  • Each game has status effects that affect your Medabot.
  • Effects which take place to inform the player something happened, are status effects.
  • The next Bloons Tower Defense game will have many types of status effects that can be caused in different ways and last for different amounts of time. Depending on the type, these may affect towers or special agents (or both), and may be positive or negative. Examples of status effects include Poisoned (a negative effect), Immune (a positive effect), Guilty Conscience (a negative effect); but there are more as well. Some items and gear cause status effects, but this is not the only way they can be caused.
  • Status Effects, once inflicted on a player or mob, last for a certain amount of time, imparting various (primarily damage-oriented) effects on those afflicted by them.
  • A status effect changes the current state (or normal state) of it's target. Effects can be beneficial such as the spell Speeda, which increases the speed that the target performs an action, or detrimental such as the spell Poison which causes the target to take periodic damage every turn. Such effects are referred to as Status Ailments. For every Ailment there is a cure either in the form of an item or in that of spell. All Status Effects, good and bad, are removed at the end of battle.
  • Certain Skills leave Status Effects, damaging or penalising the target. The effects are temporary and remove themselves after a period of time. Some of the Status Effects are rather special in that they affect your controls:
  • Status Effects (AKA Potion Effects) are effects that can benefit or harm Mobs and the Player. The first few Status Effects were added in Update 0.11.0.
  • Status effects, also known as abnormal conditions (状態異常 abnormal conditions?), and special damage (特殊ダメージ special damage?), are effects that temporary modify a character's status, either in a positive or negative way. It appears in several Mega Man games, specially in the Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Star Force series.
  • Some element type attacks from folks can cause status effects. Sleep, Charm, Bond and Thunder will stop your character from moving or attacking for a short period of time. To remove an effect, quickly rotate the left anolog stick. Other than avoiding these attacks, some Cloaks will offer protection.
  • Status Effects are special effects that create a lingering, temporary change to the affected target's stats. Status Buffs refer to positive changes while Status Debuffs refer to negative changes. Status Effects can almost always stack for increased power, meaning having multiple players attempt to stack a single effect may prove to make a major difference. Some Status Effects can only be found on specific Monsters. Most Status Effects are afflicted by various player or enemy monster abilities. All Status Effects are removed upon the completion of Quests and Battles.
  • Status effects can disable or buff an unit (or party) depending on their nature. Offensive status effects can be considered disabilities since they effectively disable the enemy. Beneficiary status effects can be considered as buffs that increases the strength of the unit (or party). This page will go over all status effects available in game.
  • Status Effects are ailments that Pokémon can receive during battle. These status conditions are paralysis, poison, sleep, frozen, and burn. All these effects can be cured with a Lum Berry, a Full Heal, a Full Restore, a Lava Cookie, an Old Gateau, Heal Powder, a Miracle Berry, a Casteliacone, or Sacred Ash. Pokémon with the Synchronize ability can pass any status effect, apart from the sleep and frozen conditions, inflicted on them back to the Pokémon that inflicted the status effect.
  • Status Effects are effects that affect the player's status in The World. There are effects that affect stat values (such as attack or defense) and effects that can cause the player to act strangely (such as attacking allies or being unable to move). A player's vulnerability to bad status effects depends on the body or spirit stat. Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
  • Status Effects are a game mechanic in Demon's Souls. As a general rule, status effects are an anomalous circumstance of a player, NPC, or enemy's status, possibly indicated by a special aura or, in the case of the player, an icon below the Stamina bar, as well as being temporary or reversible. One exception is Soul Drain, which is technically only reversible by leveling up to make up for the loss.
  • Various Seru, monsters and bosses have at least one ability that inflicts some kind of debuff, which are: * Venom * Toxic * Rot * Stone * Numb
  • Status Effects are effects which can affect Sora, his allies, or even enemies. Status effects can be caused by enemy attacks, magic, or sleights.
  • There are five different Status effects in Hellgate: London; Ignite, Phase, Poison, Shock and Stun. In order to apply a status effect to an enemy the player must first deal the corresponding damage to the enemy. In addition to this the player must also have some equipment that gives + to the particular status effect strength.
  • From Monster Hunter 3 onward, certain monster attacks can inflict Hunters with status effects known collectively as Blights. The higher the Element Resistance on your armor against the corresponding Element, the less likely the Blight will be inflicted upon being hit. A low Element Resistance means the Blight effect will be more potent and proportionally more damage will be received from the attack. The Severe versions of Blights will last longer, and they can all be negated with the skill Blightproof. Shakalakas or Felyne Comrades cannot be affected by Blights.
  • Status Effects come in various forms and can be beneficial, hurtful, or both.
  • Status Effects bring positive or negative effects on creatures. The related icons can be seen on Gorion's Ward or Companions portraits in party. They can be gained from items, spells, potions, creatures' attacks, traps, quests or even the mere passage of time (fatigue).
  • The Status Effects are: Critical, Knockback, Stagger, Burn, Sleep, Freeze, Poison, and Tumble.
  • Status Effects are conditions that can help or hurt in battle. Mario, his partners, and his enemies can all be affected by them. A list of possible status changes is below.
  • __NoTOC__ Your status effects are displayed in the lower left corner of the screen, above the mini map. Not to be confused with hexes/blessings (displayed in lower right corner and character sheet). NPC status effects may be displayed over their head as a small icon. Death is a cure for all status effects. Many will wear off on their own after many turns. When riding, only Weight status effects will affect speed; a tired, starving rider still has full speed as long as their mount is not slowed down. Sleep, paralysis, and unconsciousness will still stop a rider.
  • Status Effects are (Normally) Conditions that can affect your Pokemon in different ways. Commonly known examples are Poison, Sleep, and Paralysis. Status Effects are usually caused by the Opponent's moves, Ex. the move Toxic may cause poisoning, Sing may cause Sleep, And Thunder Wave may cause Paralysis. Status effects may be Lifted or prevented by moves like Refresh(Lifts all Status Effects), or Safeguard(Prevents status Effects for 2-5 turns), Or abilities like Natural Cure(Heals status effects when switched out)Or Limber(Prevents Paralysis) Most status effects are kept after battles end.
  • Primary Planet: Deep Jungle Remedy: Anti-Poison reduces Poison value by 50% Effect: Depletes at rate of 1% per second, dealing [ceiling(total percent / 50)] each time it depletes. That is, Poison deals 1 damage per tick while total Poison is less than 50%, 2 damage per tick while total is between 50% and 100%, 3 damage per tick while total is between 100% and 150%, and so on. • Status effects are adverse conditions that can affect hunters in (mostly) negative ways. Status effects can result from the special abilities of some monsters, from traps, from some techniques, from Mags, or from certain weapons. Most status effects wear off over time; Paralysis and Poison are the only exceptions as they stay in effect until cured. The effects of all status effects are frozen on Pioneer II.
  • When the player's character takes a certain type of damage, it's reduced (or increased) by X% depending on his resistance for that damage type: File:SOC Protect Icon Imp.png Impact – Reduces damage caused by fall damage and physical impacts. Also includes damage caused by the springboard anomaly. File:SOC Protect Icon Rupt.png Rupture – Resistance to wounds opening and the severity of wounds. Bullet damage, impacts, and included. File:SOC Protect Icon Expl.png Explosion – Resistance to damage caused by grenades, launchers, and other types of explosions (i.e. barrels, gas bottles, grenades etc.)
  • Status Effects can be caused by a multitude of causes. Status effects, as the name would suggest, affect the status of members of the party. There are a range of positive status effects, and also a range of detrimental effects, and can affect your ability to fight, move, the amount of Action Points that you have in battle, whether you can cast Mage of Priest spells, and many more, or they can make you move faster, be blessed, do more damage, etc. Negative Status Effects include: Positive Status Effects include: 1. * Blessed: 1. * Hasted: 1. * Strength: 1. * Shielding:

Description
  • The Hunter is immobilized by Tar, similar to Webbed. If the Hunter does not free themselves from the tar, it will explode and damage them.
  • Some monsters have the potential to put Hunters to Sleep. It is similar to Paralysis in that it leaves the Hunter unable to do anything. However, damage taken when asleep is greatly increased and will end the status after one hit. The duration of Sleep can be increased, decreased, or negated altogether with an appropriate skill. Starting in Monster Hunter 3 on, one does not immediately fall asleep when Sleep is inflicted. Instead, the Hunter will become drowsy allowing an Energy Drink to be used if the player is fast enough, negating the effect before falling asleep. Any non-Sleep inducing monster attack will wake up the Hunter again, and also those from fellow Hunters or Felyne/Shakalaka comrades. Leaving the area also appears to rid the Hunter of the status, but it's uncommon to recieve this whilst close enough to an exit.
  • When hit by a monster's Thunder attack, Hunters may experience Thunderblight. It increases the chances of being stunned from attacks, making it even harder to break free from a monster's repeated attacks.
  • Reverses the Hunter's movement controls , interfering with evasion and positioning for attacks.
  • An extremely rare status effect where a Hunter's Stamina is dropped to its lowest level and they become unable to use most Stamina restoring items. Fatigue is indicated visually by green clouds rising from the Hunter. In Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, only Chameleos' spit attack can inflict this status. In Monster Hunter 4, the Tetsucabra and Seltas' fluid attacks will momentarily drop current Stamina to zero, but it will restore normally over time.
  • When hit by a monster's Dragon attack, Hunters may experience Dragonblight. It lowers weapon Affinity by 50% in Monster Hunter 3, but in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate it removes the Element/Status from the player's weapon and has no effect on Affinity. This is the only blight effect that doesn't appear in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.
  • Immobilizes the Hunter and causes them to randomly do the Laughter, Dance, or Ballerina gestures.
  • The affected Hunter loses the ability to talk or chat in the game.
  • A stronger version of Poison that reduces health at a faster rate.
  • Makes Felynes and Melynxes in the area to attack those affected. This status effect is shown as pink smoke and can only be inflicted with an exploding Felvine Bomb. Felynes and Melynxes will dance, encircle, and then jump at anything carrying the bomb's scent. Monsters as well as Hunters can be affected. When used on the Felynes or Melynxes themselves, they become intoxicated and unable to move normally. Wears off with time.
  • A dreaded status effect that completely immobilizes for a certain period of time, leaving the victim helpless. Upon being Paralyzed, the Hunter will fall down on their face and yellow sparks of lightning will be seen passing through their body. The duration of Paralysis can be increased, decreased, or negated altogether with an appropriate skill. There is nothing a Hunter can do but to wait for the Paralysis to wear off or for certain attacks to send them flying. This status effect had been previously known as "Stun" in the early Monster Hunter games, but has recently been referred to as "Paralysis" to better differentiate it from the ailment caused by Flash Bombs and Impact-type attacks.
  • Covers the Hunter in bubbles. Upon the initial application, it grants the effects of Evasion+1 and Constitution+1, but being hit with more bubbles will cause the Hunter to slip and slide helplessly, unable to attack and with significantly reduced control over their movements.
  • The signature status effect of Nerscylla and Atoraru Ka, Webbed immobilizes the Hunter in a sticky film which prevents movement. Nerscylla mainly uses this opportunity to strike the victim with a sleep-inducing sting or a poisoning bite attack. It is possible to break free relatively easily just by rotating the analog pad.
  • A powerful but slow acting Poison that also reduces Defense.
  • Inflicted after being hit by the infamous farting or dung flinging attacks of the Congalala, Steel Uragaan etc. It causes the Hunter to be surrounded by a cloud of vile-smelling brown gas. Being Soiled disables the ability to use any consumable items such as Potions, Steaks, Hot/Cool Drinks, etc. Called "Stench" in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.
  • The Hunter becomes infected with a virus. It requires time to incubate, represented by a purple bar filling up below the Hunter's on-screen name. If the bar fills completely, the virus negates natural health recovery, meaning that the Hunter takes full damage from attacks without being able to heal back half of it. Additionally, all attacks which would cause the condition will deal extra damage while the virus is active. However, if the Hunter inflicts enough damage on a monster whilst the virus is incubating, they will grow stronger instead, gaining a 15% Affinity boost, as well as an immunity to reinfection for a short period of time. It is of note that a hunter receives damage over time whilst in a "virus pool". This damage can be quite significant, if prolonged.
  • Known as Slimeblight in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and Blastblight in Monster Hunter 4 onwards, this ailment will cover the Hunter in slime or explosive powder. Movement isn't hindered, but Hunters affected by it suffer a damaging explosion if struck by a monster, or if the status isn't rid of quickly by rolling a few times. Even blocked attacks can inflict this status. When affected, all blocking attempts will fail so it is advised to pay attention to the status icons next to the Hunter's name. When used against monsters, different colored effects will signify how many more hits are needed to trigger an explosion. When enough status is applied, an explosion occurs, dealing a fixed amount of damage on whatever part the triggering hit struck. The buildup then resets and the monster's tolerance increases like with the main status effects, making the next explosion a bit more difficult to trigger. Of note is that this effect is not affected by Status Attack Up, but instead the Bombardier armor skill, which makes applying the status faster but does not directly increase damage. Despite this, Blastblight is still a status, and is in turn affected by the CritStatus armor skill. The Bombardier armor skill grants a 1.2 multiplier to the status' potency. This isn't seen on the weapon's profile itself, but can be seen on the Status screen under the Hunter's raw Attack power. Obtaining the Felyne Pyro skill provides a 1.1 multiplier. The effects of Bombardier and Felyne Pyro can stack.
  • Causes the Ossified status if the Hunter rolls in bones.
  • When hit by a monster's Water attack, Hunters may experience Waterblight. It causes stamina to recover at a slower pace, making keeping up with monster attacks and maintaining stamina more difficult.
  • Occurs when a Hunter receives many attacks in a short period of time, but some monster attacks are guaranteed to cause it if they hit. When Stunned/Knocked Out, movement, attacking and items are completely disabled. The visual indication is a ring of yellow stars spinning above the affected target's head. All monsters can inflict Stun by means of repeated physical attacks, but some can inflict it immediately by emitting an extremely bright flash of light, or another special technique. When a monster is inflicted with it by use of a Flash Bomb, it attacks randomly until the effect wears off and if inflicted by repeated Impact-type attacks , the monster is completely immobilized for a short while. If a Flash Bomb is used then the monster is KO'd by an Impact hit, more stars circle around its head than normal but the effect duration is the same. The duration of the stun can be increased, decreased, or negated altogether with an appropriate skill. By rotating the analog stick used for movement in a circular motion and tapping the evasion button, the player can snap out of it on their own.
  • The Hunter will take damage when performing certain actions. Running, rolling, and attacking will all cause the affected Hunter to take damage due to bleeding. Hunters won't take damage when walking.
  • A status effect introduced in Monster Hunter Frontier's Season 8 update. It is only inflicted by Duremudira, Toa Tesukatora and Dyuragaua when it is in rage mode. When hit by their ice attacks, Hunters' stamina consumption will be doubled like with 'Iceblight'. Under the effect, the Hunter's Stamina will also decrease at a faster rate as if in a cold area.
  • The Hunter becomes magnetically charged, allowing them to be drawn towards or repelled by a monster when it performs other magnetism-based attacks.
  • When hit by a monster's Ice attack, Hunters may experience Iceblight. It greatly increases stamina expenditure, making keeping up with monster attacks more difficult, and making it harder to escape from monsters.
  • Some monsters may inflict a status that lowers a Hunter's Defense. Lasts for a certain period of time but can also be cured with Defense-increasing items.
  • The Hunter becomes blinded, making the screen almost completely dark.
  • The Hunter is covered in bones, impairing their movement and making them unable to attack.
  • A monster bites onto the Hunter and sucks their blood, gradually draining health. Multiple monsters may latch onto the Hunter at once, so they should be shaken off quickly. If a Giggi drains enough health, it becomes able to use a poison spit attack, and if a Zamite gains enough health, it will greatly increase in size and grow limbs.
  • A status effect inflicted when mud thrown by a monster covers the Hunter and makes movement more difficult. This disables weapons and most items from being used. Repeatedly spin the analog stick to speed up recovery, or use a Cleanser. The effects are very similar to the 'Snowman' effect.
  • Getting hit by an extremely cold attack can inflict Snowman. It's usually caused by a very cold breath attack that forms a layer of ice over the Hunter's body, preventing use of any items and attacks. Snowman can also be healed with being attacked or falling from a great height. Whilst in the Snowman status, it is possible to sprint without Stamina loss but movement speed is decreased slightly. In MH4U, sprinting DOES use stamina, but at a greatly reduced rate.
  • An even stronger version of Poison that reduces health at a extremely fast rate over a short period of time.

Not to be confused with hexes/blessings (displayed in lower right corner and character sheet). NPC status effects may be displayed over their head as a small icon. Death is a cure for all status effects. Many will wear off on their own after many turns. Note that speed modifiers from starvation, exhaustion and being overburdened stack additively rather than multiplicatively; for example, suffering from both 'VERY tired' and 'Burden!' will add up to -90%, slowing you down to 10% of your original (buffed) speed. When riding, only Weight status effects will affect speed; a tired, starving rider still has full speed as long as their mount is not slowed down.
Negative Status Effects include: 1. * Poison: Poisoned characters take damage at the beginning of each turn. You can become poisoned from walking into a swamp, occasionally from being diseased, or from being attacked with a poisoned weapon. Each of these has a chance to make your characters poisoned. The Toughness Character Trait boosts your chance to resist poisons, as do some items. Poison can be removed using a Level 1 Curing spell. 1. * Disease: Diseased characters do not suffer any immediate repercussions. Rather, the disease slowly gives other negative status effects. Can be removed through a Level 1 Curing spell. 1. * Slow: Slowed characters have less action points each turn. Often, they will only be able to move every second turn. 1. * Cursed: Cursed characters are much easier to hit, and take more damage. 1. * Sleep: Characters that are asleep are not able to move. 1. * Confused: 1. * Acid: Acid essentially works like an extreme version of poison. It takes of large amounts of Health each turn until it is removed. A level 3 Curing Spell can remove this from the character. Positive Status Effects include: 1. * Blessed: 1. * Hasted: 1. * Strength: 1. * Shielding:
