of the hatchway into Enterprise's catwalk. As a result, the crew took refuge in the catwalk while they attempted to formulate a means to defeat the invaders. When the wisps attempted to enter T'Pol, she was able to repel them with her mental discipline, at which point she discovered that they were lying, and were intending to take over the ship, as their own ship was breaking down and they possessed no way to repair it. Finally, it was discovered that the "wisps" could be expelled by suffocating the Human hosts with carbon dioxide. Phlox flooded the ship with CO2 and freed all the crew of the wisps' influence. Enterprise quickly pulled away from their ship and destroyed it by firing two spatial torpedoes into the interior of the ship. (ENT: "The Crossing") In the final draft script of "The Crossing", these aliens were initially referred to as "wisps of VAPOR" which were referred to as "darting" in movement.   • Wisp is an ally of Zev Raregroove. Little to nothing is known about her, but it has been shown that she is capable of levitating and seems to be partially schizophrenic. She also appears to be very focused on pleasing Zev, and at the Battle of Conquistadores Guild vs. Apprentices of Caiaphus, she panicked then became quite depressed at the mere thought that Zev might become disappointed in her. Wisp was assigned to find the 'Verdant Testament', but it is unknown what exactly it is or whatever function it might serve. It appears as a green stone shaped like an elongated hexagon with carved wings. As of now, Wisp has retrieved the Verdant Testament, although it is unknown where she took it. Wisp is currently with Zev's group fighting the Yellow Powers. After Zev was injured by Nabonidus and the group was surrounded by Nightmares resembling flightless birds, Wisp took control of the situation and immediately launched a counterassault to protect him while he recuperated. By now, they have defeated the Nightmares and the Yellow Powers on the planet and have entered Vi's ship to move onto their next destination.

If only one player harvests from it, ~3-14 memories can be expected from one enriched wisp. Memories from other tiers work. However, there is a cap to how many players can extend one enriched wisp's timer. For unknown reasons, a wisp colony may sometimes line up at one edge of the area, and are only "unlocked" from the position when a player comes near. Notable wisps that do this include glowing and brilliant wisps, which line up on the north side, radiant wisps that line up on the east side, and luminous wisps that line up on the west side.

  • Wisp (also called Lumina) is the Mana Spirit of Light. She appears as a ghostly creature comprised of light and resembles the will-o'-the-wisp from which her name is derived. Her powers are somewhat varied, with lasers, orbs of holy power, barriers against attack, and other powers that could be seen traditionally as "divine retribution", with the addition of healing spells (formerly Undine's domain). In many of her appearances, she often appears as cheerful and optimistic but doesn't get along with Shade. Her personality is the opposite of Dryad, who is more pessimistic and lacks confidence.
