A group of normal aliens asks for Rick's help to defeat the evil entity that's taking over their minds. Unity takes control of the group's minds, and it recognizes Rick. Rick introduces it to his grandkids, Morty and Summer. Rick explains that Unity and he used to date. Unity communicates with Rick through the alien citizens, sometimes switching between male or female avatars mid-conversation. It tells Rick its plans to manage an organization efficient enough to merge with the Galactic Federation, where it will have access to countless other worlds for it to assimilate until it becomes "what the single-minded once called a god". Rick is impressed by this and the two quickly rekindle their relationship as lovers. Unity has so much fun reconnecting with Rick and performing crazy stunts to impress him that it gradually loses control of the citizens it is possessing. Its citizens start a race war after becoming more free-willed, chasing after Morty and Summer. Unity controls a SWAT team to come and rescue them. Summer and Morty, traumatized, insist to be taken home. Summer explains that Rick has an unhealthy impact on Unity and expresses her disapproval toward their relationship. Rick decides to stay, but Unity writes breakup letters that spread across the alien planet. It confesses its love for Rick, but ultimately concedes that they cannot be together. Rick returns home and attempts suicide, but narrowly fails.

Those who have shared Unity retain a connection, although this can only be exploited in specific circumstances; when Moya was frozen in time while trying to escape a center halo, Zhaan was able to transfer her energy to Crichton to allow him to keep moving despite the time freeze caused by the halo due to the bond they shared from their previous moment of unity, although this transference was only possible with Stark aiding Zhaan.

- The special effect is essentially a Health Link affix for players, splitting unsaved damage taken between all players and followers within 100 yards who are also wearing Unity rings. The damage reduction is determined by the target who takes it, so other linked targets cannot use their own protection against this damage. If either linked target is completely immune to damage (or at least to that elemental damage type), they will not suffer any unsaved damage, and will not transfer any damage to others. Dead / incapacitated targets may not take part of the damage on themselves. Remember it works two ways, so the player can be killed by the damage their ally is taking. So, Andrell created the most physically and Force-balanced lightsaber technique known by combining his former mixed style with near total connection to the Force, and called it Unity. Unity required an extremely strong knowledge of the Force, yet in ways was simpler than any other form. Unity worked by one giving their fighting will over to the Force, and letting it do the fighting for them. Thus, its simplicity lied in the fact that the wielder had to perform almost no physical action; the usage of the saber would be mental, but with physical outcome. Unity had proven superior to the classic forms, and Andrell had trained a handful of other Neo-Sith in its use, including Neo-Sith Warrior Gelu Torva. Essentially, Andrell's method of fighting with the Force's will could be applied to any lightsaber form, but would only augment the wielder within the general confines of whatever form or forms they had been training with.
