Paris, born into a long line of distinguished Starfleet officers, had a troubled relationship with the high expectations of his father, an admiral, who joined his friends and teachers to praise him as a child but remained tough and remote, telling him for instance that crying was a sign of weakness. He managed to graduate from Starfleet Academy after a stormy four years, almost failing stellar cartography as a freshman; he chose Marseilles, France as the site of his physical training second semester. He did hone his natural aptitude for piloting skills on craft large and small and proved adept at holo-engineering. Thomas Eugene "Tom" Paris was a secondary hero on the television series Star Trek: Voyager. Coming from a family that had given centuries of service to Starfleet, Tom was the son of Owen Paris - who was an Admiral by the mid 24th century. Tom grew up feeling inadequate to his father. When he came of age he went through Starfleet Academy and graduated to become an officer. Paris later rejoined the Voyager crew as first officer under Chakotay, and was still aboard when the ship was fitted with a slipstream drive and returned to the Delta Quadrant. Tom Paris is the actor who played Tom in the episode Captain Nemo, as well as the Announcer in Recovering Pessimist. Thomas Eugene Paris, or Tom Paris, is a male Human Starfleet officer in the 24th century who was famous as a crack starship pilot after his seven-year tour as the flight controller of the Intrepid-class USS Voyager. As of 2385, he has assumed the position of Chief Conn Officer of the Invincible-class Fleet Carrier-Heavy Battleship prototype USS Invincible. 2371-2378: Steuermann - U.S.S. Voyager, NCC-74656 ab 2387: Steuermann - U.S.S. Lieutenant JG Thomas Eugene Paris was a human Starfleet officer best known for serving as the chief flight controller aboard the USS Voyager during its seven-year journey from the Delta Quadrant to the Alpha Quadrant. (Star Trek: Voyager) But while all of this may seem charming to a late-20th and early-21st century writers and audience, few have given any serious consideration to what Tom Paris represents in the 24th century. He's a nerd! One of those clowns who run around in 16th-century cosplay at Renaissancefest! It's true! What would you think if you were in the military and one of your mates kept talking about taking fencing lessons and playing Robin Hood? You'd want to get as far away from him as possible, as fast as possible!!! Akademia Floty Gwiezdnej, San Francisco, Ziemia. * 23??-23?? Służba na U.S.S. „Exeter” NCC-26531 * 23??-2370(?) The son of a famous Starfleet Admiral, Tom Paris has suffered from being under his fathers shadow all of his life. He has always been afraid that no matter what he does he will come a poor second in his family; as a result he has tended to engage in destructive behaviour, both in his career and personal life, in order to prevent direct comparisons. Paris will almost inevitably act to destroy any part of his life which is succeeding by engaging in reckless and irresponsible acts, a tendency that came to a head during his academy years. During a training exercise Paris caused the deaths of several other cadets; initially he lied about this to the inquiry board, but was overcome by guilt and eventually decided to tell the truth. Starfleet expelled him from the academy, causing a rift with his

Syn admirála Owena Parise vysoce postaveného příslušníka velitelství Hvězdné flotily, bývalého kapitána hvězdné lodě USS Al-Batani. Despite his family legacy, Paris buckled under to the self-imposed pressure and tried to cover-up an error that caused the deaths of three officers at Caldik Prime; it was only his self-confession at the point he would have been exonerated that netted him a discharge rather than harsher punishment. After leaving Starfleet he turned to the Maquis for fulfillment as a fighter pilot, but was captured by Starfleet on his first mission and this time was sentenced to the Federation Penal Settlement near Auckland, New Zealand, wearing an alarm anklet. Paris was given a reprieve of sorts in early 237,1 when he was temporarily released from the rehab colony and given a second chance by Captain Janeway, who needed him to scout her new starship through the Badlands in search of her lost security chief who had been undercover among a Maquis crew Paris had served with, led by former Lt. Cmdr. Chakotay. Had he successfully completed the mission Paris could have applied for permanent parole, but ironically he and the rest of the Voyager crew are missing and presumed lost in the Badlands plasma storms, last contact SD. In later counseling, Paris revealed an unsatisfying relationship with women that has fostered no long-term associations, including a relationship with Susie Crabtree as an Academy freshman and a French woman, "Ricky," met during his Marseilles semester. He also has an affinity for antique Earth ground vehicles and Terran American history and culture, especially of the 20th century, and has enjoyed sailing in true life and in holo-programs. File Update: Delta Quadrant Addendum Report by Capt. Kathryn Janeway, U.S.S. Voyager After his actions during the ship's odyssey into the Delta Quadrant and the "Caretaker" encounter, I have granted Paris a field promotion to lieutenant. Given a second chance, he has stood tall, not only keeping the ship safe through his piloting skills but counseling Torres through the wrenching division of her soul and saving his onetime Maquis enemy Chakotay, though his stint as an aide to the EMH Doctor was short. Before our encounter with the '37s he had never landed a starship of this variety before — I am unclear whether he literally included smaller craft as Runabouts — but he landed within the 2 km range I specified Thomas Eugene Paris es un oficial de la Flota Estelar que sirvió a bordo de la USS Voyager como timonel en los siete años que pasaron extraviados en el Cuadrante Delta. Tom Paris is the actor who played Tom in the episode Captain Nemo, as well as the Announcer in Recovering Pessimist. The son of a famous Starfleet Admiral, Tom Paris has suffered from being under his fathers shadow all of his life. Starfleet expelled him from the academy, causing a rift with his family which has never had the chance to heal. Paris soon decided to join the Maquis, but he was not well regarded there. He served under Chakotay, who regarded him as an opportunist who would work for "anybody who could pay his bar bills" - an assessment that paris agreed with. On his very first mission for the Maquis Paris was captured and sentenced to serve time in a Starfleet rehabilitation centre. Whilst at the centre Paris was approached by Captain Janeway. She asked his help in capturing Chakotay, who had recently gone missing in the Badlands, in return for Starfleets support for an early release. Paris agreed, and was subsequently dragged into the Delta Quadrant with Voyager. He has served as Conn officer on the ship ever since. His time on Voyager has seen something of a change in Paris; he has matured a good deal, becoming a more stable person. In 2374 he became romantically involved with B'Elanna, and this has provided a further stabilizing influence in his life. In 2377 the two were married, and when she became pregnant shortly afterwards Tom began to become more responsible. He was even looking forward to a reconciliation with his father when the ship finally reached home, an event which happened just as his daughter was born. Lieutenant JG Thomas Eugene Paris was a human Starfleet officer best known for serving as the chief flight controller aboard the USS Voyager during its seven-year journey from the Delta Quadrant to the Alpha Quadrant. (Star Trek: Voyager) Thomas Eugene Paris, or Tom Paris, is a male Human Starfleet officer in the 24th century who was famous as a crack starship pilot after his seven-year tour as the flight controller of the Intrepid-class USS Voyager. As of 2385, he has assumed the position of Chief Conn Officer of the Invincible-class Fleet Carrier-Heavy Battleship prototype USS Invincible. But while all of this may seem charming to a late-20th and early-21st century writers and audience, few have given any serious consideration to what Tom Paris represents in the 24th century. 2371-2378: Steuermann - U.S.S. After he caused the deaths of three fellow officers in an accident Paris was cashiered out of the fleet. He drifted around before finding his way in to the Maquis, an organization defending border colonists from the Cardassian Empire. Paris was captured during his first mission and was sentenced to the penal colony in New Zealand. Recruited by Captain Kathryn Janeway to help track down a missing Maquis ship, he was onboard USS Voyager when it was pulled into the Delta Quadrant. After Captain Janeway destroyed the Caretaker's array they were left stranded over 70 years from home. Janeway gave Paris a field commission at the rank of Lieutenant (jg) and he became the crew's helmsman. Over the next seven years Paris became an intergral part of the Voyager crew, becoming friends not only with Ensign Harry Kim but a fair number of the crew as well. He dated Megan Delaney briefly and was very attracted to Kes. Paris was attracted to B'Elanna Torres, who at first made it clear she did not like him, calling him a pig. As the ship made it way home over the next seven years her feelings changed and the two feel in love and were married in 2377. The following year just as Voyager was finally reaching home they had their daughter Miral. Even though Paris was a valued member of the crew he had a rebellious streak that didn't sit well with Commander Chakotay or Captain Janeway. Janeway sentenced him to 30 days in the brig and demoted him to Ensign for about a year after Paris violated her orders when he tried to help a member of the Monean race to keep their world from falling apart. He would regain his Lieutenant (jg) rank the following year when Janeway felt that he had redeemed himself. After Voyager returned to Earth Paris along with the rest of the crew were promoted two steps in rank, becoming a Lieutenant Commander. He went with his wife and daughter to the Klingon world of Boreth on a quest to locate B'Elanna's mother, who had disappeared in the jungles of that world. Paris later rejoined the Voyager crew as first officer under Chakotay, and was still aboard when the ship was fitted with a slipstream drive and returned to the Delta Quadrant. there was also the incident in threshold where he turned into a lizard after breaking warp 10 but that episode was erased from canon by brannon braga.
