- Ranger Ruth is the park ranger of Rainbow Rock State Park, a dinosaur museum, who appears in "Buster's Dino Dilemma". She also makes a cameo in D.W.'s Deer Friend. She enjoys hosting an exhibition show about the Mesozoic era with dinosaurs and also acts as a tour guide around the park. She is good friends with Mr. Ratburn who took all of his students on the field trip to the museum.

It was days before the town's Tiend, a tithe offering to The Forgotten Ones. She explained to Al how the devils were reminders to the town to always be aware the devil is watching them.

Spawn slept for two days straight before waking up and realizing Ruth and the rest of the town were at the Tiend. When spot spotted Ruth next, she was leading the event and led the human sacrifice to the location where the Forgotten Ones would accept the girl. Spawn stopped the event and returned the girl to the town, which was once again a ghost town.

The LORD bestow that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband!" Then she kissed them, and they lifted up their pipes and wept. 10. And they said to her, "No, we will come back with you to your folk." 11. But Naomi said, "Wend back, my daughters; why will ye go with me? Have I yet sons in my womb that they may become your husbands? 12. Wend back, my daughters; go your way, for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say I have hope, even if I should have a husband this night and should bear sons, 13. would ye therefore bide till they were grown? Would you therefore forbear from wedding? No, my daughters, for it is overly bitter to me for your sake that the hand of the LORD hath gone out against me." 14. Then they lifted up their pipes and wept again. And Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her. 15. And she said, "See, thy sister-in-law has gone back to her folk and to her gods; come back after thy sister-in-law." 16. But Ruth said, "Do not bid me leave thee or come back from following thee. For whither thou goest I will go, and where thou dwellest I will dwell. Thy folk shall be my folk, and thy God my God. 17. Where thou diest I will die, and there will I be buried. May the LORD do so to me and more also if anything but death splits me from thee." 18. And when Naomi saw that she was steadfast to go with her, she said no more. 19. So the two of them went on until they came to Bethlehem. And when they came to Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred owing to them. And the women said, "Is this Naomi?" 20. She said to them, "Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt highly bitterly with me. 21. I went away full, and the LORD has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi, when the LORD has witnessed against me and the Almighty has brought reck upon me?" 22. So Naomi came back, and Ruth the Moabite her daughter-in-law with her, who came back from the kith of Moab. And they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest. Head 2 1. Now Naomi had a kin of her husband's, a worthy man of the household of Elimelech, whose name was Boaz. 2. And Ruth the Moabite said to Naomi, "Let me go to the field and gather among the ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find est." And she said to her, "Go, my daughter." 3. So she set out and went and gathered in the field after the reapers, and she happened to come to the share of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the household of Elimelech. 4. And behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem. And he said to the reapers, "The LORD be with you!" And they answered, "The LORD bless you." 5. Then Boaz said to his young man who was in headship of the reapers, "Whose young woman is this?" 6. And the bondman who was in headship of the reapers answered, "She is the young Moabite woman, who came back with Naomi from the kith of Moab. 7. And also pull out some from the bundles for her and leave it for her to gather, and do not scold her." 17. So she gathered in the field until evening. Then she beat out what she had gathered, and it was about an ephah of barley. 18. And she took it up and went into the burg. Her mother-in-law saw what she had gathered. She also brought out and gave her what food she had left over after being slaked. 19. And her mother-in-law said to her, "Where did you gather today? And where have you worked? So she kept near to the young women of Boaz, gathering until the end of the barley and wheat harvests. And she lived with her mother-in-law. Head 3 1. Then Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, "My daughter, should I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you? 2. Is not Boaz our kin, with whose young women you were? See, he is winnowing barley tonight at the threshing floor. 3. Then Boaz said, "The day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you also get Ruth the Moabite, the widow of the dead, that to keep on the name of the dead in his birthright." 6. Then the gainbuyer said, "I cannot gainbuy it for myself, lest I harm my own birthright. Take my right of gainbuying yourself, for I cannot gainbuy it." 7. Now this was the folkway in former times in Israel about gainbuying and swaping: to make fast a throughdeed, the one drew off his shoe and gave it to the other, and this was the folkway of witnessing in Israel. 8. May the LORD make the woman, who is coming into your house, like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the house of Israel. So Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife. And he went in to her, and the LORD gave her bearing, and she bore a son. 14. Then the women said to Naomi, "Blessed be the LORD, who has not left you this day without a gainbuyer, and may his name be nameknown in Israel! 15. He shall be to you a againnewer of life and a helper of your old age, for your daughter-in-law who loves you, who is more to you than seven sons, has given birth to him." 16. Then Naomi took the child and laid him on her lap and became his carer. 17. And the women of the neighborhood gave him a name, saying, "A son has been born to Naomi." They named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David. 18. Now these are the broods of Perez: Perez fathered Hezron, 19. Hezron fathered Ram, Ram fathered Amminadab, 20. Amminadab fathered Nahshon, Nahshon fathered Salmon, 21. Salmon fathered Boaz, Boaz fathered Obed, 22. Obed fathered Jesse, and Jesse fathered David.

So, Earl along with Randy chaperoned Greta on her way to explore the world outside her home and only showed bad things in life, and if Earl succeed in Greta's journey and bring her back to Ruth, he would cross the Camdenites off his list and their community would be saved. But unfortunately Earl was dealing with his wife Billie who was getting fed up with his list and felt that Earl wasn't giving her the attention she wanted, she then stole his list after she assaulted him, and then began wreaking havoc on all the modern local camdenites before they all formed an angry mob. She even kidnapped Greta from under Randy (who was supposedly watching her but was so smitten with her cuteness since he's in love with her) and gave Earl one last chance to choose between her and the list before he finally says yes out of reluntance. But Billie came to Earl without bringing Greta back to the Camdenite Village, she was confronted by the police and Earl's exwife who called them to arrest her. She then ran into hiding in the village from the police and Camden's angry mob (knowingly that the Camden police couldnt arrest her there because the Camdenites' village is legally a sovereign land and the authorities tried to keep it underwraps, otherwise all other criminals would hide out there), and warned Earl that she'd be coming for him before she disappeared into the village. Billie returned to the motel to see Earl who was there with Randy and his new girlfriend Greta (Randy had been hiding Greta during the situation with Billie), yet came back a changed woman. After she exlpained to Earl why she was carrying an ax because all Camdenite women must carry them for protection (even though Billie suggested pepper spray but they don't believe in spray or pepper). She told him the whole story about what happened to her at the Camdenite Village: at first, the Camdenites including their matriach Ruth didn't have a problem letting someone hide out in their village, just not having somebody who's unwilling doing any work. She even found something where she can let out all her anger when she was working in the cropfields alongside other Camdenite men and women. And when Billie fell back to her stealing ways, it didn't work because all Camdenite property is shared as Ruth says "You can have it" to Billie who was caught trying to steal a silver hairbrush. And she was used to being selfish like at dinnertime, she realized it's hard being greedy around a group of people who were so happy to give. And while doing fieldwork on the crops, Billie even sings her favorite song "Country Roads, Take Me Home" with Ruth and the whole Camdenite people joining in, knowing that Billie herself found where she bolngs. So, Ruth and the Camdenites with their peaceful lifestyle and communal virtues have helped Billie find her real self. Not only Billie forgave herself and gave Earl his list along with a new reward before moving on, Earl too was forgiven by the Camdenites now he can cross #204 off his list.
- Ruth appears in Red Sky in the Morning. She and Dylan murdered a women and imitate Red John signatures. She is killed by Red John himself because he can't tolerate a cheap imitation of his work.
- Ruth was Prince Charming's doting and loving mother. A simple woman from a humble background, Ruth and her husband's poverty drove them to make a deal with the fearsome Rumplestiltskin, resulting in them giving him one of their newborn twin sons, who was in turn given to King George. The other son grew up to become known as Prince Charming, and found love in the heart of Snow White. However, before he could introduce her to his mother, Ruth fell victim to a stray arrow during an attack and ultimately perished, sacrificing herself in lieu of her son being able to have a child.
- Not much is known about Ruth, except that she was a test subject at New Hope when she was fifteen years old. She suffered from strange effects during the experimentation, such as screaming in the night, sudden changes in behavior, hair growing slowly in, and constant growth of fingernails. Other effects of the experiments included pain from her joints swelling and erratic behavior. She likely either became a Sire or was one of "children" test subjects taken to Mount Kadar when the New Hope program was shut down.
- Ruth was a female Human civilian in the 23rd century. In 2252, while attending Starfleet Academy, cadet James T. Kirk became romantically involved with Ruth. In 2267, the USS Enterprise discovered the Shore Leave Planet, an artificial world where complex machinery could bring fantasies to life. After he picked up a flower, Kirk, now a captain, thought of his long-lost love. Reading his thoughts, the planet computer created a robot that was a duplicate of Ruth. (TOS: "Shore Leave" ) Ruth, or rather, her facsimile was played by Shirley Bonne. The character was not, however, cast as she was described in the final draft of the script, which defined her as "A truly beautiful girl with long black hair. Her whole aspect is gentle, warm, welcoming." Lines spoken by Ruth that were ultimately cut from the final draft of the script clarified what had happened between the two, stating "You thought you'd lost me, didn't you – after graduation, after your first star cruise...?"
- Ruth est l'ex-fiancée de Desmond qui apparaît dans les flashbacks de l'épisode L'Effet papillon. Ruth est la sœur de Derek et était la petite amie de Desmond durant six ans.
