The planet is a rocky and forboding world but nonetheless does not suffer for a lack of labor, as many young workers from neighboring Snowmelt eagerly toil in the mines in an effort to make credits to escape the doldrums of that highly populated and frigid planet. Politicians have taken note of this trend and have initiated the "Gem is truly outrageous" campaign, in an effort to stop young people from leaving the Fomalhaut system. The one thing they must not do is combine them; instead, sell them at auction, and use the money to buy higher level gems at auction. The formula below proves it: four gems, or five at higher levels, is always worth more to sell at auction than the next highest gem to buy at auction. Plus you are helping the economy run smoothly. It was never completely clear how exactly the GEMs were supposed to work, but from MC's blogs it became clear than they were more or less to be a tycoon-style mini-game, sold separately, like a mini-expansion or a plug-in for the main game. In the Planet Offer online interface there was a description category for each city: 'GEMs installed in this city', which suggests that after buying it you would have been able to activate it in a city, or not. Gems are collectible stones that appear throughout the Crash Bandicoot series. Gems are typically different than the power crystals, as in they are more powerful than the crystals if all of the gems are collected as stated by N. Brio in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. Whether that information is accurate is questionable as it seems that Uka Uka wants the crystals more than the gems since Crash collects these throughout the series. They are usually collected through different means and special tasks like breaking all the crates in a certain level. The gems also appear in different colors, which are more special and rare than the regular gems. In Crash Twinsanity there are six gems hidden in each level for Crash to collect which count towards 100% completion. In either case, GEMs are preserved when an Otome cancels their contract, as is evidenced by the Pure White Diamond, the Sky Blue Sapphire and the Abyssal Green Jadeite. However, the Excel Elegance White Onyx is never shown after Fiar is killed by Midori. Some GEMs are also lost, such as the Neptune Emerald shown in the last episode of Mai-Otome Zwei. Occupation: Commander in the Succession Wars Sorceress of Noraston Druid of AvLee Defender of the Contested Lands GEM (Graphical Environment Manager) was a windowing system created by Digital Research, Inc. (DRI) for use with the CP/M operating system on the Intel 8088 and Motorola 68000 microprocessors. Later versions ran over DOS as well. GEM is known primarily as the graphical user interface (GUI) for the Atari ST series of computers, and was also supplied with a series of IBM PC-compatible computers from Amstrad. It was the core for a small number of DOS programs, the most notable being Ventura Publisher. It was ported to a number of other computers that previously lacked graphical interfaces, but never gained popularity on those platforms. DRI also produced FlexGem for their FlexOS real-time operating system. The statues in Bandos's throne room frequently drop cut gems from sapphire through diamond, making the room popular for some gem hunters who can kill the statues easily. Completion of The Chosen Commander is required for access to the throne room. Some gems can be purchased from, stolen from, or sold to a gem shop identified with a red gem File:Gem shop map icon.png icon on the world map. Kelly ?, code name Gem, is one of the Whateley Martial Arts Cheerleaders, and one of the Yellow Queen's flunkies. The brunette suddenly transformed, so she looked like she was made out of an ornately carved gemstone, in a nearly-translucent blue. It was also a common female Cerean name. The category of gems are Rare, Very Rare, Ultra Rare, Legendary, Mythical, and Otherworldly. Members can get any category of items from Gems, Non-Members can only get rare items or can buy any gems using eCoins ..... See Gems for more. [[w:|]][[Category: derivations|Gem]] ġimm, from [[w:|]][[Category: derivations|Gem]] gemma; refashioned in Middle English under the influence of Old French gemme A gem is generally an item that can be used as an ingredient primarily for Jewelcrafting recipes or placed into a socket of another item to give that item additional bonuses, powers and/or procs. Jewelcrafters can turn raw gems into socket gems or various jewelry items like rings and necklaces. The term "gem" can be used for raw or cut stones, but is often only used to describe cut gems. A gem cannot be removed once it is placed into a socket, however it can be overwritten by another, destroying it in the process. Gem was one of the captive phenoms in 'Alphabet Soup' along with his twin sister, Gemma. Both speak in conjoined sentences with a high level of energy. They attempted to befriend the solitary Dr. K and even gave her a birthday present, even though they knew she didn't like them. He and his sister were the original testers for the prototype ranger gear for Project Ranger. Later on, Dr. K discovers that they were being deceived into staying in the Alphabet Soup facility, and tries to get them out of the facility only to face dire consequences. When Venjix gets past Alphabet Soup and seeps into the world, he and his sister help Dr. K get out of the facility when her "caretakers" tried to kill her. He was last seen with his sister running off to collect the classified Gold and Silver Series Bio-Suits before a section of Alphabet Soup collapsed behind them. __NOWYSIWYG__ Gem is a consumable released on September 4, 2012 as a reward for harvesting finished Floating Castle. It also can be obtained via wall post fed or as a friend reward for finishing some quests. It was used for filling up Gem Tower and it can be used for redeeming for special rewards. Kamień szlachetny (ang. Gem) można pozyskać przypadkowo w trakcie wydobywania rud metali i minerałów. Wszystkie klejnoty mogą zostać oszlifowane z użyciem dłuta i połączone z metalami szlachetnymi w biżuterię. Tę gracze mogą zaczarować z pomocą odpowiednich zaklęć. Magiczna biżuteria oferuje noszącemu ją rozmaite bonusy. Gem is Ranger Operator Series Gold, or simply Ranger Gold, of the Ranger Operators. His operation number is seven. Retroactively, he is also referred to as the RPM Gold Ranger or Gold RPM Ranger, though these are in reference to the show, as opposed to proper labels. A gem was a valuable stone found in Faerûn. The gem appears in season 1 and others of Crash Bandicoot: The televison series. This article is a . You can help My English Wiki by expanding it. Gem to Ranger Operator Serii Złotej, albo inaczej nazywany Złotym Rangerem, należy do zespołu Rangersów Operatorów. Gem is one of the Federation's primary mining planets. Substantial reserves of valuable minerals and precious stones make Gem's mines all the more valuable. In 2268, she was tested by a species called the Vians to see if her people were worthy to be saved from a supernova that was threatening her planet. The Vians had the power to save one species. Spock, McCoy, and Kirk were kidnapped by the Vians and subjected to various forms of torture to test Gem's reaction and to determine if her species was worthy of being saved. They wanted to know if Gem would help them. Apparently the Vians wanted to be certain that she and her people had learned the principles of self-sacrifice, compassion and the love of life from her contact with the Humans. These qualities would make her civilization worthy to survive. The Vians tested Gem's capacity for compassion and how far she would go to save another being. After Kirk was tortured, Gem healed his wounds. When Dr. McCoy was tortured and near death, Gem was at first frightened by the extent of his injuries and did not help him. Then, Gem approached McCoy and moved her hands on McCoy's face, transferring his injuries to her. Gem collapsed, sobbing, and recoiled in fear because she knew that to heal him, she would have to die. She tried to help him more, but moved away in fear. However, she overcame her fears and offered her life to save McCoy's, but McCoy refused to allow her to die and shoved her away. The Vians healed McCoy and, taking Gem with them, teleported from the laboratory. The Vians determined that her people were worth saving, and her planet was spared from destruction. (TOS: "The Empath" ) Gem was played by actress Kathryn Hays. When beginning the game as Sonic, the first Town Mission involves an old shoemaker named Alberto Robert. He has created the ultimate shoes, known as Custom Shoes, that use the power of Soleanna's mysterious stones to transform. He lets Sonic try out the Custom Shoes, and when the results of this test are successful, he is so proud of the shoes that he lets Sonic keep them. frame|Gem w Homm II Gem (z jęz. ang. - "klejnot") - bohaterka standardowa Heroes of Might and Magic: A Strategic Quest (czarodziejka), Heroes of Might and Magic II (czarodziejka), Heroes of Might and Magic III (druidka, wyjątkowo we wszystkich misjach kampanii "Nowy początek" posiadała klasę czarodziejki) oraz Heroes of Might and Magic IV (druidka). Jeden z głównych protagonistów Cienia Śmierci (dodatek do H3). Uczennica Amandy. 1. Wkrótce potem skorzystała z oferty młodego, tajemniczego czarodzieja Sandro i rozpoczęła poszukiwania trzech artefaktów potrzebnych do stworzenia Płaszcza Nieumarłego Króla. W kampanii uzyskała nowy portret w interfejsie, a w "Nowym początku" jej historia tak została zaprezentowana: Gem to jedna z największych czarodziejek w Enroth. Gem is a miscellaneous item in Fallout Tactics that can be found in the Titanic special encounter. The Gem is used to open the stone door at the end of the Dark Maze. The door has a hole, in which the Gem is to be placed, triggering the door to rise. The Gem is found in the locked Pirate's Chest located in the Underground Piers section beneath Derceto. Sought ever since ancient times, precious stones were a priority on the battlefields of GWWII and GWWIII. They were processed in the ore refinery alongside regular ore, once they had been mined. The most valuable commodity on Earth before the arrival of tiberium, both Allied and Soviet forces demonstrated an eagerness to claim these resources, ultimately leading to their complete exhaustion and the reliance on regular ore until the eventual arrival of tiberium on Earth. Nearly all of them on the planet had been extracted by the Soviet and Allied war industries by the time of the defeat of Yuri's psychic armies. However, it is believed that Soviet time-travel cheated this fate, allowing gems to be present yet again in a new alternate timeline. However, in alternate history World War III gems are no longer designated as strategic objects on the battlefield and are therefore not extracted by Allied, Soviet or Imperial forces to fund war efforts. This is because mining operations now focused solely on the collection of molten semi-processed standard ore, from next-gen civilian mineral extraction structures designated as 'ore nodes'. Blue tiberium, which first became a strategic substance on the battlefields of the Second Tiberium War, can be considered the direct equivalent to gems. Gems are the purchasable in game currency that can be used for many purposes. Things Gems can be spent on: * Gem Spawns to acquire new and powerful gear. * Fully restore your AP for 1 Gem. * Multiple Purchases from the Gem Shop. * Logging in for 5 days straight will award a Gem bonus of 1 Gem. * Participating in a GvG once a day will award the player 1 Gem win or lose. Once per day. * Completing certain quests and clearing the Wanted list will award a Gem. * Completing certain Achievements can award the player 1 to 10 Gems. Gems are stones that have a particular luster and shine. Gems are magical found in treasure. Players use them to charge wands or complete quests. They are also found in rings, but the method to place a gem into a ring is a secret. Only Piper knows where he gets them. A GEM (Game Extension Module) was one of Monte Cristo's original concepts for developing the game. Possibly, activating a GEM would have changed gameplay in this particular city. The main idea for the actual mechanics of the mini-game was oriented towards concentrating in a particular resource, and developing it in much more detail, than it was possible in the basic game. For example, the first GEM planned, and almost completed, the Ski GEM, was to enable you to build ski resorts, complete with ski tracks of different difficuly, running down the snowy slopes of the many mountain maps of the game. In case your resort were successful, it would bring in a large amount of tax revenue, allowing the city to sustain itself exclusively from this activity. Other GEMs that were planned were the Beach GEM, dealing with running a sea resort (this was to be the second GEM, and as such was developed also quite extensively), an Airport GEM, dealing with running and expanding airports, and an Industrial GEM. Other files in the code suggest also other Transport-oriented GEMs were planned. Unfortunately, Monte Cristo's bankruptcy put these marvelous plans on an indefinite hold. The only development, seen to date, is the inclusion of the majority of the Ski and Beach buildings, with limited functionality, as the Mountain and Beach packs in Cities XL 2012. Gems are simple, (usually) lightweight items you find in the dungeon. They come in three varieties: valuable gems, worthless glass which looks similar, and gray stones. Another type of item that uses the same glyph is the rock, which is dealt with differently. Valuable (identified) gems may be sold for relatively large amounts of money at most general stores, which makes them valuable as a compact form of money. However, shopkeepers will always buy unidentified gems as if they are worthless glass, and will always sell unidentified gems as if they are valuable. (Gems are subject to the random +33% surcharge in recent versions.) Valuable gems may also be thrown to a co-aligned unicorn in order to get a large Luck increase. Throwing any valuable or worthless gem to a unicorn will pacify them, and will variably raise or lower luck in certain cases. See the unicorn page for more details. More commonly, since money and Luck are overabundant later in the game, players save all of the valuable gems they find, stashing them away so that they can be added to the player's score upon the completion of the game. Glass and rocks are relatively worthless, though they can be used for throwing if you should wish to conserve your other attacks. Additionally, they can occasionally be polymorphed into more valuable gems if included in a polypile, though it's not worth wasting a wand charge on them. Rocks can also be changed in to meatballs, useful for taming and for sale in shops. Despite the name, a worthless piece of glass will not shatter like other glass items if thrown against a wall or dropped while levitating. __TOC__ Gray stones are a catchall for four different objects until they are identified. * Touchstones may be used to identify glass from gems, and even the variety of gem if it is a blessed touchstone. * Luckstones will augment your luck rather impressively; if you have a blessed luckstone and no other luckitems, your good Luck will not timeout, bad Luck will, and you'll get +3 extra Luck. * Loadstones are a pun (dating back to early editions of Dungeons and Dragons): at 500 weight units, they weigh 50 times as much as the other gray stones, and they autocurse (and are generated cursed) so they cannot be dropped. * Flint stones have no particular purpose, but they do slightly better as sling ammo. Gem is an X5 who escaped Manticore when Max Guevara destroyed the facility. The Gem is a Buzz Bee blaster that was released in 2015 under the Ultra-Tek sub-series. It comes packaged in the Gem 2-Pack and the Star/Reaper/Gem Set. It cannot be purchased separately. Gems are high-risk, high-profit commodities intended for traders and found on all oceans except the Crimson and Jade oceans. There is one type of gem per archipelago, where the gems may be sold for profit, and only one island in that archipelago will purchase gems. Event gems are the exception to this, but are rarely seen. Gems GEM also known as "General Extermination Military" is a fictional military organization in the anime-influenced animation, Creature Planet. Gems are a standard addition to Armor and Weapons (and with the new Stones, Accessories), a cheap easy effective and therefore important form of character . Mostly called "Shards" until higher levels. Starting players can afford gems if they regularly do Jolly Old Jones; if they do not, but do quests to level that give gem rewards, they will be benefited most from selling these rewards at the Auctioneer, or from using them. If the prices offered do not reflect the below formula, then either the low or higher gem price has been set too high or low; take advantage of this and buy and resell the gems sold at too low a price or undercut the greedy player selling them too high. For each level from 7 and up (Flawless, Immaculate, etc), multiply the price by three to get a rough estimate of the price of the next level of shard. This is most true of Citrines or Garnets. Sapphires run for less; this does reflect an unwillingness on the part of Heavy Armor players to do the right thing and make a magic-defense set or pieces of armor, but it is the norm. So, a Flawless Garnet goes for about 250,000-350,000, and an Immaculate Garnet, for around a million or just under, a Perfect Garnet for about 3 million, and an Incomparable for about 9 million. Level 11 Gems are a little cheaper at 17 million, probably due to their relative abundance in a particular pack, and Drakeflame stones and their ilk are way up at 70 million. Even level 13 gems, with bonuses like "+ to attack level" cost little more than that. Because gems and shards are obtained by players from opening packs from the Boutique, they are commonly offered in large quantities at the Auction House. Gems are added to and removed from armor by any Blacksmith NPC. In 2013, the PW Boutique Agent was made capable of replacing equipped gems with other gems. The option at the Blacksmith costs half as much as the Agent, even for a single gem, multiplied by the number of gems, usually up to four. Removing shards that are too low for the weapon is already a choice that offers certain loss and only potential gain, and it is exacerbated by the unnecessary degree of warning from the Blacksmith's pop-up dialogue "this will remove all imbued properties", which makes it sound like the Refining level would be affected. It is not. The Purify option at the Blacksmith removes gems, and only gems. All of them, but only gems. Although the database shows the cost of purifying a gem as being equal to the cost of imbuing it, this may not always be the case. The level 8 "Powerful" gems offered by the Raising Baby Wukon quest had higher bonuses than level 9 gems. For example, Lv 9 Perfect Citrine is +62 HP and Lv 8 Immaculate Citrine is +50 HP, while the Powerful Citrine is +65. Except for the Five Columns, the GEM requires authorization from the Otome's master before it allows her to materialize her Robe. It is never clear how Meister GEMs are made in the anime; in the manga, in the opening of chapter 2, it is explicitly mentioned that Meister GEMs cannot be made. Gem could be: * Haven-Gem * Gemlin Gems A gem is generally an item that can be used as an ingredient primarily for Jewelcrafting recipes or placed into a socket of another item to give that item additional bonuses, powers and/or procs. Names in other mods: Advanced: Power Cell Emerald: Emerald Opal: Crystal Revived: Revival Coin Jeef: Jeef Money Gems are precious stones found through Mining rocks, dropped by monsters, or through panning for gold at the Digsite. Gems can be cut using a chisel depending on your Crafting level and the rarity of the gem. Gems can also be used with a gold bar to craft jewellery. Gems (Japanese: ジェム, Jemu) are a type of equipment in Xenoblade Chronicles that provide a mechanical bonus of some sort, such as increasing Strength by 20, or resisting 50% of Spike Damage. Gems are activated by equipping them on Weapons or Armour which have gem slots. Many weapons and armour are available both with and without gem slots. Alternatively, some weapons and armour, called Unique items, have gems permanently attached to them. Each piece of armour can hold up to one gem, and a weapon can hold up to three gems. Thus a character can equip up to eight gems. Some gems can only be equipped on one type of equipment - either weapons or armour, while others can be equipped on both weapons and armour. Gems are precious and semi-precious stones. They have little use aside from their monetary value, though certain gems might be used in item creation. Some gems are plot or henchman related. Gems are items that grant bonuses to Weapons and Armor when installed in Sockets. Gems are items that appear in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. They appear in every mansion where they are usually hidden in rooms. Every mansion has a different type of Gem. Once Luigi collects every Gem in the game, he will be awarded with a Luigi Statue. There are a total of 13 Gems in each mansion and a grand total of 65 Gems in the entire game. Gems in the Might and Magic universe are precious stones that are used for several different things throughout the games. CD。 Gem was a Siren who worked in the armory underneath the Arena, outfitting conscripts with armor for the games.
