He was corrupted even before birth, and possessed by the spirit of the demonlord Sargeras who used Medivh in his plan to conquer Azeroth. Medivh contacted the orcish warlock, Gul'dan, and together they opened the Dark Portal, which allowed the Burning Legion to begin its destruction of Azeroth. He was slain in his tower of Karazhan shortly after by a party led by one of his friends, Lord Anduin Lothar, and his former apprentice, Khadgar. Shortly before the beginning of the Third War, Medivh returned as a mysterious prophet, manipulating events in order to arrange the formation of a last-ditch alliance between the mortal races on Kalimdor, guiding them to victory at the Battle of Mount Hyjal. The prophet's name means "keeper of secrets" in Thalassian. He possessed Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian.

Kurz darauf wurde Medivh von einer Gruppe, die sein Freund Anduin Lothar anführte, getötet. Kurz vor dem Dritten Krieg kehrte Medivh als geheimnisvoller Prophet zurück. Er versuchte eine letzte Allianz zwischen den sterblichen Rassen von Kalimdor zu schmieden, flehte die Rassen von Azeroth an, das Land zu verlassen und leitete die letzte Schlacht gegen die Legion am Berg Hyjal. Der Name "Medivh" bedeutet "Bewahrer der Geheimnisse" aus Thalassianisch. Medivh ist im Besitz von Atiesh, einem legendären Stab. Medivh wurde vom Schauspieler Ben Foster im Film Warcraft: The Beginning dargestellt.
  • Magus Medivh (thal. "Behüter der Geheimnisse") war der letzte Wächter von Tirisfal, einer alte Linie von Beschützern welche es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht hatten, gegen die Brennende Legion vorzugehen. Er galt als Berater König Llanes und war ein Kindheitsfreund Lothars. Zudem war er der einzige menschliche Zauberer, vor dem selbst Todesschwinge Respekt hatte. Zu seinen Spezialgebieten zählte die Astronomie. Bereits vor seiner Geburt wurde er im Mutterleib vom Geist Sargeras' besessen und eröffnete mit Gul'dan das Dunkle Portal, welches der Horde erlaubte, nach Azeroth zu gelangen und ihre Verwüstung zu beginnen. Medivh wurde schließlich durch Garona, Lothar und Khadgar aufgehalten. Kurz vor dem Ausbruch des Dritten Krieges wandelte Medivh erneut auf Azeroth, diesmal als mysteriöser Prophet, welcher die sterblichen Völker zur Entscheidungsschlacht am Berg Hyjal führte.
  • Magus Medivh var den siste Vokter av Tirisfal, som kjempet imot Den Brennende Legion. Han var kontrollert av Demonkongen Sargeras, og han var en del av demonkongens plan om å erobre Azeroth. Medivh kontaktet Gul'dan, og sammen åpnet de Dark portal, som gjorde det mulig for Horden å komme inn i Azeroth. Han ble drept etter kort tid av Khadgar, hans daværende lærling. Like før starten av den tredje krigen returnerte Medivh som en mystisk profet, for å advare rasene imot Den Brennende Legions plan om å erobre Azeroth. Profetens navn betyr "Vokteren av hemmeligheter" på Thalassian.
